I just hope that, in the near future, she gets the chance to redeem herself and do something positive after this disasterous event in her life.

I am really saddened though, buy how everything has turned out. I was around 10 up till my early teens when I experienced Marion Jones in track and field. This seemingly amazing, unstoppable talent with the sweetest most dazzling presence came and raised the bar for women’s athletics. Granted other women are doing that too, but something about Marion made her stick out from the rest. It was hard-to-define admiration you had for her.

I can’t believe I’m here, seven years later or so, I’m nearing 21 and watching these devastating images on the news. A sad sad day for athletics and sports in general.
