(UPDATED AGAIN) DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER CAUGHT USING RACIAL SLURS

Wednesday, October 31, 2007

dog1.jpg

**Adult language** SNIPPET OF SOME OF HIS RACIST COMMENTS. (via TMZ)

(UPDATE: NOV. 1) DOG ISSUED AN APOLOGY

Another “celebrity” is under fire for using the N-Word. According to audio tapes exclusively released by the National Enquirer, A&E reality star Duane “Dog” Chapman was caught on tape using racial slurs.

The Enquirer says they have two tapes of the Dog hurling insults at his son, Tucker, during an undated telephone conversation. It appears as if the Dog is concerned that Tucker’s girlfriend, Monique Shinnery, who is black, will set him up because of the language the Dog uses.

In the nearly eight minute long tape posted on the Enquirer’s website, Dog says the N word numerous times and demands that Tucker break up with Monique or he’ll be fired from the family bail bond business.

Click here to read A&E’s response.

Word is Dog already contacted Rev. Al Sharpton hoping to explain the racist telephone call. Um, why does every white person in the world think that Al Sharpton is the official spokesmen for all black people? Too many questions not enough answers.

my problem is the hypocrisy. Don Imus never pretended to be some rightous pious person that is helping people. Don Imus has been making racist comments for years and his radio show is about comedy on many levels and he didn’t say the N word.

I agree with what some other people hve said too about black folks calling other people racist words. That is not cool either. Don’t call me a N**** and I won’t call you any racist word either. I understand that people can say what they want in the privacy of their own homes, BUT if you have a public career then you should know better, dumb A**!

Most of the time when I hear black people call each other the N word is more like saying her man whats up, not in a mean and derogetory way like dog and other people use it, so that excuse is played out.

I know people dont want to hear this, but yes there are somethings I can say to a black person that if I was white I couldnt say, tough deal with it. So what if black people can say the N word and you can’t? why would you want to? Also, contrary to popular belief I have dated and have white and hispanic friends that use it the way black people do because they hang around and date nothing but blacks. I have yet to have anyone get offended and I live in Texas!!! It all depends on where you grew up with and who you hang with.

The point is no one should use it, but in the hood thats the slang and if you white and grew up in the hood they sometimes use it too, but dog used it to demean. If he dont like her fine, cuss her out. why if a black person makes you mad then they a N? Why not call white people that?

Man I’ve heard this word everywhere, and you know the actual reason its still around, because of those poser African Americans, stop saying it! I hate this white dumbshit, but i seriously think we should start blaming the source of it, the African American Teens, they think its cool to use it, thats the only reason its still used to day imo. No body should use it, regardless of race/color. The real man (African American) does not use this crap, if your a real man imo you don’t use this shit, I respect ppl for doing what they supposed to do, n being mature for their age. I mean honestly if your 20+ there is absolutely no reason for using that word, it ain’t gonna get u anywhere in the real world, I love hip hop, I love rnb, but in terms of influence I can’t say it had any major influences on myself, I don’t say N—er, I don’t cuss in every sentence I say :P, your Black Americans, why not show some intellect, we all know you kids smart, maybe if you change your attitudes jus a lil you would be looked upon differently. Oh and Im Brown not white:P, so I’m not trying to be biased or anything, just speaking the truth. CP was angry at Imus and so was I, but I think that when a Black man says that word, the situation should be the same, at least for the radio, music I can’t comment I mean they do put the rating sticker on cd (Mature), its the radio we should be targeting for putting on Mature Music, because chances are kids of all ages are listening. It’s a fact if a child starts listening to hip hop at a young age he is gonna use the words he learned, but on the other hand if your an adult and you get exposed then nothing really happens, because you know whats right.

I;m sorry, but I dont fall for this we stand together right or wrong no way. I answer to a higher power and what is right is right and what is wrong is wrong. If you see me, of course I’m black. Dark brown skin, but I was raised to be proud of all my ancestors. Slave, native american, free people of color that married some french white people (gasp!). So to me there is no us and them. When I go to my family reunion there is all shades of colored folk and a white side of the family too that shows up.

I’m not blaming the hip hop community for everything wrong with black folks. I’m just sadden that Hip hop has become entwined with black. If you black you must dress like a rap video ho, listen to rap, think oj is innocent! LOL.

