We have another holiday movie in store for us this year with the film The Perfect holiday featuring an all-star cast including Queen Latifah, Terrence Howard, Gabrielle Union, and Morris Chestnut.
“The Perfect Holiday” tells the story of Nancy (Union), a single mother of three who falls for Benjamin (Chestnut), a talented but struggling songwriter who is working part-time at the mall being Santa Claus. Trouble comes when her children plot bring down their Mom’s new boyfriend in the hopes that she will return to their father – rapper J-Jizzy (played by Charles Murphy )
Directed by Lance Rivera (“The Cookout”), the film also starring Katt Williams and Jill Marie Jones will hit theaters December 12th. See the trailer above along with the poster and movie stills after the cut…

Oh yeah can’t forget bout Charlie Murphy!!!
Didn’t Faizon Love play the exact same character in Elf?
Looks like it’s going to be a good movie. Can’t wait.
I hope Jill gets alot more roles after this cuz I don’t want her to regret leaving Girlfriends.
I’m a do what MEN do when they make it big, trade old girl in for a upgrade.
@50 what upgrade are you talking about?
@59 Even though I don’t have so much enthusiasm to go see Perfect Holiday, but I rather see that or any other typecast black movie than these freakish, demonic, white triller movies that’s out during the year. Why did I get married was #1 because it was a good movie with great casting and it had substance and meaning unlike other movies that’s out there. I hope you’re not insinuating that blacks should the type of movies that white people make.
#2 is right on point. Same thing I was thinking. It looks like “Are We There Yet”. And Gab and Chestnut have been in about 5 movies together and always the love interest. WOW. Not really feeling the movie. I’d rather go and see “This Christmas” with Regina King, Chris Brown, and Lauren London.
This isnt something that ill run out to see lol. I wont be counting down the days until the premiere like I did with Why did I get married or how i am doing with this holiday lol. BUT its always good to see black movies being made, but Im not too interested in this one
*meant This christmas
I agree with you #13 FancyFace, we do need a grown up movie lol..Im talkin bout some LOVE JONES type of movie! I mean im all down for the family gigs but damn we do have some young adults and adults that DONT HAVE NO DAMN KIDS and want sumthin to reflect their lives lol IM JUST SAYIN
I was just wonderin where the hell was Rachel True
@ 50
An upgrade from tired ass hood niccas to a man just as perfect as Hill Harper, the brother is sharp.
My bad that was for Tina.
You took the words right out of my mouth Aries…cause I DON’T HAVE ANY DAMN CHILDREN! How are people going to the movies to see cartoons? There are still some real grown folk around ya know.
Although I love Gabrielle Union and Queen Latifah, based on the preview I think I’ll wait to see this film when it’s released on DVD. I think I’d rather see “This Christmas” with Chris Breezy, Regina King and Loretta Devine.
You just KNOW this is going to be a LIMITED RELEASE. I remember Lance “Un” Rivera stating that “THe Cookout” was going to be a black classic, like “Soul Food” was…YEAH RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT! Gabrielle Union is way too good to do a project like this…rent must be due.
@70 Starrynight, I feel you on that I’ll do the same thing too, but what I was really asking you was what kind of an upgrade do the men trade thier old girl for?
