IMO- the younger man shouldnt have said nothin

when you playing or joking with older people from another generation, never get too comfortable.

old school people will flip on you

at least thats how the older people i know get down

they love crackin the whip on a young buck

    its a sport for them

im serious and all business when in the presence of my grandmother

even when she jokes, i stand on guard bc you never know when she gon flip it on you

OLE BOY PUT HIS FOOT IN HIS MOUTH, HE GOT A LITTLE TO CLOSE FOR PATTI’S COMFORT DURING THEIR DANCE AND HE THEN HAD THE NERVES AFTER SHE GRACIOUSLY TOLD HIM IN A JOKING MANNER TO BACK UP, AND SAID TO HER THAT SHE NOT ONLY WELCOMED HIS BEHAVIOR BUT WANTED IT MORE SO THAN HE DID

IT WAS DISRESPECTFUL AS SHE STATED AND PEOPLE FROM THE OLD SCHOOL DON’T PLAY LIKE THAT AND THAT’S WHY SHE WENT OFF ON HIM AS SHE DID

TRUST ME IF SHE WANTED IT SHE WOULD HAVE TOLD HIM SO-OLE HEADS HAVE A HABIT OF GIVIN IT TO YOU STRAIGHT WITH NO CHASER, SO OF COURSE SHE BECAME OFFENDED BY HIS REMARKS BECAUSE SHE TRIED TO LET HIM OFF THE HOOK, BY STATING HOW CLOSE HE HAD GOTTEN AND HE CAME BACK WITH AN OFF HANDED REMARK THAT WAS VERY UNTRUE

SERVES HIS ASS RIGHT, I BET HE’LL THINK TWICE BEFORE HE MAKES A JACKASS OUT OF HIMSELF AGAIN-BECAUSE HE INTENDED FOR HER TO BE THE BUTT OF HIS JOKE AND IT TURNED OUT THE JOKES ON HIS ASS-

HE LOOKED LIKE BOO BOO THE FOOL AFTER SHE WENT OFF-MIIND YOUR MANNERS AND SHOW YOUR ELDERS SOME RESPECT

MS.PATTI SAID NO MA’AM! YOU WON’T DISRESPECT ME! I LOVE THAT OLD DRAG QUEEN!

  5. Drama Queen! “Do you know who I am” WTF???? That was completely harmless and in good fun. I’m sure he’s not a Patti LaBelle fan anymore.

  6. I don’t think it was that serious…he was obviously joking cause she was trying to play him talking about he was trying to be all up on her. To me, she was just being a DIVA and could have toned it down a bit. “Do you know who I am?”…she act like he was grabbing her butt or something. Just another human being with some songs. Celebrities kill me…don’t look me in the eyes when I pass you…don’t talk to me…you aren’t GOD.

  7. Ok, I watched the full clip, and I’m glad that she realized that she was being extra and called the guy back up there. But notice how the I’m better than you attitude came out when she was angry. However, the Britney Spears joke was funny. lol

  8. halcyonc

When she said “do you know who I am” I don’t think she meant as a celebrity. I think she felt that as his elder he should have some respect.

  9. john

It made sense she is a classy lady he was joking but didnt realize how it sounded

  10. sassysexychick

Awww patti ripped his heart out from his lil ol country chest…lmao!!!!
I liked the way she bounced back and forgave him, he didn’t mean any harm-he is just an ol country bama!

  11. Ayoka

Everybody know you don’t play with Black women! LOL!

  12. KNOCKKEY

PATTI LABELLE IS TRUE GREATNESS. SHE IS UNDERRATED BECAUSE SHE SHOULD HOLD THE TITLE QUEEN OF SOUL. NOBODY WILL DO IT LIKE MRS LABELLE.////

  13. I think Patti was out of line, so it’s good that she apologized. He didn’t even touch her, and he wasn’t that close.

I read comments on here while I was in school, and I couldn’t view the video. OMG now that I see it, Patti wasn’t even hollering or yelling like some of y’all comments made it seem like. She got smart with him. With that said, Patti shut the f*ck up. Bitch you aint nobody and the reason why I referred to her as a bitch is because she had a bitchy attitude with that man. Why does everybody keep on saying he was a boy? WTF??? He was a grown man! He looked like some teenager’s dad and probably was, like 35 years old! And you people on here need to stop saying Patti is old and comes from a different era of respect. That’s why old folks be getting on my nerves at times. They think just because they’ve lived longer they know better and demand more respect than they give teens-20 year olds. They dying offf anyway so it’ll be differenti with old folks in 5-10 years. Anyway, it wasn’t that serious and he was joking. She was the type back in the day who was fresh singing “Lady Marmalade.”

@41….I hate to say this but I think you’re on to something. This may very well be part of her show because she did the EXACT same thing with another brother she invited onstage when she performed at the Essence Festival about 4 or 5 years ago. The audience couldn’t hear whatever it was he said, but Miss Patty went OFF. She had him booted off the stage, and proceeded to talk about how disrespectful he was for the rest of her set….awkward. Trust, I’m all about respecting ALL women, not just our elders, but if this wasn’t part of her act maybe she shouldn’t invite people on stage.

  16. baboo

Why the hell do you all feel sorry for somebody who is disrespectful to their elder like that? I mean he could be her son. If it was in Africa people would have told him to apologize to Pattie. I think she handled herself well. If you can’t respect your own who will? You go Pattie!

  17. He should not of disrespected her though she old enuff to be his grandmammy. Still don’t u just hate it when someone (who thinks there more famous then they actually are) says DO U KNOW WHO I AM? Why oh why…and what if i didn’t u gonna proceed to school me on why i should? lol

i definitely agree with the person who said that when youre in entertainment you must control your show by maintaining control of the live mic. Patti actually i feel was a bit justified for straighting him out, although i kindof feel as if he had been drinking or was a bit slow (special maybe) but when a person gets her age you should when in a venue not make comments like that to an entertainer like Patti, i just think that whom ever he attended with didnt school him as to his content rating..lol but at the same time Patti ..Girl !! .. if you put em off dont call em back ..that was a bit extra.
and i really also kinda wanna share with you guys a clip i found in response to Ms Patti’s Tyraid…

  19. Lou Pay

yea,i luv Patti, but she took it tooo serious..she could’ve played it off wit a smart remark and got on with the show

  20. me

That whole “do you know who I am” comment was a bit extra. It’s like she needs reassurance of who she is. I guess if he said it to an older person who wasn’t famous it would be okay??? Maybe she’s mad cause she’s still hustlin on the road @ 63 and not @ home collecting millions like Diana.

  21. truth

She trying be a Diva, she took it way to far.
Yo I don’t care but Patti can still get it…lol… she got some big O titi’s. Now this is talking nasty!

  22. Jewels

Oh hell, she worst than Kanye! Throwing a tantrum like that over a joke…

  23. GeT Ya FreakEm Dress On

Fame can get into anyone these days. It’s just a joke.

  24. I didn’t hear what he said -_o.

  25. Ara

Ms. Patti Labelle is the queen, he better reconize!

  26. Er body say he was joking, I’m sorry but that was not funny! Ms Patti may have went a lil extra on him but still. He woulda got a nice pimp slap from me. I don’t know where he has been.
