I knew that there would be a bevy of house negroes and double-minded, hypocritical sisters that not only would whole-heartedly congratulate Halle but also be waiting for my comment so that they would have something to get irate about.

Furthermore, since you brought up Serena Williams, she’s exhibit A. Many black women love to say that famous black women don’t go into the magazines to slam the black man. Serena Williams gave a virtual dissertation on why the “successful black woman” MUST leave the black man behind because he’s virtual kryptonite. When the reporter that she confessed to leaked what she said, she cried, sobbed, lied, and pleaded. At least Polow Da Don was a man and stood by what he said. I’d prefer forthrightness to the tacit mentality that some black women seem to have.