I hate that there isnt more media with diversity in black opinion and views. And that crosses over to not just media, but black mentality too. I’ve heard since I was a kid, black people don’t do….fill in the blank. Read, get good grades, listen to any other music beside rap and r and b, swim, ski, nerdy, get depressed, not go to church, like science or math….I could name more. This is from black people!! why do we limit ourselves?

We could be on top of the world and be the real movers and shakers in our society if we just think outside of the box.

It’s ashamed that the majority of people commenting are being just as RACIST as Dog was. So what makes you any better? When you spew the same shit he did, you are as much a RACIST as the next person. Question for LADYLOZA, you said, “fry his white ass”. Now granted you came back and said you were joking, but my question is, would it offend you if someone referred to you in a racial slur and then came back with “only joking”? How would you respond? Just because you say “only joking” does not excuse the racial slur or make it better. Please discuss.

@Bill

I support Nas completely

I have friends that are Jewish, Polish, Latin, etc and they say things in jokes or everyday conversation that is about their race but that does not empower me to say things about them. Just like with Imus he points at the culture because he can’t control what comes out of his mouth. Be realistic he is about a million years old he’s lived threw segregation and the civil rights era he knew better and this bounty hunter knows better and the tape shows that.

Black people are so ridiculous, lol. How did this post become about Nas and the way in which he has decided to bring the “N Word” issue to the forefront? I’ve never heard Nas say that his intent was to “take power from the word”. From what I understand, he is proactively attacking black people’s fear of the word. No disrespect, but do black people really think that white people are going to stop using that word in regards to blacks? Or that Nas’s album will make or break a white person’s view of black people, lmao. I don’t understand why the coon committee doesn’t just come out and apologize to white people for slavery and offer them reparations.

In regards to “Dog the Bounty Hunter”, lol, you have to really analyze caucasians to get an understanding of them; how they think, and most importantly, why they think how they think. What does Dog the Bounty Hunter’s “education” have to do with him referring to black people as “n******”? Do you think that there are no white people with graduate degrees that are not racist, lmao? The real problem with blacks in relation to whites in my opinion is that black people refuse to acknowledge what pervades this society, and the whole world for that matter, which is race. White people not only acknowledge this reality, they create and contort their own reality to keep the other races perplexed and subservient. This is why Dog the Bounty Hunter has a black pastor, lol (who will vouch for him if I be a betting man), but calls blacks n***** like the word is going out of style. This is also why he felt the need to explain his family’s wanton usage of the word and how it differed from outright hate. “It’s more of a subtle hate”, lol. Whatever, black people will fall for it anyway so it doesn’t really matter.

There’s a difference between what caucasians show you on the surface and what really lies in their heart (Prov 26:24-28). That’s how one knows that black people using the “N Word” has nothing to do with whites using it because if that was the case, why does the man not want his son’s black girlfriend to know that they use the word freely? If it had the same allegedly “hip-hop” connotation that wiggers claim to have when they use it, he wouldn’t be scared to have her hear him say it. It’s because caucasians like to keep their racism covert in the politically correct era to keep blacks worshipful and confused and it’s sad because blacks want white peoples’ “love” so badly that they’re willing to make up excuses why it’s alright for white people to use the word because “black people use it”, lmao. House negro coonism at its finest.

Al Sharpton, like I’ve always said, is the main black person that has been designated the task of being the fire extinguisher (John 10:12). He is given orders by the white people in power behind closed doors just like Frederick Douglas, W.E.B Dubois, Martin Luther King, and that ilk to further confuse blacks and give them false hopes of equality to stop them from seeking real guidance and empowerment (Jer 8:11, Jer 14:14). Anyone who is in power and has any sense knows that it is easier to run an empire when the races under you have a pawn puppet leader that looks like them to make them think that they have power that they don’t really have. The white man understands this very well. I don’t understand why any black person would trust a black leader that white people trust. I mean; damn, black people don’t see a trend of famous, racist whites that got sloppy, running to this man for cover. For the black people that say that Dog’s career is over, I heard the same nonsense about Imus. Imus is back bigger, better, and stronger than ever with the co-signing of Al Sharpton. Dog’s damn email and mailbox have probably been flooded by tens of thousands of white people in support.

