THE NEW MUSIC REVIEW

Alicia Keys feat. Cassidy – No One (Remix) (full) – listen
The more I heard the song, the more it grew on me. And now here’s a remix with Cassidy, who is ready to release a new album as well. This remix doesn’t differ too much from the original version of the song. I will say though, that I’m digging the new image Alicia went for this time around on the new album. She looks absolutely amazing in the new video. I am eager to hear some more material. There have been some live tracks floating around, but I always like to hear what Allcia’s music sounds like from the studio.

Cassie – In Love With the DJ (full) – listen
I posted a snippet of this song a couple of weeks ago, and I actually was kind of feeling it. Although I was expecting a little more from the full version, I still think it’s a cute song. I think what I like most about this song is the lyrics, more so in the verse than the chorus. Like on most of Cassie’s songs, she pretty much sings the same note the whole way through. The last few songs that I’ve posted from Cassie are to appear on her new album, due out sometime soon, tentatively titled The Return.

Britney Spears – Radar (full) – listen
The homies from The Clutch really put it down on this song for Britney. I am very excited for Blackout now that I’ve heard a large portion of the material that was recorded for those sessions. Although Britney may not have it all together, the team of producers and writers chosen for the project are stellar. Jive must be feeling a little confident too, because they moved Britney’s album release date up from the November to the 30th of October. But rumor also has it that they don’t want to compete with Celine Dion’s album being released on that November date.

Cherish – If He Ask Me (full) – listen
What makes this so funny to me is the fact that all of Cherish’s material runs together for me. This sounds like something they did on their first album, Unappreciated. I can’t tell the different between their new material and their old stuff. I mean, I guess it says that they’re consisted but it doesn’t tell me that there’s been any growth. But then again, I’m not quite positive of what it was that I was expecting. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Look out for Cherish’s new album in February of ’08.

I love Alicia keys to DEATH. It just makes me angry because she’s under publicized. We hear about Bee( Beyonce fans, please don’t hurt me) all the damn time, but Alicia has some serious talent. Im so glad she’s commin out with a new album but she needs more publicity. Best of luck to her
