THE NEW MUSIC REVIEW

50 Cent, Jay-Z & Diddy – I Get Money (Forbes Remix) (full) – listen
So remember these three topped Forbes’ ‘Hip-Hop Cash King’ list this year? Yeah, well they made a song about it. There’s not much to be said about it, except that Jay-Z and Diddy are on it. Other than that, it’s the typical “I Get Money” remix. I guess it’s cool that they just got on a track to talk about how much money they have. I mean, I love when people throw their money in my face. Either way, the song knocks. 50 and Jay’s verses are my favorite.

Q. Amey – Catching Feelings (full) – listen
Honestly, I don’t understand why Q. Amey hasn’t taken off yet. “Forever Girl” came out two summers ago, and now it seems as he’s not releasing any new material as a single. I know he’s been in the studio, writing for other people, but I’m very much so fond of his voice. There really aren’t any new, young talented males out right now, and I think he can definitely fill that void. “Catching Feelings” is produced by the homie Bryan-Michael Cox, I love when he does stuff like this. The song is uptempo but it’s still very mellow. I just love the feel of the track. There’s no reason that this boy isn’t out.

Gwen Stefani feat. Damian Marley – Now That You’ve Got It (full) – listen
Angel posted Gwen’s new video over the weekend, so I thought I’d just post the follow-up radio edit. This song comes from Gwen’s latest album, The Sweet Escape, which was released late last year. It’s Gwen’s fourth single from the album, and it’s produced by Swizz Beats. She added Damian Marley on to the track, and Swizzy switches up the production a bit. This was actually one of my favorite tracks from the album.

3LW – It’s Not All About Me (full) – listen
New 3LW? I could have sworn they’d just decided no more 3LW and they were just going to be the Cheetah Girls! No, I’m joking – but they are making great money over at Disney. Even though this sounds really old school, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were coming out with some new stuff. It was rumored a while ago that they were going to release a new album. Remember that single “Feelin’ You?” There was no album to follow, and there were also some tracks recorded with Rich Harrison. So maybe “It’s Not All About Me” is from a batch of new material.

The remix is not hot like I thought it would be. Jay just didn’t do it for me he is the G.O.A.T
    IMO

  2. jscene

Is Jayz really happy about Ye’s success? Why is he always hyping another rapper,. NOT on his label? Just wondering….he threw me when he won an award last year for rapper of the year and told Luda, this is yours next year man. WTF! How bout your lil bro beyotch who you knew had a cd coming out…..With that award, one eyebrow was already raised, then when i heard “big brother” on Ye’s cd, then my other eyebrow was raised….hmmmm, i smell a bit intimidation here. Just my opinion.

  3. BRWNCRAYOLA

I guess Dark Vadar hopped on the remix too…(*In Living Color voice) “Hated It!”

  4. Alexis

That Gwen Stefani and Junior Gong song is wassup. I like the beat and I’ve always like Damian.

  5. Slick Ant

I’m killing the roof like Michael Vick…………..nice.

  6. SeQuoya

  8. I ♥ Q. Amey!

    especially “In My Dreams”

  9. backingbarack

    3lw sounds tlc-ish

  10. Diddy…ehhh.
T.I., get your money game past Diddy so you can get up on this remix…
(Diddy probably wont go anywhere though since Sean Jean and his Cologne is doin’ well and the full rights of Biggie’s stuff is really raking in the money.)

    Q. Amey…deserves a real chance at the majors. I always thought so.

3LW…uhhh another go around. I like Kiely and all but damn…just stick to that big paycheck called Disney

  11. BOOOOOO!!!! to the ” I get money” remix.

  12. 3LW – very mediocre, it’s boring.
Gwen – I like the reggae version better.
    Q. Amey – just stay out of the limelight.
50 – didn’t even bother. He just gets on my nerves, him and Kanye both. I’m putting Beyonce back on my “Artist I can tolerate” list.

  13. Landon

DAMN DIDDY SOUND LIKE A HAM ON THAT REMIX,

  14. queenie

Like the 50 remix. Jay’s subliminal messages are killin em. Q Amey is good. Gwen is ok. I liked her better in her No Doubt days more. 3LW is ok. I’m kinda jaded about them doin that one girl wrong.

  15. crystale

50 OWNS 10% OF VITAMIN WATER NOT 3%

  16. -I can definitely live without the damn I get money remix. We know all yall get money why yall gotta keep rubbing it in the poor people’s face. Next.

    - The Q joint is hot probably the hottest think in this new music review. Who is this yall? It’s not the Q from 112 is it?

-3LW the song had a good message but it was just annoying as hell. Remember when Destiny’s Child would always have that one message song to young women. That is what this song reminded me of but just worse. Their voices aren’t strong. Stick with Disney, I like the Cheetah Girls!!

  17. Oh that Gwen Staffani Joint was annoying as hell. “What u gon do about it?” I’ll tell you what I’m gon do. I’m gon strangle the mess out of you if you keep asking me what I’m gon do about it. Go play in traffic Gwen.

  18. solizzay

damn, what a blooper… the engineer forgot to delete diddy’s part.