Well according to Nas we should not even be mad about this word anymore. We are supposed to be taking power from the word. ( At least that is what Nas claims to be doing by naming his album Ni**er) So I guess we won’t be mad at comments like Dog made anymore if the word has no power. Does anyone see the problem here? The word has power regardless and is offnesive no matter who uses it and in what context. I was reading the comments on the A&E sight and all the white people were saying well black people say it so why can’t we? The change has gotta start with us people. Get that word out of your vocab because everyone thinks it is ok to say. Not all black people use the word but that is what people are hearing in our music. Dog got caught and he was wrong, but this just lets me see how wrong other things are in our society today.

Bill Said:

I agree 100%

Nas thinks that By naming his next CD/Album N——, that he would be taking power from the word
but actually
He would be GIVING POWER to that word
because
Caucasians (and other races) will feel EMPOWERED to start using that word.
* They already feel empowered, but at that point they will claim that “Nas Said” it was okay to use the word….

M’y husband asked me had I heard about this incident and since I hadn’t, I decided to look it up on the internet. OMG! I was very angry at first. Then, I decided that you really don’t know what people think of you until you get them behind closed doors. What comes out of your mouth is usually what’s on your heart. I didn’t get his logic in using the word but he thinks it makes complete sense to him. I think it was stupid of him to use the word knowing how most blacks feel about it. I thought he was cool and I felt bad for him when he had theprobs in Mexico. He tries to come off as a good guy. Oh well..I hope Al can help him. Lol! He also needs to realize that Al don’t speak for all balcks but we all know this is just a feeble attempt at damage control.

This is the actual text from the ORGINAL NAS interview where he explains his reason for naming his new album/cd N _____

“Nas Explains Controversial Album Title, Denies Reports Of Label Opposition

NEW YORK — Nas says you shouldn’t believe anything you’ve heard about Def Jam putting the kibosh on his next studio album. In fact, he insists he hasn’t come across any resistance from the label.

The name of the LP has changed slightly, though. He’s going all the way there: It’s now called N——-, and it is set to hit stores December 11.

“I don’t know where that [report] came from and neither does Def Jam,” Nas said early Thursday morning (October 18) in a Manhattan recording studio when asked about a Fox News article published earlier this week. The story quoted a “source close to” label head L.A. Reid, who scoffed at the thought of the company supporting an album with such a title, and also claimed the album was not on the label’s release schedule. “None of us knows where that came from.”

(At press time, Def Jam representatives had not responded to MTV News’ requests for comment.)

The MC said he’s just two weeks from completing the LP and has done most of the work with his friend and constant collaborator, Salaam Remi. Diddy, Jermaine Dupri and DJ Toomp are also expected to get in the lab with Nas before he closes out production.

“Salaam — me and him have some real chemistry,” Nas explained. “He can go from Amy Winehouse to Spragga Benz to come f— with Nas. The other cats, some of us have somewhat of chemistry, some of us don’t. … [People] shouldn’t trip off the [album's] title; the songs are crazier than the title.”

N——- has caused some strong reaction from civil-rights activists since news of the name hit the masses. The Fox News Web sitesite quoted the Rev. Jesse Jackson and representatives from the NAACP, who admonished Nas for using the N-word as his LP’s name.

“I’m a street disciple,” Nas responded, quoting one of his earlier album titles. “I’m talking to the streets. Stay out of our business. You ain’t got no business worrying about what the word ‘n——–’ is or acting like you know what my album is about without talking to me. Whether you in the NAACP or you Jesse Jackson. I respect all of them … I just want them to know: Never fall victim to Fox. Never fall victim to the sh– they do. What they do is try to hurry up and get you on the phone and try to get you to talk about something you might not know about yet.

“If Cornel West was making an album called N——, they would know he’s got something intellectual to say,” Nas continued. “To think I’m gonna say something that’s not intellectual is calling me a n_______, and to be called a n—— by Jesse Jackson and the NAACP is counterproductive, counter-revolutionary.”

Nas said he hasn’t talked to anyone outside his camp about the title, so he was upset to see that people are up in arms without knowing the story behind him choosing the name.

“I wanna make the word easy on mutha—-as’ ears,” he explained. “You see how white boys ain’t mad at ‘cracker’ ’cause it don’t have the same [sting] as ‘n——-r’? I want ‘n——-’ to have less meaning [than] ‘cracker.’ With all the bullsh– that’s going on in the world, racism is at its peak. I wanna do the sh– that’s not being done. I wanna be the artist who ain’t out. I wanna make the music I wanna hear.

