Most of “bloggers” are interested in the case. Anyone can have an opinion. I think Beyonce is a great entertainer–but I find it a little curious that this is one of many complaints on copyright enfringement.

Appeals are expensive. Most frivilous claims get dropped at the local level. Home girl must think she has some legal leg to stand on.

I respect Beyonce alot. I consider myself neither a STAN or Hater. Hate impacts karma. A person’s success takes nothing away from anyone. There’s alot of money that circulates in this country everyday. And there’s damn sure more than one way to make a dollar than to sing a song.

With that said, If I’m not mistakin there is TONs of money in song writing. And Bey on most albums represents herself as a company a SONG WRITING ENTITY. And when you are a company you open yourself up to liability, accountability, and certain levels of exposure.

I mean maybe its all a big coincidence. Maybe Bey is psychically (sp) in tune with other writers–and she feels hooks and lyrics people are writing or about to write. Or. Maybe people are taking advantage trying to throw mud at the wall to see what sticks.

I think the truth is always somewhere in the middle. The Houston case (which is the state where her “company” is incorporated was decided on by one local judge. People, the mere fact that someone sues you does not mean that you did what they said you did. As an attorney, I know that people sue for copyright infringement all the time. This does not mean that Beyonce stole lyrics. This is evident by the fact that the judge has already ruled in Beyonce’s favor. The chances of that rulilng being overruled are slim.

I am curios to know why people think that she doesn’t write her lyrics. I have heard her give credit to those who have written for her or who have co-written with her. I dont think she has ever claimed that she writes absolutely everything herself. So, am I missing something here? Someone, please enlighten me.
