Check out Beyonce’s American Express commercial for their “Are you a Cardmember?” communications campaign. Shot by Paul Walker, the tv spot will air on national outlets starting this week. You may remember us posting candids of her shooting the commercial last month in New York.
In other Beyonce news, she is gearing up to release “The Beyonce Experience” tour dvd on November 27th so, look out for that if you missed her this past summer.

I clearly remember Beyonce saying that she’d NEVER shop online because she was so afraid of identity theft. Also, unless Solange had some secret babies with Lil Wayne, those beautiful brown children were not a good match to play her nephew(s).
Either way, I love Beyonce, but I have an issue with her promoting services she’ll NEVER use. That’s just as bad as her selling a perfume she’ll NEVER where because she’s allergic.

Does anyone have a background of Finance. I was discussing American Express accounts with my Financial Advisor and she mentioned that American Express is not looked upon as a credit card when applying for loans, mortgages, etc.
Is this true??? Since it doesn’t have a limit is this viewed with less status with people checking your credit?
Would my Discover hold more weight over the AmEX??

It’s not considered a credit card in the way traditional credit cards are considered to determine your ability to make payments on time, and it doesn’t really strengthen your credit history because in most cases with AMEX you must pay off the balance each month. I do believe they have introduced a new card that does allow you to carry a balance.

I like the commercial & I am happy that she surrounds herself with people who support her.
By the way, commercials have very little to do with acting -that’s why they use athletes, artist, and sometimes just regular folk. NB: Amex can afford Merril Streep.
It’s not Beyonce’s fault that she is the “negro” the man will choose to promote his product. If anything Bey should be faulted for not being more activist(on any subject) considering that she has such prominence.
I really like Beyonce. She is such an inspiration to me as a Black woman. She is successful and she has always worked hard to achieve her goals. She is really doing her best to make a name for herself and in her line of work Black people aren’t thrown chances. We have to work twice as hard to get them and she is doing just that. Beyonce keep doing your thing and continue to represent!

Can I ask a question to all of the people who said they are tired of Beyonce. WHY did you click on the link to the post or even watch the commerical? I would seriously like to know because, most normal people I know who don’t like something they don’t have to be involved with or use, stay away from it but not people who seem to dislike Beyonce and everything she does. It just seems irrational and alittle bit crazy to me so I would really like to know WHY you all continue to be among the first people to comment on all her post but are supposedly tired of her.
