We all heard the rumor about Usher delaying his album plans because of Tameka’s pregnancy but it looks like Usher’s mama is not having it!
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the two ladies supposedly got into a recent screaming match where Jonetta Patton blamed Tameka for ruining her son’s career.
The entertainer’s mother, Jonetta Patton, supposedly had a screaming match with his wife, Tameka Foster, after learning Usher had dropped plans to release a new record because Foster insisted he take a break from his career to concentrate on her and their baby, a son who’s due in December.
Patton despises Foster for getting her fired as her son’s manager but didn’t hesitate to call her daughter-in-law to tell her she “is doing a great job destroying a talented artist’s fantastic career.”
According to a source who was present, Foster said nothing, then snapped her cell phone shut, thus ending the one-sided conversation. [source]
I’m sure you all remember the tip we received after Usher threw his fragrance release party a few weeks back. The tipster said you could slice the tension between Tameka and Jonetta with a knife.

Like I said in a previous post. Someone can only do to you, what YOU let them. Usher apparently wants this, so don’t blame Tameka. They made this decision as man & wife. Mama Patton needs to butt out & let her son (as a man…a married man at that) run his own life. As much as she (and quite a few of you) hate to admit, he is now has hisOWN family. One that he (along with his wife) have to make decisions about for their well-being.

Usher’s Mom can’t blame Tameka for getting her fired, Usher is a grown man – he has to take responsibility for that. As a mother I understand that it doesn’t matter how old your child is you will still love them and protect them with all of your might. But she has to realize as much as you dislike the woman, she is carrying your grandchild.

I had a feeling that Usher wouldn’t drop an album this year after Tameka became pregnant. Plus he will have to do a tour to promote the album which will require him to be away from the kid. Being there in the beginning of the child’s life is important but shit Usher is rich, I say build a baby room on his tour bus.

This sounds too weird. Forget the age difference and the fact that she had a few baggages when she met Usher. But, this is crazy. Usher is really not that young and he is mature for his age due to being in the entertainment business. This freakin chick got something on him. Trust. He’s not stupid. There is a deeper reason why he married her like he did and his mother knows.
His mother is speaking from the fact that she use to be his manager. So unlike his wife, she knows the business very well. She is the one whom made Usher the SUPERSTAR. So she had every right to call her daughter-in-law to let her know what she is doing to his carreer not his personal like, its business.
If someone was going to sabotage your carrer and you didn’t know it, wouldn’t you want someone whom loves you let you know?
This isn’t Tameka’s first child. And she is quite too old to be behaving like a 19 year old. She is foul and she know it. I agree #24. I was a BIG Usher fan. I got to meet him backstage in 2004 in D.C. when he was on tour and I had to do everything I could from fainting. But marryin this old washed up man, has really made him lose alot of sex appeal. Not to mention everytime I see them together she looks like the man of the relationship like she runs his life and Usher is a weak punk. Usher has lost a lotta cool points wit me for marrying trash and not listening to mama. Child MAMA KNOWS! Chris Brown has really stole Usher’s spot. I would rather see him with a woman with less baggage, and I agree Chilli and Usher were cute together, but he was so much cuter as a bachelor.
Usher is a grown man, a man that will make his own decisions regardless of what he is told by others. Right or wrong, they are his decisions to make. One thing that I hate that he’s probably doing is creating tension between himself and his mother. One knows that its hard when you are stuck between the mother who gave birth to you and the woman you now call your wife, but I hope he doesn’t make the mistake and pushes his mother away for good. She is the only one who will be there for him when everything else is gone (i.e. money, fame, and most likely, his wife)
He could have avoided this by just doing what everybody else does… announce an album date and then push it back.

Speaking as a young (24) married person, there are plenty of relationships where one spouse is in total control (while the other is just following). Tameka is probably the one in charge. However, Usher may just be excited about being a “new daddy” and doesn’t want to miss out on eanything (hence the hiatus from music). With marriage (especially), things can be different from what they seem……..
