I about the Jay-Z comment this recording he did has nothing to do with this movie, the movie of Frank Lucas the role whom Denzel is playing is about a man who is today a stnd-up guy who paid his debt to society. I was at the premiere, Denzel gave an Oscar winning performance.
I hope TI’s mess does not hurt the film, she when you make wrong choices it affects others, so those of you who say you love TI then support the movie. Denzel and the others should not suffer because of this unfortunate mess.
The movie is great I sincerely hope you all tear the movie theatre up on Nov2nd.

I had a chance to see the film two weeks ago at a private screening and it was AMAZINGGGG! I’m definitely going to see it again on November 2nd and so should you.

I’m so proud of DW and wife. Note to Usher: This is how u choose a wife. No one cares that Pauletta is Dark skined or not the runway model type. We love her reguardless. For the following reasons:

1. She’s not an ex-con

2. She don’t have 3 other children (not of which lives with her) or ex-husbands

3.She respects and gets along with his family (no drama)

4.She’s not on the cover of Escence every other month defending her mirrage.

5.She don’t tag along him everywhere he goes. Like a stalker. She’s humble.

This movie is banned in my book. I’m not one of those people who believe that only “positive” images of blacks should be seen in the media, but to me, American Gangster was just made to legitimize the obsession black men have with being a low-rent thug like Tony Montana. Now we’ve got a black face doing this BS and now black people will cheer this Lucas guy on and idolize his actions even more so than they do Tony Montana because Frank Lucas is black.

Don’t we have other types of plots we could be making movies about? Where are the black sci-fi movies? Black political thrillers? Black spy movies? Anything besides rom-coms, family reunions, and gangsta movies.

i cannot wait until this movie comes out,i am there day one,i guess this is the year for black movies,there used to be a shortage of all black casted movies,there was “daddys little girls” “pursuit of happyness”,”stomp the yard”,”why did i get married”,”i think i love my wife”,”this christmas” (chris brown joint) and that other holiday movie comin out with kat williams,thats a good look for our people.

I am not going see this movie when it first comes out. That will be same week taht is is supposed to be “Black Out” weekend. Black people are not going to spend any money and see how black spending affect the econoy. Sorry Denzel not this time.
Although DW is my favorite, he is portraying a role that is detrimental to young black males. They already beeing caught in trying to be gangsters form the hip-hop craze, now this movie. We need some positive role models for our young black males. It is time for us to take a stand and steer our young males in the positive direction.

Denzel has enough of my money and T.I took his acting role as reality. Why would he want to have all those weapons, for display? Something is definitely wrong with our society.

I think a white women suppost to play Denzel’s wife in AG, so no thank-you on that one, but the main thing is that he has an attractive black wife in real-life. Unlike a couple of others that’s at the premiere.

Ruby Dee is the prime example of the African American Woman. He son in the back was dude from Beat Street, the Deejay, man he got old…..Denzel looks sweaty as hell and his wife looks like she through dealing. I miss T.I. already and he’s only been in jail for about 2 weeks.

This is a must see movie for me, primarily bcuz Denzel is in it so I know it will be worth while.
