A special screening of ‘American Gangster’ was held in Hollywood on Monday night. The usual suspects attended with a few additions.
In related news, the DVD Screener of ‘American Gangster’ hit the net last week. Screeners are usually passed out in DVD format so that the Oscar crowd can vote on the upcoming movies. Someone said ‘eff it’ and uploaded it on the net. Nope, I’m not posting a link to it but let’s just say the bootleggers will be making madd money before November 2nd comes around. Gotta love the internet.
I don’t care what denzel has on he will always be hot in my book. I love that fact that he is still with wife. Black love is beautiful….. more blacks should try it.

Henry simmons played on the crime series with garcelle beauvais…he played her boyfriend i think…and he played in that movie halle berry produced “lackawanna blues” with Terrence Howard….whew he was too fine in that movie too, henry simmons is underrated and looked over.
#56 – Henry Simmons IS fine… this photo doesn’t do him justice. He was on NYPD Blue and now you can see him every week on Shark. He also played Queen Latifah’s boyfriend in the movie Taxi and was Issac in Madea’s family Reunion.

I saw the movie and I thought it was great. Denzel is still fine after all these years. I just don’t see all the hype behind TI being in the movie. He had like 30 minutes of camera time all together threw out the entire movie….. whateva! The movie is long as hell and I didn’t even yarn. I can’t lie, I’m not going to see it at the movies. I’ve got the perfect copy and it didn’t even have fools getting up going to the bathroom
Everyone is making such a big deal about this movie and I don’t understand why… The damn movie is about 30 hours long and Denzel says “my man” through out the entire damn movie..
T.I. is in the movie every bit of 10 minutes and it wasn’t even worth casting him for that part.
The woman casted as Eva, Franks wife is Miss Puerto Rico and they SHOULD have casted Selma Hyack or someone that is actually pretty.
If you don’t know the story of Frank Lucas then you are shit outta luck because the movie leaves you in limbo at the end and it doesn’t tell the WHOLE truth about him. The director leaves you wondering who the hell some of the characters are because they don’t even bother to introduce them…

First, it was the ticket sales for “Why Did I Get Married” and now a “leak” of “American Gangster”. Money is made off the ticket sales and if a bootleg version is out, or the ticket purchased is for another movie, then it underminds the movie in general. Have you ever heard of this with the Harry Potter or Star Wars movies? NO!! So do not allow these mishaps to deter you from supporting the movie. Whomever did this planned on us buying or downloading the movie illegally rather than support the film. Whomever was behind the ticket issue with Tyler Perry’s movie planned on us not paying attention to the ticket stubs. Are we THAT predictable?? Let’s not be!!!

my husband got a copy of “american gangsters” on dvd yesterday and unlike a lot of bootlegs it is CRYSTAL CLEAR. however, i refuse to watch it. bootlegging is stealing and i am no thief. support denzel, common, t.i., rza, and ruby dee by showing your appreciation for their hard work and dedication by going to the movies on nov. 2. ’cause it’s not about the fact that denzel already getting paid, it’s about showing hollywood that people (not just black) want to see a dramatic movie w/ a majority african american cast. if we dont spend out money and show our support in the movie theatres, they will stop making movies w/ us in prominent roles.
How is it possible to get a unblemished full copy of a Bootlegged Movie before it’s released ????

People pleez support this movie!! Why do we go to the show to see other folks movies, but bootleg our own?! And we wonder why there are always 5 black people in the audience @ the Oscars. I downloaded it. I gave a copy of it to all my friends. I dont care about the Movie Industry. I hate when I see celebrities wanting me to donate MY money for some disease or people with bad health. Don’t get me wrong. I am very sorry for those who are sick and are in desperate need for help and cure. But come on people. The celebrities are the one’s with all the DAMN MONEY!!! You give it to them. I dont make 20 MILLION in 1 to 2 years of work. I make honestly about 19,000 a year. I have a 330 car payment, 110 insurance payment, 60 cell phone payment, 1300 in rent (including utilities), and about 200 in food A MONTH!! Do the Math! Im dead broke.
What I should be doing is start selling BOOTLEGS!! But I myself as an illegal down loader. I have standards.
I personally illegally download movies because I cant afford to go to the Movies. Why should I pay almost 10.00 for a movie that was really bad!