“We’re taking power [away] from the word,” he added. “No disrespect to none of them who were part of the civil-rights movement, but some of my n—as in the streets don’t know who [civil-rights activist] Medgar Evers was. I love Medgar Evers, but some of the n—as in the streets don’t know Medgar Evers, they know who Nas is. And to my older people who don’t now who Nas is and who don’t know what a street disciple is, stay outta this mutha—-in’ conversation. We’ll talk to you when we’re ready. Right now, we’re on a whole new movement. We’re taking power [away] from that word.”

Earlier this year, Nas told MTV News that he wanted to “have fun with the radio” while making his next LP. That was before he settled on the title, though. The album includes ideas and feelings he wanted to express for years that aren’t exactly meant to make you dance or sing along in the club.

“Every time I get in the studio, I feel like I wanna have some fun,” he said. “My fun is not doing the easy work. My fun is doing what’s me. [Radio-friendly songs], that’s easy work. My daughter could do that. My daughter could do the sh– that’s out. I wanna do me and hopefully some mutha—-as would like it. At this point, I’m looking at the whole world differently. I’m looking at how politics could really be effective for people today, how me as an artist could be more effective. … I listen to the radio sometime and I like the vibe of that. I go to a club, and my favorite sh– is Soulja Boy ['Crank That']. I wanna get down with them joints, but … [my records] do not come out like that.”

On November 6, Nas releases his Greatest Hits LP, and he plans to put out N—–’s first single a day or two after that. Despite the absence of a strong marketing push for the upcoming album (you can partially explain that because he’s been working on his own and under the radar), Nas isn’t stressing. He said he can’t wait for some big plans to sell the album. He just wants to get it out there.

“If you feel like doing a record,” he started to say about the freedom he has in his career right now, “you can’t wait till everybody is ready. I used to wait. Now I have that sh– in me — where it is, what it is, buy it or don’t buy it, it’s cool. Whoever likes it, cool. Whoever don’t like it, cool — but it’s gotta come out now.

“Everybody is caught up on that first-week thing,” he continued. “That was cool. In the beginning, you want n—as to know what time it is on the beginning of your sh–. I’m past that. I had humongous first weeks before, gold in the first week, that’s not important with me. When you have a record that’s out there, people are going to gravitate towards it at some point in time if they like that type of music. My albums will move units, but it ain’t based on what type of units they move. I’m thankful I sell records, but it’s not about that.

“This N—— album is bigger than an album. This is for my daughter, when she looks back and sees all the chump n—as in the game, she’ll say, ‘My pops was a man.’ When I have more kids, they’ll see, ‘He was a man.’ That will inspire them to be real in their life. Some people say I’m conscious, some say I’m a gangsta rapper — it’s just me doing me. I’m stomping in my own lane. I’m doing what I do.”

#70 Please the other websites that you mention wil post a black celeb and the most bitter angry hate filled comments will be left on the thread. I am sorry but the history of America will not easily allow caucasians or other non-black minorities to make racial statements against blacks and that they will be forgotten.

I also found it funny watching this man’s show that he will capture the criminal while spewing the most vile language then turn around and start praying; I am not perfect but I found that to be very strange behaviour. I am sick of people running to the Al sharptons and the jesse jacksons of the world for forgiveness. Just admit that is the feeling in your soul and you hate black people which is simply the inherent truth.

Kandi:

to answer your question, H*** NO!! I don’t use racist comments in my everyday speech. I have read this today on many boards and yes, there are people that were raised better than that. I did not grow up calling white people, asians, hispanics, etc nasty racial names. My mom thinks most white people are racist, but I have never heard her call anyone a racist name.

Behavior is learned at home and for a man to have a biracial son, leland, who is half Hawaiian ie non white and for dog who is native american and white, give me a break!

I could care less about Nas albumn, hip hop is not my thing.

Dog is a racist that feels that black people are N’s. N’s are ignorant, criminals, lazy, uneducated. That’s how he feels about black people because he uses tht word to describe them all the time apparently! He had to learn it growing up and his kids are learning it too. So those defending dog or saying it’s just a word, is it o.k. for his kids to go to school and if a black kid makes them mad to call the black kid a N?? Would you like it if some kid called your child a N? Or would you tell them, “oh it’s o.k. it’s just a word. Go to school and have them call you N all the time, just shake it off”. Have them shake it off and then the next time they are hanging nooses from a tree. You have to take action when you demean people by using the N word, it;s racist pure and simple. EVERYONE needs to stop using it.

