Again i am going to say taht Tameka does not look like a man to me – she looks like the average black woman i see everyday – and i see hundreds daily. Perhaps people are thinking that she should be heavier because of her age.

If she is jet-setting with Usher everywhere, has she not re-prioritized her children to “after I take care of my new man”? Or maybe they do what a lot of other celebrities do and protect the children from the photographers.. As much as the likes of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman and Jamie Foxx and the Beckhama are photographed not to mention Will and Jada Smith, how often do you see their children. Of course its not feasible that EVERY time they are photographed its during weekdays or during school time, but I just wanted to bring a different perspective. Its only really Brad and Angelina that you see with their children ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL the time.
And also as I said in a different post… lots of male celebrities’ marriages break down and their ex wives are the primary care givers of the children.. they find a new wife or girlfriend and they have children with her… these male celebrities never ever get the amount of stick for that they Tameka gets… and there is nothing wrong with men being the ones to raise children after all they are parents equally, it doesn’t always necessarily have to be the mother.. We shouldn’t see him as hard done by its none of our business and if it works for them it works for the. Tiny is always with TI but I dont’ hear anybody asking all the time where their child is.

As an addendum, I think that Tameka is actually a pretty woman. That is not by a stretch of the imagination. It is time for the Black community to value for what many other ethnicities envy us …diversity of beauty. We have become so Eurocentric in our beliefs about what a black woman should like that we have begun celebrating that which is not necessarily attributable to being black, such as long blond hair and other things. Personally, as much as admire the hustle of many of today’s artists, they have socially and mentally set us (and the young girls of our generation who believe that you have to look a certain way to succeed) back with their promotion of “too be beautiful, you must look as European as possible… I miss the celebration of the Erykah Badu’s, the Lauryn Hills, and the India Aries. Though Tameka does have a weave, she is still a beautiful black woman and I give kudos to Usher for deciding to choose woman who looks like our mothers, sisters, and aunts and not some pseudo-hybrid who really would just be arm candy…
I still wanna know where are her children???

I don’t get all the hatred people direct at Tameka at all. As long as her and Usher are happy, then good for them.
I have no problem with the choices that other people make regarding their personal lives (or professional lives); but she does seem needy and insecure. To come between someone and their mother; that is crazy!!! Now he can’t work because she needs all of his attention; CRAZIER!!! I am glad that he picked “A REAL EVERYDAY LOOKING WOMAN” but it doesn’t seem like she has her stuff together and I pray that it doesn’t hurt him in the long run; while he is destoying ALL of his other relationships (that were before her).

I think people are against them as a couple because she is older than him, has a previous marriage that she abandoned, and 3 kids. From the outside looking in, its like why, of all women in the world that you have access to, would you choose this woman with so much baggage? When he was with Chilli it was different, even though she was older and had a child from a previous relationship, they seemed to be a better fit. Again we are on the outside looking in. They don’t match to me either, but to each is own. I don’t find her to be the most attractive female in the world (and behind closed doors, I’m sure she lay into that a** when he act up), but it’s not my call. Another reason that I think people are against her is because it seems that his mother doesn’t agree with the union. When momma got issues with it, that’s cause for eyebrows to raise. I don’t wish them any ill will, but I don’t see this lasting long and she’ll get some chips out of the deal. Maybe I’m wrong.
You make a good point, however, every celebrity couple that you have mentioned has been photographed with thier children on more than one occasion. Now this could be because thier celebrity is older, so maybe I should give Tameka a little longer before I immediately rush to judgement. And yes, truthfully, it is none of our business what decisions are being made by this woman, yet she has subjected her life to public consumption by the mere associaition with a celebrity. Listen, my real point is not how many pics her kids are in, but at the end of the night, is she pecking each and every one of them on the forehead and telling them to sleep well. Or is she there when they are getting ready for school in the morning and making sure that their day is starting well…that’s assuming that she did these things before. Maybe she was an absent parent long before Usher became her mate, dunno…but it just makes you wonder what mother leaves her children behind to start a new life that seemingly…I said SEEMINGLY…does not include them.
I know, I know, men do it all of the time…but men are not mothers and mothers are called to an entirely different duty to their children…that’s another conversation

You got me wrong my point is the main bone of contention with these two as a couple is that people think she is not good eneough for him. True, people have their opinion hence I am giving mine, but the reason it gets me is like it or not its about skin tone and more or less age and a bit of gossip. That s**t really pisses me off. I mean they do have a father who probably wants to spend time with them as well. I bet if the roles were reversed and it was Usher who was never spotted with his kids no one would say anything because he’s a man. It seems like women in the spotlight are expected to be photographed with their children everyday alllll day. And yes mama ain’t feeling the union, which brings another flag of concern. Not trying to say this don’t happen everywhere, but it’s getting nasty and public now. There’s something about Tameka that don’t sit well with a lot of ppl, true they don’t have to call her names and all, but her persona is off a little.

Have you noticed that Kanye’s fiancee Alexis has never been photgraphed with HER son (from her previous marriage) while jet-setting with her beau. Yet no one complains of this. Who’s looking after HER child? When does she spend quality time with HER son? Because she makes it to every event & every country with that man, but never have I seen her son in tow.
