Another hot topic stemming from the VMAs (hey the show sucked, but it has everyone talking) is Kanye West’s alleged tantrum after he didn’t win any awards. He sat down with New York’s HOT 97 earlier today and spoke on the whole incident. He basically says that his whole issue wasn’t that he didn’t win an award, it’s that MTV lied and used him. I really wish he wasn’t this serious about it. Yeah, he should have taken the main stage, but he was the only one to have a full performance from their suite. In fact, he had 1 and a half performances and got much more screen time than Fifty. And Kanye has to be the only one taking the actual award seriously. What credibility does it have coming from the group that brings you such categories as monster single of the year, and most earth-shattering collaboration?

I remember 50 Cent came on stage at the 2004 Grammys when Evanescene won for Best New Arstist. He thought he should have won. 50 vowed to never attend the Grammys again and he hasnt. So really Kanye and 50 are no different. Kanye shouldnt even trip about the VMA’s, they have become corny.

Kanye’s issue is that he was lied to and felt betrayed, not simply that he didn’t win an award. I don’t agree with everything he says, bue Kanye is honest, speaks from the heart, and is sincere about his music. You can’t deny him that. He works hard and takes risks, creatively and musically. Sidenote: I can’t believe Beans would call Kanye out and then ask for a beat in the next breath. I woudn’t give him shit.

I didn’t hear what Kanye said…didn’t listen…got stuff to do, shouldn’t even be on here again! lol BUT I heard today that MTV told Brit that the performance she’d worked out with the Mind Freak guy was too involved…they said there was too much going on with the magic show and made her change it at the last minute… So, what you saw in her performance, supposedly, is a routine she learned at the very last minute…It’s why she seems tentative and confused, because she hadn’t worked on it enough…
And, you would think this is something Brit’s people made up to make excuses for her horrific performance but I don’t think so… I think MTV is behind it all…I think they asked her to open the show and made her change it at the last minute to ensure that she’d mess up, to ensure a lot of “buzz” and watch…in Decemeber we’ll get an MTV sponsored Britney Spears comeback reality show/concert…And, people will watch…