Respect is earned— once we (people of color) learn to respect ourselves and show it to the entire nation in the manner in which we speak and carry ourselves then maybe others will see us with respect as well.
What gets me is the few positive views that we see in mass media. Some people are so desperate to be on tv that networks exploit that and use it to promote stereotypes. We need to stop compromising ourselves.

That’s the same blurb that the sister put up when the whole thing started. Based on what Nas said throughout the interview, it doesn’t appear to me that he said that he wants power to be taken from the word so that everyone can come together. He’s trying to dilute the sting that black people that have no real knowledge of their own history have of not only that word, but white people in general. At the end of the day, what the brother is trying to do is not meant to be understood by people that want to come together with all races. That’s why he used the term “counter-revolutionary”. If anything, I believe that the man probably used the wrong phraseology. Nas is battling different spirits. The Lord is calling him to use his voice and talents to help awaken his people but he still lusts after popular appeal. Once again though, what does that have to do with Dog the Bounty Hunter, lol? Black people can’t keep blaming themselves everytime a racial incident occurs. This is why the scriptures refer to the caucasians as vagabonds and fugitives, because they’re never held responsible or liable for their crimes.

That kind of thinking is going hurt use way worst then any song could ever. By not standing together and instead arguing about the n-word and music we show how easily we can be divided and that is indisputable. We are having shows about it Harpo’s town hall meeting (town hall bashing) BET Hip Hop vs. America. Do you see MTV having a Heavy Metal vs. America? No you don’t so why should we. You mentioned how your family comes in many colors and that to you there is no us and them. If that is the case then do not allow yourself to be bothered.

Hip Hop is so much more then just being black because of how far it reaches as much as people love Harpo I believe that Hip Hop reach so much farther in the world. I remember being in Kuwait and seeing a NWA, Public Enemy KRS-1, and other rap. albums in the store. And no women should feel that being black means that you have to dress like a video “Ho” yes if you choose you can dress like Lil Kim or Foxy Brown because that is not the only way that women in the Hip Hop generation can dress but it is up to women to show that.

Usually when people speak of black diversity in opinions and views they speak of black conservatives and that is far worse then the N-word. When I hear of people saying that blacks don’t get good grades, listen to any other music beside rap and r and b, swim, ski, nerdy, get depressed, not go to church, like science or math I think that must be something that was thought up by a racist. I and many of my friends listen rap, R&B, classical, rock, salsa, the list goes on. As far as education I remember being in school and one of the hoods telling me how important school is I even know hoods that have their associates bachelors and even some with MASTORS and have never been to jail. I know “hoods” that play chess with the most complicated strategies. It was a black person that loves gangsta rap that taught me about new math. So I do not know where that “black people don’t do such and such came from but it is stupid. I even heard a black republican say that he became republican because when he went to college he saw that the white kids had been to Europe and he did not want to go back to his old life style. That is a stupid statement for a “educated” person to make.

Maybe we could be mover and shakers if we stopped the in fighting. It’s like a civil war.

He didn’t come up with that brother, lol. They’ve used that strategem from when they first came to power as the Greeks and Romans and when they re-emerged to pre-eminence in their Renaissance (rebirth). It’s their nature and their gift to attain and sustain power by causing confusion. That’s how you know that they get their power from Satan because they rule through lies and deceit. Imus just happened to know that deflecting the onus onto the black man is always the easiest way out because everyone hates the black man. Then that demon, Oprah, jumped on the opportunity to dedicate another of her shows to castigating the black man for not worshipping the black woman. Before you know it; Imus has an elongated vacation and comes back with more leverage, fanfare, and power. He should write his own “Art of War” book, lol.

@ what Bill posted in 133:

“Pastor Story said, “What shocked me was that he used the N word. I know he’s not a racist. He’s been to black churches with me to help inner-city kids.”

^^^^ How can he still say HE KNOWS Dog isn’t a racist! YOU KNOW NOW DON’T YA?! He thought he knew him guess his bubble is burst now. He’s been to black churches to help the poor black kids whoopdeedoo…..he’s still racist.

