Mya feat. Trina – Ridin’ (Remix) (full) – listen
Trina’s dropping a new album so it’s only appropriate that she’s hopping on some remixes. I actually kind of like this remix of the song. I think that the more uptempo production goes a little harder than the original version of the song. I also think it fits the lyrics of the song a little better. Although I haven’t enjoyed the bulk of the material that’s been leaked from Mya’s Liberation, I do like the video for “Ridin’” – the imagery is really cool. I just hope that Mya can get out of this rut and release this album. It’s been pushed back too many times.
Chris Brown – I’ll Call Ya (snippet) – listen
Chris Brown’s material from Exclusive, his sophomore effort, is leaking slowly but surely. I, personally, have enjoyed all the singles from Chris, as well as the bulk of the material that I’ve heard, including the snippets. I need to hear the rest of this one, though, because I’m not sold on the song yet. Although it seems as though Chris is suffering from a bit of the sophomore slump, he’s still been getting major promotion from magazines. I’m a little worried about how Exclusive will do, because he hasn’t been getting as much love as he used to.
Timbaland & One Republic – Apologize (full) – listen
One of my favorite songs from Shock Value is now Timbaland’s new single, and it’s on the charts, while “The Way I Are” (featuring Keri Hilson & D.O.E.) is still riding high as well. There really is something about this song that it just beautiful to me. I sometimes even listen to the instrumental (they leaked an instrumentals version of Shock Value a couple of months ago). I was surprised to see that they made this song a single, but it definitely has that crossover appeal that most of Timbaland’s album gave me this time around.
Britney Spears – Sugarfalls (full) – listen
The official tracklisting for Britney’s new album, Blackout has finally leaked but the Neptunes-produced “Sugarfalls” isn’t on it. I guess they only wanted to use on Neptunes track out of all the best material, and “Stupid Things” was the song that made the cut. And I can definitely see why. To me, “Stupid Things” sounds more like a completely song than “Sugarfalls.” Even though I am slightly in love with the bridge of this song.
I don’t know if you’ve been under a rock or not, but Chris’ fanbase is the same if not bigger than it was with the last album. Yeah people had their doubts last month because “Wall To Wall” didn’t do well, but the album is dropping Tues. November 6th and we ( the fans ) are very excited and ready for it. He’s still getting love from his fans. His fanbase has not died down. TRUST.

“Apologize” has been out for a while now (well, at least here in Canada). It’s a great song – fell in love with it as soon as I d/l’d the album. I like it much better than the original.
Mya is SO boring – her music stinks, flat out. Her acting game isn’t too bad – saw her last night on Aunt Viv’s detective TV show that’s filmed in Toronto.

Brian, I love “apologize” too!! I dug it when you first posted it when Tim’s album first came out but really fell in love with it when it was performed on my soap opera [One Life To Live]. H e and Keri also did “The Way I Are” on there too. It is such a beautiful song. The singer’s voice is so raw and full of emotion. Fabulous choice for a single!!

I love Mya’s song Ridin, its about her riding around town trying to find her no good boyfriend. Her voice has actually gotten stronger and lets not forget for a dancer to become a singer is a big deal because her dancing is stronger than her singing but her voice has come a long way. Mya is dating that fine Darren also known as Lem VanAdams from SoulFood the series, I would say Mya’s luck is changing.
I have to admit although grudgingly that I like Chris Brown, my friend’s son love’s him and tries to be him in so many ways, it’s too cute, and I am at times subjected to listen to CB’s first CD over and over again because it is in her car’s constant rotation, so it grew on me…maybe even to a point where I might actually go out and purchase his 2nd CD for myself….I feel so cheesy saying that, I am 30 and actually contemplating buy his CD….LOLOL
