Well personally I think Monica can sing. She is one of the few artists who will always be remembered for making such a huge impact on the industry. Right along with Beyonce, Alicia, Brandy, Usher, etc. Say what u want about these ppl but they changed the game. They even got no talent wannabe’s like Riyawna and Assie trying to get to their levels. Basically I like artists w/ actual talent and not one hit wonders or artists who can’t even go platinum.

I have to address some of those typical hatas though. First, monica is very content in her status being what it is. Mind you, she never wanted to be a singer, wanting to live a normal life just like us. So why should she compromise her livelyhood for america. So when you say she’s washed out, boring , and what ever else. I congradulate her on maintaining a job that’s been blossoming, and she never really wanted it.