I think his words are being taken out of context. He just wasn’t expressing what he was trying to say correctly. Being a black woman myself, I think he was addressing the issue that since his family uses certain words around each other he doesn’t want anyone around who would be offended by them. If his son is dating someone who may be offended then it’s best they aren’t around him and the family because he doesn’t want their words being misconstrued. Now, I’m not saying it’s right, but I see his point. A simple slip up can cost him everything. He wanted to protect his career. But by saying that to the son, who may love the girl, it may have caused hurt feelings. The son may have took it like, “it’s either her or your family.”

Well…not siding here, but this guys does have a point. Americans are ultra-sensative, rightfully, and he’s simply stating his case, which I do appreciate. He’s straight-up and to the point. As for his style, no comments, but surely fitting someone calling himself “Dog The Bounty Hunter.” There is true concern in his voice, of which I wholeheartedly feel are of a concerned parent. No, as an American, I am not shock. Yes, as a Black American, I am shocked, but my shock is not in the language used but rather how much attention this has gotten. Let’s move on and realize that you can’t be friends with everyone in the neighborhood, white, black, yellow, or brown nor do they want to be friends with you.

Peace,

JUDAH @ 157
I get your post on so many levels. Furthermore, why the back pedaling: Racist are hear to stay: He should just own it instead of this pacification he is doing to coo the black people. And oh here we go again. I wonder how long it will take for Al S. to show up at the crosswalk and the old grey haired English lady gives him the go ahead. We are just waiting on the other side of the street acting like we can’t cross the street all by ourselves. Why do we do this as black people? We get upset when they come out and say it, ask for an apology, demand they loose their jobs, and then we go on our merry way, all the while men like Al sticks the pacifier in our mouths, and we just think all is good in the world. LMAO! All the while the white man gets what they want in the end. They know what they are doing by even saying these words. It is simply acceptable among themselves. You don’t see them outraged about IMUS and now BOUNTY. He said what a lot of them want to say.
The apology is just to buy time. LMAO.

i am so damn sick of white people saying,”but they say it so we can too”. get the hell out of here with that lame a** crap!!! white people have ALWAYS had that word in their vocabulary, we just gave them an excuse to use it more publicly by referring ourselves to that word. it is just so funny how they try to make it seem like if blacks didnt use it,they wouldnt either. what a joke.

So Black people are not allowed to be offended because SOME other Black people use the word???? WTF???? It’s OUR fault because some rappers use it? What is up with you guys?? The point is this man is being disrespectful and ignorant, PLEASE stop trying to turn this around and blame it on us!

I listened to what the man said to his family member. Yes it was wrong, but honestly… it is no differant than what goes on behind the closed doors of any other race. I hear the “N” word everyday by the same people who condem others for using it. I aint the “cracker, redneck, gook, slanteye, zipperhead, wetback, beaner, mutt, pollok, halfbreed, whitey” or any other “COLORFUL”name you could think of to your face in public, but behind closed doors while your talking to your sister, daughter, mother, son, brother, father or whoever it is wanting to interweave our races, I will bet my life!, someone in your family is refering to me in such a manner. If only everyone was recorded and heard, OH wait, we are. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. I have read some of these comments and notice all the stones being thrown, shame on all of us for being such hypocrites.

Exactly.

99.99% of black americans FAIL to recognize this. And then they turn around and wonder why they are where they are. I have been around the block a few times and I can comfortably assert that a mojority of white people on this planet are worthless, soul-less, jealous, insecure, and greedy robots devoid of moral character. I’ve never seen so much ignorance on one page. It goes from one end of the spectrum to the other. I’m what you’d call a strict constructionist when it comes to our rights and freedoms in the constitution. We may not like what some people have to say, but be careful what you wish for. You can’t infringe upon someones rights (no matter how wrong or offensive they are) without opening the door to infringe upon other rights. I’m more upset that Al Sharpton or anyone for that matter would be considered the voice for any particular group of people. That’s worse than what is said on anyone’s private phone conversation. Let’s all be good to eachother. It starts with us.

Copa1974A:

Wait a mintue, comparing me to a republican! hahah! that’s not even close! Democrat? that’s a bit closer, but I consider myself very anti-government and I promise if I fly I’m probably on some list! LOL. I believe our system is corrupt and they pit the races against each other. Divide and conquer. If all the oppressed and poor people would rise up things would be different. But people dont see that, they still figh each other over crumbs the massas hand out to you.

