Okay, this song has the same beat as “Sexy Love” Boy, that NE-YO came around at just the right time, right when the MTV and BET generations merged and music became one big ambiguous #@$% wad! Some of his music is nice, but it’s funny that he gets away with selling these folks the same songs. His music, sometimes, reminds me of an instrumental…it’s like hearing an instrumental, really just the instruments, devoid of lyrics or adlibs or voices, period…

As for the video,ooooooohhh it’s so much like you know who…the bra and pencil skirt, the pearls in the mouth, the fiddling with the jewelry, the antique furnishings…wow… The only difference really is the hair color… But I don’t think Rihanna did it, I really believe NE-YO’s music runs together so much that someone heard this song and got all these automatic images, ideas for the video… And, because all his stuff is the same, these images happened to be unconscious images of Bey&*$#’s video… It seems a bit hubristic, too…I can see some peripheral handler going “hmmm this is very reminiscent of Irreplaceable, but you worked it!!!” Cause why would they let her do this? I think she was trying to change up her pace of singles with this one, but I really wish she would release Lemme Get That. I love that track and she could do a hot video for it.

Nice (but very average) song, but video is a bit lackluster (but then again, her videos usually don’t impress me too much to begin with). Rihanna looks pretty, but I agree that she’s too young to be so overtly sexual especially when you have a fully clothed Neyo (Unfortunately that’s the state of the music industry right now, which is another discussion). Yes, the song sounds very much like Neyo’s other singles (”Sexy love”,”So Sick”, and Beyonce’s “irreplaceable”) to be exact. It also doesn’t help matters that Rihanna doesn’t fare too well when it comes to ballads for the most part; which only highlights the weaknesses (lack of emotion and range) of her singing. Her recent album isn’t bad (take into consideration that for the most part it is a “POP” album) and I personally believe that she should’ve chosen another single instead.

Ne-yo recycled the music from Sexy Love, a little of the melody from So Sick and threw this song together. The director and wardrobe people recycled Irreplaceable and Riri just showed up. She’s just a product so I don’t expect much originality from her, herself, but her handlers coulda been looking out for her better than this. It’s too soon after the successes of these three song for this copycat to be put out there.

They looked like they were singing to/about eachother…when @ the end they saw eachother in the elevator, but exited and went on with their actual significant others….I really don’t see the “Irreplacable” comparison, except for the bra and pencil skirt wardrobe.
