After a long hiatus, the ‘Southern Hummingbird’ is making comeback! Word is she is working hard on the new release, ‘Love, Tweet’ which is set to hit stores sometime next year.
Above is the link to her new song, “My Dear” feat. T.I. Some of you may remember hearing that song a couple months back with Ciara on the track, but Tweet brought some new energy to the track, so I’m feeling it now.

I actually think I liked Ciara’s version better… maybe cuz I actually listened to it a few good times. But I’m glad she’s coming back. That “I’m Done” on Its Me Again got me through some rough times. whew!

I like Tweet, she has such a soulful tone to her vocals. That track isn’t really that good, she should have left it to the teenyboppers. Her voice is too good to be singing on that trash.

i think ciara’s version which wasn’t even mastered was much much better. lyrics and all. either way ciara will still get paid cause she created the melody.
She may have a better voice than Ciara, But Ciara’s version is 10 times better and she is a better entertainer overall …. Tweet sucks

I really agree with you. They don’t promote the dark girls no where near as much as as the lighter complected girls. Such a shame. Tweet has a wonderful voice and I love this photo of her. Did she drop some pounds cuz she looks slimmer by the arms?

i just read the cici lyrics and idk what you guys are talking about. they’re too mushy, are the lines in every love song. it was annoying. tweet’s weren’t original but at least she refrained from the nonsense about family and friends wanting them together, and hearts breaking, blah blah. she kept it simple, not flowery. anyone who went to english class knows that superfluous info needs to be chopped out
I don’t know they should just put this song away. But I guess it’s like that song by eric bent you know spend my life he had two different women sing the song and each one did it justice. But still that don’t work for everyone. Like because we know ciar has a sweet low toned voice we lke hers better because it seems like she putting feeling into . While tweet sound like she holding back like she could get louder if you gon cop somebody song you should know to do it ten times better at least to get attention.

Tweet had a second album called Its Me Again, I think it came out between 2005-2006. It was a really nice album, my favorite song on the album is called Cab, which samples the Taxi tv show music. I got mine as am import for 19.99, but you might be able to get it cheaper than that if you look around.

I haven’t posted in a while, but I had to on Tweet. She is the absolute best! (I even have her video, “Turn Da Lights Off” on my myspace page) I like this song for her. I can’t say I heard the Ciara version because I don’t too much care for her, but I do like the Tweet version of this song. Teeny bopper or not, Tweet brings a nice soulfulness to the song and I LIKE IT!!! Angel, make sure you let us know when her album release date is because I will be sure to cop it!…

Say what you want but can’t none of you say she isn’t a talented lady, she has proven beyond doubt that she writes and produces her own tracks. I’ve liked everything she’s put out up to now and I know she ain’t gonna disappoint this time either. Her stuff is a rare example of a great balance between commercial R&B and neo-soul, like Lauryn Hill can appeal to the public and the hardcore underground music heads, Tweet has that quality too imo.
This track is below her though, I’m all for switching up your style and trying something new but in some ways you have to get in where you fit in i.e. she couldn’t be singing a heavy metal track with her airy vocals. However, I like it, her vocals are on point as usual. T.I.’s droning voice gets on my fucking nerves on this track still, he just drowns Ciara/Tweet out! Stick to a rap verse T!
