THE ROUND UP: NEW YORK GETS RUDE / KEYSHIA ON THE RADIO / WILL SMITH & ‘KARATE KID” / EVE’S ALBUM PUSHED BACK
Tuesday, October 2, 2007
New York showed why she was the H.B.I.C over the weekend. TMZ cameras caught footage of the reality star was eventually cussed them out after cussing her driver out. The rabbit even carried one of her fans that was trying to say hi to her as she was leaving. She’s great entertainment on and off screen…
Photo: Wireimage Keyshia Cole did an interview last week promoting her album Just Like You in Baltimore on 92Q and came off very cold - much like she did last year on the Doug Banks Show if anyone remembers. For example, when asked how the album is doing? - “It’s aight, ya know…go out and get it”. How is this album different then the last? - “I think I’ve grown alot but, you know…what, that’s not enough for you?
Radio jock Marc Clark kept it real with her towards the end and Keyshia apologized, then clarified why she came off the way she did. No matter what you go through though, professionalism is always a must! LISTEN TO THE INTERVIEW HERE…I’m still anticipating the results of her album sales.
Photo: Wireimage “Karate Kid” is coming back and this time, Will Smith will be directing the 1984 remake:
The Pursuit of Happyness star, 39, is reportedly working on a modern-day version of the martial arts movie, with his nine-year-old son Jaden taking on the lead role of Daniel, originally made famous by Ralph Macchio.
Smith Jr. will star alongside Rush Hour’s Jackie Chan, who will play the boy’s mentor, Mr. Miyagi, according to reports. (Starpulse)
I look forward to this, as well as seeing his cute son acting again…
Photo: Wireimage What’s up with these artists and these album pushbacks?! Eve has pushed back her November release of “Here I Am”, her first album since 2002’s “Eve-olution”:
Originally due in August and then bumped to Oct. 16, rapper Eve’s new Geffen album, “Here I Am,” has now been pushed back until 2008. A spokesperson had no comment on the reason for the delay.
The first single from the project, “Tambourine,” had modest success on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, peaking at No. 17. A new track, “Give It to Me” featuring Sean Paul, has yet to chart, although it has been at radio for several weeks. (Billboard)
So fans may not get that album until November of 08. Maybe people want the Ruff Ryders Eve back…

Karate Kid? Well, there’s nowhere to go but up because I thought the original was terrible. But I support Will in all of his fineness.

Sounds like Keyshia Cole was left in the dark. She was a woman about it and like my man said investigated the situation. She then showed love and picked up the pieces. It takes a big person to admit when they are wrong. I’m glad he pulled her coat. Remember this, our success depends on the success of others, that’s why its so important for us to support each other.
