Why did I get married! Oh My God! I really loved the movie! There is something in there for the Men as Well as a whole lot for the women! It had me laughing and almost to tears at one scene! I was so into the movie people thought it was my life on screen! LOL! I loved the intelligence of the movie. Honestly a movie you can take your kids to see. Teen and Old! I have to go back and see it again because I missed a lot of the one liners! Because it was so funny. Everyone was so different in there characters that it made each scene! Jill Scott truely shined! And Janet will show you where it all started…she for one surprised me! I just thought she was there for ticket sells, but she was so much more! My favorite character was Tasha’s though! She was tooo real at times which had me rollin on the floor!
P.S. This is a guy who loved a movie about being married….I still am not sold on the idea of marrage! LOL!

I want to see “Why did I get Married” on Saturday night and I enjoyed the movie from beginning to end. Everyone in the movie was great! Jill Scott was amazing in the movie and Tasha Smith was hilarious! I always liked Tasha from previous t.v. shows and movies. I also thought that Janet and Tyler Perry were really good. I recommend everyone to go see this movie. It’s a really positive black movie which we don’t get to see very often. I’m happy it debuted at number 1 at the box office. It shows that Tyler Perry is a force to be recoken with in Hollywood.

WDIG was a great movie! Comedy and drama mixed together very well. The cast got a long great. I feel like the women in the movie were beautiful and played their parts to the T. No over acting no over acting, just being the character. The men were great to, you hated Richard T. Jones which was the point. I can’t say it again great movie, great insight to the dynamics of marriage and dating.

Ahhh… I didn’t think it was good aside from Tasha Smith being wild and funny (”No you got it from Walter…”) and Jill, she was great. But EVERYONE else, down to Tyler Perry’s; acting was bad and to me it seemed scene after scene each person brought the others acting down. The emotions seemed forced and they acted it out like they were in class practicing the scenes…. I’m sorry I may not have big screen films under my belt but from an actors point of view (and I went with another actor friend) they could have came better.

Glad it was number one though…happy at least for that.

Why did i get married was the bomb…..Janet’s acting was off the chain…J.Scott’s character was unbelievably naive, just couldn’t believe some women actually think like her, but she did a good job of portraying that character. Tasha is a fool, and we all know their are plenty of characters out like her…the other lady did a good job as well..Tyler put his foot in this one.

WDIGM was beyond BRILLIANT. Once I saw all the positive reviews about it on blackflix.com and all the other sites I knew it was a must to support and I was NOT disappointed. Kudos to Perry for hiring unfamiliar faces and giving other non-traditional actors a chance. I hope he continues striving for good quality projects and he will continue to have my support. I also like that he mentioned the issue of HIV within our community in the film. I still don’t understand how a white homosexual disease is now a predominantly black one.

Go see this movie!!! It really is his best movie yet and the acting and casting are excellent. And to those who have seen it, go see it again just to shut up the white critics who trashed it and say that the number one spot is a fluke, the movie won’t be number one after this weekend and that it won’t have any staying power.

Further more most of the statements made by the students of Jena High School about the incident that happened on 12-4-06 state that Carwin Jones and Bryant Purvis were seen around where the incident occured but they were not actually seen hitting Justin Barker.

And congrats to Janet for not looking all glammed up for her role….she was willing to be vulnerable for her character and that’s the sign of a true actress…she played the shit out that role…i was so glad she wasn’t all overly made up with big wigs in every scene, she actually looked like a psychologist, very conservative.

I don’t care what anybody say JANET JACKSON killed that scene in the kitchen. Naw Janet was just that damn good. She need do more movies. Hell all 3 of these beautiful black women (Tasha, Jill & Janet)…need to do more movies.

Why did I get married is hands down the best film I’ve seen all year. Seriously. Nas, well we can’t change the way people think especially since this word has been passed down from generation to generation. It was the main term of endearment many black people adopted when we didn’t have a choice. For some reason now that we have a choice, some of us believe we have a right, it’s part of our heritage to use a word that was created out of hatred.

P.S. WDIGM was even better then Transformers.
