It has been announced that the release of Mary J. Blige’s forthcoming album ‘Growing Pains’ has been pushed back. The CD, which was originally supposed to drop on November 27th, will now hit stores on December 11th. Word is the album is still going to be released on November 27th.
Above is the supposed mock up of the new album cover, which I doubt is authentic because someone didn’t blend the background and photo together correctly in photoshop.

I think all these albums are getting pushed back because they use these orchestrated “leaks” of their material to trying to figure out if people are feeling their music. I’m sure all these artists have people reading the blogs and chats to see how us folk are responding. When they figure out their music ain’t hitting on nothing with us, the Chris Brown’s, Usher’s and MJB’s know they need to try to come harder.

Yeah i think it was mto that started the rumor about Mary pushing her Cd back because of B but I remember hearinga while ago that B was going to drop a live CD this year. If Mary’s so much better why does she consider B a threat? Her CD has been pushed back not because it’s unfinished, but because she fears competition. If you remember “The Breakthrough” was released a week before X-mas. Not saying that it wasn’t a great Cd but the time in which it was released had a lot to do with that # of CD’s sold. I am willing to bet it doesn’t sell as many this round.

MJB was probably pushed back cause the single has not caught on. I agree that a lot of these artist put tracks out there to get a feel for what people think. Some artists don’t do that and I think MJB should trust that her fans are going to cop the album, she doesn’t have to play those games with us. Usher usher usher I just don’t know about him these days. Because he isn’t really speaking on anything directly all we can do is go off what we hear. I hope he is happy in this relationship and I’m happy for him having a child for the first time. In the end I guess it really doesn’t matter what Usher does or how long he waits to release his next CD. If the music is hot, people will still buy it. If the baby is coming in a few weeks/months and he releases his CD now, he will be too tied up with interviews and appearances to have time to truly focus on his new child. It’s not the same as a dad that works a nine to five and comes home at the end of the day. Sure she could travel with him and the baby and the rest of the crew, but it seems Ursh just wants to make this time as special and normal as possible and I won’t knock him for that.
