Yolanda ‘Lala’ Brown, 21, best known for singing with Lyfe Jennings on the song, “S.E.X” was found murdered alongside her boyfriend in Milwalkee on Friday. I got a lot of emails about this yesterday but finally found a valid link.
A familiar voice to Milwaukee R & B fans has been silenced. Twenty-one year old Yolanda “La La” Brown and her producer, 22-year-old JeTannue Clayborn, were found dead in their recording studio Friday night.
Milwaukee police say both were found in the Loud Enuff Productionz studio at 55th and Lisbon. Both had gunshot wounds and had been dead at least a day before being discovered. They were reportedly dating.
JeTannue’s mother, Dina Chambers, describes him as energetic, with an eye toward making music his career. “He loved music. He loved people. He was very kind. They called him “Koo Laid” because every time you saw him, he was smiling.” [SOURCE]

This is La La’s uncle. On behalf of the family we thank you for your support. Although we are sad that she is not with us we will celebrate her life. She has touched the world with her God given talent.

That is so sad…She was so young and yet had so much to look foward too. As a mother, I feel for that child that will have to grow up without her momma. I went on her myspace and she seemed very excited about where her career was going. And now, she will never know for her life was ended short.

That shit pissed me off! What a senseless act of violence. I hope they find the person who done this anfd give them life without parole. If they was going to rob them then they shouldve just rob them and left them be, but to actually kill them? WTF!!!! I bet you they probably knew who it was. This is very sad! My condolonces go out to both families. It really hits close to home for me because she was the same age I am. This is so unfortunate and sad why would the person do this to them? I want to know what happened and why it happened and I hope the families get justice for who did this to Lala and JeTannue because this is just sad. Her career was just starting to blossom but at least she left a positive song behind that leaves a good message for our young girls now. Much respect and love to both families in this tragedy and my prayers will be with you. Oh and to all the people who lost loved ones in the struggle keep your heads up and just know that they are with you and in a better place. Respect and Love. One.

I hate reading about murders, It sickens me how people can just go and kill someone without any remorse or care. As if humans are disposible(sp) or something. She was very talented, a couple years ago when Lyfe Jennings and Lala Brown came out with the song I love her verse. She was a gifted singer who had to be taken away by a heartless punk who felt as though they had to pick up a gun and take someone elses life.
