U.K. Artist Craig David is back on the scene with his upcoming fourth album Trust Me (out November 12th). I’m sure you guys remember his debut album, Born To Do It, because it spawned many of the hits people remember him for today. Including “Fill Me In”, “Walking Away”, & “Rendezvous”. I still bump that album.

The race issue comes into everything now. Craig David has stated his opinions on people talking about the choice of girls he has for his videos / who he is seen with outside of his music career, and he basically said, as long as she’s beautiful, what does it matter?
I also remember him saying, having a girl who wasn’t or appeared to be black in his videos, was more of an issue when he went to the States.

I saw him in an interview once where he was asked to explain the meaning behind the song “What’s Your Flava”. He went on to say that he is describing his love for variety of different types of beautiful women. However he did say that his preference is definitely Vanilla.

The reason I think #50 said that the US can have Craig is because a few years ago, he stated in an interview that he was in love with the US and had a love affair with us as a country. I could be wrong, but that is what I took from it because of the interview.
As far as the song goes…..like David Alan Grier and Damon Wayans’ movie critic characters on “In Living Color”used to say…..HATED IT! (with two snaps and a twist). It breaks me to say that too because I am a HUGE Craig David fan and I drive people absolutely CRAZY playing his CDs all the time, but if this single is any indication of the direction his new CD will sound, then I think that I will just have to wait until it’s released here in the States to buy it and not spend over 30 bucks for it like I did on his last CD (which, in my opinion, was SO worth it). As far as his looks go, I am so LOVING it! I’m glad that he grew a little bit of fuzz back on his head because him as a baldy wasn’t cutting it and it also look like he dropped a few pounds because back in February when he was on vacation, he was looking kinda 50 Cent-ish (scary as hell) with the big steroid-fed muscles. I’m glad that he toned it down a notch and I am loving his new look, but in some of his pictures, he does look alot older than his age.
Oh…..and as far as Craig dating White girls, I really don’t care about what race they are. If he likes the chick, then it’s whatever with me. I just hope that he tames that “7 Days” theory that he seems to have…..meet them on Monday, sex them Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and then dump them on Sunday.