I don’t know about your experience, but when I was in school in the hood of Detroit, I’m 31, so it’s not like i’m a hundred years old, I had my black friends that said if you speak proper and like to read your acting white. I have had black friends say I wasn’t black enough! So for a while I pretended to be something I wasn’t be to accepted by black people. My niece and nephews hear it less these days but everyonce in a while my nephew catches hell about being a skateboarder from some of the black kids, which is a shame. I’ve never been a “typical” black person and that scares and shock whites and blacks. If your black you are expected to do or act a certain way, if your white you can have many different tastes and not get criticized. For those who disagree your lying. Even I have said it before.

White people meet me and think they already know who I am because of what they watch on TV and black folks they assume many things. I guess you would say I’m hard to pin down. I don’t hate white people, sorry, I have to work and live around them/with them so whats the point? I think most white people are racist! Especially then older ones. I listen to a little rap, mostly old school. Hate the N word, .Live in the suburbs, but guess what? I use to be in a gang when I was a teenager, Treetop Blood. Tatoos and all. Don’t go to church, sorry mom!

I’m not saying that because you are from the hood your ignorant, no way. And once again I’m not saying Hip Hop is the root of all evil, just stale, boring, sexist, and uncreative. All rap videos has the video chicks in it and most of the songs I hear are about booty, money, cars, what kind of house he has…blah blah. Kanye West is great, but man do I miss the days of gansta rap, political rap, comical rap, etc. I know there are rappers out there who are great, but that’s not what i hear on the radio or see on tv.

To me the entertainment industry has become a minstrel show. Mostly white people buy the CD’s or jersey’s for sports athletes. There is way to much emphasis on blowing up big and become an athlete, singer, actor etc…Not enough on politics, science, math, business, government. Even if you are going to be in the entertainment industry we should be directors, producers, head of studios, writers.

sorry for the double post, but people say it’s just a word. Well hell, first they use the word then next you we see a noose hanging from a tree. it’s not about political correctness it’s about survival. Who would have thought in 2007, the Jena 6 thing would have happened?? but stuff like that happens in the south all the time. I live in Texas, but i’m yankee and people let stuff slide down here saying that’s just the way it is, heck no! Racism will never die and it’s our job as Americans to call it out. Not to be niave, but we have to live in this world and we do have it good here in America It could be worse, there is bigotry all over this world not just here. Peopl kill over religion, tribe, nation, race…etc. Not just white people against black. I think American have such a narrow view of most things compared to other countries. Try travelling a little.

Dog got caught and I don’t care if he runs to Jesus, I’m not gonna forgive him. As for Al Sharpton, he’s not my leader and the only reason he is in that positon is because of the media and the fact that no other black person has stepped up.

216.

JUDAH

Friday, November 2, 2007 /

I wish that the same black people that are so forgiving and want us all to “come together” were as gracious to their own kind. These are the same negroes that give you dagger eyes in the corporate offices but smile like the Joker and bow their heads when they see a caucasian. I see it everyday, lol. This is what makes me laugh; the TRUE hypocrisy of these black people. They have the nerve to say that hypocrisy is being “racist” to whites when you want “equality”. No. YOU want this imaginary carrot that they dangle called “equality”, lol. The real reason why black people cannot make any real headway in this land is because they want to be given things that they will have to take. An oppressed race of people is not given respect, they must take it. Period. Dog the Bounty Hunter will see 10 oportunities opened for him for every 1 that has closed. Guranteed.

I want to comment on Ali’s comment saying that “the people responsible for the n word still being used are the African American Teens who still think its cool”, thats totally false. First off, if you are a youth from any “inner city neighborhood” (as they like to say on tv. the people who live here call it the hood) 9 times outta 10 you either say nigga atleast 10 times a day or you hear the word nigga 20 times. Its literally (and sadly) a part of our everyday vocabulary. When im talking to my friends I dont sit there and ponder, should i say whats up my nigga?, or whats up dog?, its gonna be which ever one comes out, and its most likley gonna be nigga. So its not because we think its cool, its just apart of our culture now, thanks to white america. And with rap being out there, yall wanna say nigga too. smh

Judah:

I agree, we have to take it. Not bicker over the details, but if you want respect you have to give it too. I could care less about people either way. I say if you want something, anything take it. You should be agressive. No one has every given me anything, I worked hard for everything I have. I don’t care if your black, white or whatever if you do not respect me or in my way c-ya. I won’t kiss anyones butt or compromised who I am for anyone. Hatin white people gets you nowhere. Believe it or not there are good white folks out there and bad black folks. People are people.

