Yolanda ‘Lala’ Brown, 21, best known for singing with Lyfe Jennings on the song, “S.E.X” was found murdered alongside her boyfriend in Milwalkee on Friday. I got a lot of emails about this yesterday but finally found a valid link.
A familiar voice to Milwaukee R & B fans has been silenced. Twenty-one year old Yolanda “La La” Brown and her producer, 22-year-old JeTannue Clayborn, were found dead in their recording studio Friday night.
Milwaukee police say both were found in the Loud Enuff Productionz studio at 55th and Lisbon. Both had gunshot wounds and had been dead at least a day before being discovered. They were reportedly dating.
JeTannue’s mother, Dina Chambers, describes him as energetic, with an eye toward making music his career. “He loved music. He loved people. He was very kind. They called him “Koo Laid” because every time you saw him, he was smiling.” [SOURCE]

This is very sad news. I agree with 1 of the previous comments that people are dropping like flies. This is so senseless. If they had to rob them why could’nt they let them live. People are so cruel these days. They only live for the moment and forget about the consequences of thier actions.

This is heartbreaking. Her family is not okay and will not be for a long time. not only was she their loved one, but she was going places and you know how it is when you have that family member that has the world at their fingertips…you just have so much pride and hope for them. The bigger the dream, the harder it is to let go, and this girl was on her way, so you know her family is in turmoil. Not for what they won’t be getting, but because this girl was blessed by God and will never see her potential. Just sadness all around. Same way with this young man who died with her. RIP

This is downright ridiculous. It hurts my heart to read/hear something like this. My prayers go out to both families and I pray that any and all individuals involved in these crime are arrested, charged and punished to the fullest extent of the law. This is why we need to get these guns off the streets and show our young people that using guns as a means to gain power and respect is nothing more than a false ideal. I’m so sick and tired of these senseless acts of violence due to someone thinking that the only way he/she can resolve an issue is by using a gun to threaten, injure or kill someone. Sure, it will help if some celebrities wouldn’t glorify the “gangsta” image, but what would be more helpful is communities, organizations and churches coming together and reaching out, educating, motivating and instilling values of respect and esteem for onesself and others. I guarantee the piece of shit that did this was a minority. When will this stop, seriously! my goodness, how can you kill a human, much less two beautiful individuals.
