There are plenty of entertainers with more hectic schedules than hers and they still know how to show professionalism. There is a difference between sucking that shyt up and doing a job were you have to socialize vs your everyday socializing/meeting and greeting with folks when you don’t have to.

I am sometimey as hell there are some days when I wont even answer my phone because I don’t want to be bothered. That is also why I have a job that I don’t have to deal with socializing with a lot of people in order to make more money.

But she was never really lady like. She seemingly always tried to be the “homegirl who made it big and was keeping it real”. But almost to real. Then I really hated her when she hosted 106 & Park. It was like she was trying to thug it up. But when I heard this interview on my way to work last week, I didn’t know who it was at first. I thought it was some local celeb from like… the wire or something. Definitely not a mainstream celeb. Once I realized who it was I was taken back to that original ghetto girl that I once didn’t care for and this is where she will always be in my heart!

Keyshia needs to get a PR - - its all about professionalism…if you’re a fan and hear her interview and uninterest and attitude HELL it doesn’t make you look at her in a positive light. I think that artist esp new artist should consult with an image counselor prior to touring and doing promotional interviews .So many of these artist go from being regular people from the ghetto with a dream of making it to celebrities almost over night and the experience can be overwhelming .I certainly think that Keshia Cole could have handled the interview more professionally than she did,but she may not have been armed with the tools to do so. We now see a new improved Mary J Blige ,free of excessive bad attituide and a drug and alcohol problem that plagued her for most of her early career,but she wasnt always that way!Mary J Blige gas changed for the better in more ways than one,trust me I remember when she first came out. It takes time ,and these artist need the right person to take them under the wing and show them some compassion so that they know to to carry themselves in different situations as an artist .This is called artist development. These labels hire stylist,hairdressers,song writers,producers,etc etc but should invest more time in developing their artist! Keshia is from the streets,so she still has that street attitude.Mary had it and the strange thing was all of her albums were big hits inspite of it. She was fortunate ,because fans could have turned on her to! Keshia mau not be so lucky so she might want to pump the breaks ,take a deep breathe and think before she speaks. Touring and doing interiews is the main platform that an artist has to promote their upcoming and current projects. They have to remember this.Regardless of how many interviews you do,and how many times your asked the same question,it serves a purpose for YOU as an artist because you want people to support what your doing and buy the cd when it hits the stores.

As for NEWYORK- This woman gets far too much attention for doing nothing “noteworthy”. Jaden Smith- I’m sorry, but the Karate Kid is a movie that shouldn’t be redone at all, because it is a sacred classic and many times when sacred classics are redone, they are destroyed by cornyness. I’m sure Jaden’s appearance in the film will be cute to some, but just plain cheesy to me.
Eve- Aww well. I guess Cds today are really dying. The main problem is so many artists are taking so much time doing worthless interviews, appearances, photoshoots, with one lead single for an album that is not gonna drop until five months later. Most of the time, the album is already finished and people get impatient and will find the download somewhere on the net, and artists wonder why they ain’t selling no records. Within 2 months of the first single/video, the album should be out.
Keyshia- I understand how some of you all feel about her attitude. I think it was good that the radio host made her stop and think about how she sounds, even stars need reality checks. Yes it is stressful doing photoshoots, interviews, autograph signings, traveling, and performing all in one day. So is working 2 jobs, taking care of 3 kids, and maintaining a home. Both types of people work hard and deal with the unexpected, like a last minute interview, but at the same time that person picks up a six figure check when it is all said and done. What we all have to understand is that she is still growing, and she is getting better , nobody is perfect. I’m sure she still appreciates her fans and her support. Maybe if she didn’t go to so many afterparties, she wouldn’t be so hungover. I still LUV me some Keysh though.
