Get over it that incident was so yesterday. Viacom/CBS has some nerve….. How can they talk about morality when they broadcast the ish that they broadcast. The soaps that they broadcast during the day is way WORSE than the superbowl incident.

BTW if you are going to see the movie this weekend, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A TICKET STUB FOR “WHY DID I GET MARRIED”. A caller on the Steve Harvey radio show said that she purchased five tickets this morning and they were for the movie “Elizabeth”. We need for this to be NO. 1 at the box office so we can get more quality african american movies on the big screen.

I think personally that CBS should make some kind of apology to the persons who represent the movie. Tyler and Janet were representing “Why Did I Get Married” not the Superbowl which rightly said happened four years ago, those are two totally different issues and they were not there to discuss that. On the other hand they should have protected themselves before the interview by having some kind of clause in the Interview Agreement that they not discuss anything other than the movie, let that be a lesson for later. Maybe that is why they don,t ask Angelina why she stole Brad from his wife while married… they protect themselves first from those questions.
Everyone go out and see the movie I hope I get a chance to see it, I am in Halifax Nova Scotia and the theatre downtown does NOT ALWAYS play entirely Black cast movies (uhmm) sometimes its quite a drive to go to another theatre, inspite of three large universities with a very diverse student body, and a huge population of African and Caribbean students in the downtown area.

I find the behavior of the journalists especially the one who constanlty “hounded” Janet to be utterly ridiculous, unprofessional and ignorant. That reporter could of cared less about Tyler or the movie for that matter, all he saw was “Nipplegate”.

I don’t know why but it really suprised me how unprofessional and how lacking in any integrity that journalism was. It started with attacking Tyler’s body of work, almost insinuating that he copied from another movie from the 80’s. Tyler stated he never saw the movie, but they made sure to tell him about it and how it was so much like Why Did I Get Married? The only thing those movie have in common are people coming together to discuss and evaluate relationships. They are no where near the same movie.

Equally as disgusting was how the reporter questioned Janet as if she were some child. I felt like my own family memeber was under attack. I don’t know Janet, she sure as hell don’t know me, but seeing her that situation, made me want to defend her. Thank you Tyler for stepping up as a man or any person should in that situation. A part me was mad that Janet didn’t say anything, but there I realized, she’s under a lawsuit and cannot really speak on the subject, she swore to never talk about it again, and if she would’ve made a big deal about it and say cursed him out or stormed out it would’ve made headline news. The interviewers were asses. It seems, however, that the one guy who was asking the nipplegate questions may be a like a shock jock — Tyler said something like “We were warned” which kinda makes me think he’s one of those idiots that get off trying to create controversy. In Janet’s defense, it appears that she was getting ready to address the issue. However, Tyler jumped in a deflict the question by bringing up the movie. I think that she handled the situation well. I am pretty sure she would have told that a$$hole the samething that she told Matt Lauer of the Today, “I am not discussing this anymore, I said that after I discussed it on Oprah, I will not talk about this again”. But she need to do that because Tyler handled the situation, just like Timberfake should have handled the superbowl.

I am writing to express my anger concerning the inappropriateness of Mark Allen’s comments towards Janet Jackson on the Good Day show. His comments pertaining to the unrelated incident during the Superbowl were uncalled for, tactless, and offensive. Mr. Allen’s comments were totally irrelevant to the conversation regarding Ms. Jackson’s new movie, which is the reason for her appearance on the morning show. Mr. Allen’s tacky questions offended not only me but many of those around me due to the fact that the incident has passed and been forgotten. Mr. Allen should watch his mouth and learn how to act appropriately and with class when interviewing a high profile, distinguished and seasoned guest. His lack of tact showed his lack of character and common sense and he should not be allowed to participate in interviews with similar guests in the future. Thank you for your time.

I am absolutely appalled at the rudeness, lack of professionalism, and utter disrespect displayed by your reporters.

I am further perplexed by his insistence on discussing an event that was clearly embarrassing to a woman. Particularly, the reporter on the far right displayed a level of hostility that merits further investigation. He reeks of the stench of a man who doesn’t respect the boundaries of others–EVEN when those boundaries involve a topic as personal as a woman’s physiology.

I would strongly advise your company to insist that he attend counseling and sensitivity classes before you have a sexual harrassment suit on your hands.

I am certain that you will receive more complaints. I sincerely hope that your company is sued.

Furthermore, I am a professional African-American woman with many African-American friends and associates who appreciate the work of both Mr. Perry and Ms. Jackson. I will be certain to pass this along to all of them. Perhaps when companies who allow their employees to show insensitivity and disregard to people of varying ethnicities, begin to feel the power of the loss of dollars, a change will be made.

For everyone saying, “Janet should have spoke up for herself”… she did… back in 2003!!! Janet talked about that incident so many times that she is TIRED now. I don’t watch your channel, but I did see the “Janet Jackson Interview Goes Bad” and it was conducted beyond unprofessionally. To ignore the whole reason they were on there in the first place and focus on an incident that happen over three years ago,shows your station’s lack of interest and respect for the African-American culture. I guess because the movie is about professional blacks who are not fitting the media’s stereotypes of us, it was not important enough to discuss.
