When this song comes on, it just sounds like so much fun. Mary sounds like so much fun. I remember on that whole No More Drama tip, Mary was dancing and stuff, and I can definitely see her having a more fun approach on this new album, because I actually am really liking the single. The production on it is tight, Mary’s voice stays in the pocket and rides the song really nicely, and I’m usually not into Mary’s voice so much, but she does this song so much justice. Mary’s new album is tentatively titled Growing Pains and will be out sometime this fall.
Alicia Keys – Superwoman (live) – listen
I think that Alicia Keys will have an interesting new album. I definitely think that she’s been looking beautiful these days (I’m loving the new image), and “No One” is kind of growing on me. Although this is a live version of “Superwoman,” it’s supposedly taken from the new album, As I Am. This song sounds pretty, but you know, there’s something about Alicia Keys and these live version — I really want to hear what the studio version of this song sounds like. Especially after how much I loved “Unbreakable” and never heard a studio release of that. And I know there is one.

I don’t know how Polow Da Don manages to do it every time, but he manages to take the prettiest songs and make me afraid of them! No, but on a serious note, when I read the file name, I immediately though of how much I hated his remix to Fantasia’s “When I See U” – not because the production was bad, it was just really hard for that beautiful song. However, with Nicole’s second single, “Baby Love,” it manages to still come across as pretty. Not sure what’s going on with Nicole’s project right now. I don’t think “Whatever U Like” did as well as they expected to do, so they had to push the project back.

I got a couple of e-mails asking to post up this song since Tianna teased you guys with the streaming audio for this song. So, I’m posting it up. At first, I’ll admit, when I heard that Beyonce was in the studio recording from an insider, I was a little worried at what this was going to sound like, but upon hearing it, I loved it. It’s just funny because I never could picture hearing Beyonce’s voice on that track, but it worked out.

Mary is very inspiring for me because her music is so real – every step of the way her music has told the story of her life. Just like “My Life” told of all the drama at that time, “Just fine” says Mary’s still in a good place – she’s very comfortable with herself, and she’s not changing to meet anyone’s expectations.
I like the Alicia Keys song. I hate hate hate the Mary J Blige song. No offense to her cause I was a huge Mary fan but she needs to shut up already. We dont care if you love urself and ur man. Go away you loser. I HATE YOU NOW MARY
@CLEARMINDED don’t forget to add that alicia’s lyrics in this song are horrid. “i am a superwoman yes i am yes she is” what? it sounds so 3rd grade-ish to me. inspirational to some i guess but i want music with substance. i can’t be inspired by junk. i agree w/you that she is a bit overrated but at the same time, she’s one of the few mainstream artists that actually has some talent. however, there are MANY MANY underground artists or international artists more talented than she is. ppl just don’t know about them yet
