Talk show host Montel Williams and his fiancée, Tara Fowler, wed before an intimate gathering of friends and family over the weekend in Bermuda. A small band sang love songs as the couple walked up to the reception and the dog was the ring bearer.
“I am ecstatic! Unbelievable,” Montel told PEOPLE immediately following the ceremony. “A key to any successful marriage is that you’ve got to have friends, you’ve got to have family to support that union, and from day one we’ve had family and friends together that support this.” [SOURCE : PEOPLE]
Among the 60 guests were both the bride’s and groom’s parents and siblings. And Williams’ 18-year-old daughter Maressa (from his first marriage) served as one of Fowler’s bridesmaids. I wonder if Sylvia Browne made an appearance, she is always a guest on his show.

Diddy aka Sean Combs is reportedly being sued by a former associate who filed the lawsuit from prison claiming Diddy owes him more than $19 million for music by Notorious B.I.G. The former employee, James Sabationo, for Diddy’s Bad Boy Entertainment Inc. claims he flew B.I.G. to Miami in 1994 to perform a show and record some music. Although a contract was never signed, Sabationo says that it was understood that the music session which contained about 17 minutes of vocals and 90 minutes of video footage because he paid for the rapper’s travel expenses and studio time.
According to the lawsuit, Diddy agreed to buy the music and video footage from Sabatino for $200k after B.I.G. was killed in 1997 and gave Sabatino a check for $25k with a promise to pay the rest of the money in 60 days. Poster # 60 I took a look at that website and it is overwhelmingly about famous black women with white men. I never said NO famous white men had black women, my thing was the ratio of famous black men with non-white women versus famous white men with black women. White professional athletes with black wives as opposed to black professional athletes with white wives.
Even back in the 80′s and to this very day there were a rainbow of women in Black male videos, including white women as the lead from time to time. But it was extremely rare in the reverse. Most of those rock bands and grunge bands rarely, if ever had black women, let alone as the lead, in their videos. If they did, I wouldn’t have anything to say about white and non-black women in Black videos. But again, the imbalance was noticeable and as a black person, disturbing.
Considering Black people are a minority in this country, the imbalance is something to take note of and is something I’ve always wondered about.

I won’t generalize but I have dogs as the ring bearer in many white couple’s weddings. I’ve been to three such weddings myself and I personally find it ridiculous. The dog is all wandering down the aisle, distracted by the flowers and everything, the groom or best man is squatting down whistling and calling him, and then there’s all that tailwagging during the ceremony… I love dogs but yuck!
