When you marry for the wrong reasons, there’s going to be little incentive to keep you tied to a person when the shine starts to fade or when the relationship faces adversity. I don’t know what happened in their home but clearly they were great at playing roles for the public (all kissy, kissy, lovey, dovey) and that might mean they were just as good at playing the role with each other.
