Yolanda ‘Lala’ Brown, 21, best known for singing with Lyfe Jennings on the song, “S.E.X” was found murdered alongside her boyfriend in Milwalkee on Friday. I got a lot of emails about this yesterday but finally found a valid link.
A familiar voice to Milwaukee R & B fans has been silenced. Twenty-one year old Yolanda “La La” Brown and her producer, 22-year-old JeTannue Clayborn, were found dead in their recording studio Friday night.
Milwaukee police say both were found in the Loud Enuff Productionz studio at 55th and Lisbon. Both had gunshot wounds and had been dead at least a day before being discovered. They were reportedly dating.
JeTannue’s mother, Dina Chambers, describes him as energetic, with an eye toward making music his career. “He loved music. He loved people. He was very kind. They called him “Koo Laid” because every time you saw him, he was smiling.” [SOURCE]

I live in Milwaukee and i never heard about that studio. It is alot of money hungry -grimmey people out here so it isn’t hard to believe. Somebody had to know their whereabouts and thought they had $$$. I just can’t belive an up- coming artist died in lil ol MILWAUKEE. I will be at her rememberances to learn more about her and show my respects.

Jetaunne was a friend and co-worker of mine. Although I never met Lala, I know she was a good person and excellent singer. He spoke very fondly of her. It’s so sad when something like this happens, especially to such great people with such big hearts. I know their both in a better and more peaceful place right now. I was a friend of La La… she was a sweet person, always had a smile on her face, and I have never heard an angry word out of her. She was as beautiful inside as she was outside. Her voice was one that always cheered me up if i was in a sour mood, ’cause she always got me to singing right with her. She will deeply missed…my prayers are with her daughter, her family, friends, and anyone who has been blessed enough to make her acquaintance. I love u, La La!!!

Wow, this is crazy! R.I.P La La and Kool aid! I pray that God will be with your families through this trying time. I pray that he wraps his loving arms around them and keeps them uplifted when they are down. God give them strength! Keep them in their right mines. Lord help them not to give up on you. I pray a blood coverance over their familes, so God can keep all harm, unseen harm, danger, unseen danger, and evil away from them. This is a sad tragedy that happen. I just went through the killing of my best friend that was only 15 years old. He was hit by a truck because of a racist boy that didnt like blacks. Killing is not smething to be proud of and it hurts others that loved them. Hope that we can quit the voilence and begin to come as one and STOP THE VIOLENCE.