If you want equality you cannot get it from the table of another, I believe you have to create it. But i’m sorry to say black folks these days do not want to work for it. I don’t really want equality just for you to get the hell out of my way! And I hate those that act like black people/community is perfect. We have issues, serious issues that no one wants to talk about or they just dump on anyone that brings it up like Bill Cosby, he told the truth. We have to hold the standard.

For example I live in Highland park in dallas and on MLK b-day the white kids dressed in black face and wigs and drank forties and wore the stuff to school. During Cinco De mayo they dressed like lawn workers. Look it up online!! These kids have been reinforced these sterotypes by watching that crazy Sh** on TV and from their parents! These kids are the future CEO”S and stuff, sad, but they don’t hang around any black people so what they see in the video’s is how they think black people really are. Hip hop is global, so is this what we want to show the world??

My question to Dog Chapman’s detractors is; how many of you people who are condemning him for his ill-thought words, have uttered the very same ones in private? In a private conversation with a family member, as HE thought he was doing! Imagine if YOU had been ILLEGALLY taped without your knowledge?

And the full length version of that damning tape also has Dog talking about how his son Tucker’s girlfriend threatened to attack his wife Beth, and also about her wearing a recorder to try to get something to sell to that rag, the Enquirer!

And instead, it was Tucker who taped and sold his own father out to the tabloid rag! That shows that Dog was right all along, and she is a no good scumbag! Too bad he didn’t know the same about his punk-ass son!

I say screw the Enquirer, screw scumbag Tucker and his douchebag bitch Monique, and let’s support Duane “Dog” Chapman!

Countless acts of heroism, good deeds and charity should not be all erased by one incident. Especially when it all centers around 2 slimey scumbags who are involved in a conspiracy to get you on tape in order to make a fast buck and get some quick revenge!!

You done lost your mind! first of all I dont use that kind of language sorry, if you do then your trying to cover for your own guilt. And it’s his son, how does his son feel about his dad calling his gf a N!! Why would you disrespect your son and his gf like that?? He knew they were trying to get him caught so why keep using the word, duh!

And do you know that tucker is a low life? how about dog? he;s been in out of jail too. So unless you know tucker or his girlfiend then you cannt speak on that.

Countless acts of good deeds? O.k. he is a bounty hunter getting paid to catch criminals! that is his job. He has done stuff for charity and groups, but so has other bigots in this country. you cant know what is the motivation for this. Maybe to make his bounty hunting easier if people think he’s a good guy down inside? Or there are people that do charitable things because they pity us po’ ole mongrel black folk and see us as dogs.

I jsut dont want someone preaching about jesus and god and smiling in my face then calling me a N at home. If you use those words at home then why not say it in public if you feel that way? don’t pretend to like black folks then go home and call us N’s. Dont hang with me and call me a N. Be real.

Also, some of you are missing the point. I love the people that say :”I have black friends” or whatever but if your kid dating one then it would be a problem. No one is talking about what dog said that: IF HIS DAUGHTER BROUGHT A N***** HOME THEY WOULD TELL HER NO WAY. IT’S NOT JUST THE WORD, DOG HAS A PROBLEM WITH BLACK PEOPLE, JUST ADMITT IT!! HE DOESN’T WANT HIS KIDS TO DATE A BLACK PERSON. WHY ARE YOU GUYS FORGETTING THAT?? IF A BLACK ENTERTAINER DIDNT WANT HIS KID DATING A WHITE PERSON YOU PEOPLE WOULD BE ALL OVER IT!! WHY DOESN’T THAT EVER HAPPEN?? BECAUSE VARIOUS WHITE PEOPLE ARE MORE RACIST THAN EVEN THE MOST HATEFUL RACIST BLACK PERSON.

and i’m not upset about what dog said, so what another racist. It’s upsetting because people are excusing his behavior.

Umm…why is his son and girlfriend being called “trash and stupid”?

Is it because they revealed what this guy really is about?

If that’s the case then I applaud them for it. Its a good thing that those racist views hasn’t tainted his son and at least his son is man enough to expose his father instead of dumping his girl like some other weak man might do under family pressure.
