(UPDATED) T.I. RELEASED ON 3 MILLION DOLLAR BOND
Friday, October 26, 2007

A federal judge ordered rapper T.I. released on $3 million bond today, but he must remain in home confinement while he awaits trial on weapons charges. U.S. Magistrate Judge Alan Baverman said the singer must remain under house arrest at a home in Henry County. He wasn’t more specific about the location.
T.I. (real name: Clifford Harris) will be monitored 24 hours a day by a private monitoring service that he must pay for. He’s restricted to the home except under certain circumstances, including medical appointments and court appearances. He cannot own any firearms and cannot have contact with any witnesses or informants in the case.
Noting that T.I has a team of highly qualified attorneys, the judge said: “You shouldn’t do anything that will undermine their ability to represent you.” Defense lawyer Ed Garland argued that based on the amount of money being put up, there’s no reason not to release his client.

to black and black
I can believe people that say that we say that TI is a dumb because we cannot support each other. So I hope TI did not plan to kill another black. So we should support a black man who probaby killed or at least planned to kill somne other black ppl. TI is LUCKY to be home and he can thank god he has money. 3 million dollar is ok compared to his fortune and the fact that he has so many ways to disappear ( plane and everytinhg). I hope he is happy. But I am not his mother and or his wife or whatever so I can tell he is wrong and this has nothing to do with race. Even if he was my brother, or my son, I will kick his ass so strong that it will still hurt when he get out jail. Please,If TI was really into his community he should have first THINK of his family!! And you are wrong for that, TI is not the only one who has to pay so many money to get out of jail and they were not BLACK cause there are not so many black ppl that can afford that. Whatever, I want to support successful ppl and clever ppl and dumb who buy guns.

IF YOU DO THE CRIME YOU SHOULD DO THE TIME! Obviously money can’t buy class. Of all the things he could possess . . he chooses “fire arms”?! Why didn’t he just go to a gun store, buy them legally and get a license for them? Hmmmmmm, probably because of a prior rap? Then that means he wasn’t suppose to have them in the first place! What an idiot!!!! And ya’ll on there singin praises, yall sure know how to hold black folks up in their mess, right is right and wrong is wrong, stop turning a blind eye to improper behavior by these celebrities!!!!
After 9/11 these FEDs ain’t playing . .what are ya’ll retarded!!!! He’s lucky they don’t slap him with a charge of terrorism support!

“THANK GAWD He At home wiv his kids…”
Why? Apparently he’s not setting a good example. I think he’ll teach his kids more if he stayed in jail. They need to see what happens when a black man doesn’t have millions of dollars to get bail.

Right on Black on Black. Some of these people are so naive, i.e. “if he received threats to his life or any other relative why didnt he report that to law enforcement authorities?” Open your eyes people. Do you honestly think that law enforcement gives a damn about someone threatening T.I.’s life? None of them like seeing a black man being successful, having money, and doing his thing. Period.
Another question…who do you all think that T.I. was planning on using these guns to protect himself from? Women & children? The elderly? I think not. Have you all ever seen any of this man’s interviews? I dont think T.I. goes out of his way to find trouble. Furthermore, Im sure the people that he was protecting himself from already have blood on their hands.
T.I. Phuck the haters. All they see is fame and fortune. Their jealousy hardens their hearts and they are quick to judge to make themselves feel better about their own miserable lives or misfortunes. They dont live your life and know nothing of your reality. Only God knows the truth about your situation and he will judge accordingly. Keep ya head up.

“Well, let’s be real…if he were a WHITE celeb and not a rapper - would his bond be so high? Or is it because he’s a convicted felon?”
I think it is all the above, but don’t sympathize with this fool he had much more than most of us will ever see in a life time and still managed to f*ck it up. He has nobody to blame but himself.
“That is y we gotta stop hatin’ on each other and embrace each other an STICK THE FUCK TOGETHER! Every race does it but us…what’s up with that?”
This is why our community is in trouble. Wrong is wrong. I don’t want my child to support someone just because they are black. We should “stick together” for the betterment of our race-not for some ignorant felon. There is so much work to do black people.

“also what type of nigga doesnt own a gun, knife, pepper spray in their home though T.I. is HUMAN we all are we make mistakes hopefully he will learn from this”
The only thing I have in my house that you mentioned is a knife-for cooking. It may be a new concept tosome, but I’ve never seen a gun in my life, muchless own one. Blacks don’t like it when whites stereotype us,but we stereotype each other and that is ok?

No seriously TI, Keep your head up boo. There is only one person who can get you out of this. Start praying boo.

I can guarantee that if he would’ve snitched on whoever the mystery rapper from Atlanta is that they wanted him to turn in he would’ve not had to pay no $3 MILLION . It is all about power and making an example out of someone and they did just that. They have the power (THE SYSTEM) and they had an example (T.I). It’s messed up to look at like that but it is what it is.

I Cannot believe that people keep supporting this guy.
I agree in one thing, we do not know if TI is guilty or no but maybe OJ Simpson was not guilty. He is black so every body think he is ok to be out of jail when you kill someone or plan to do it just because he is black or it will be taken as racism?!!!!!!!!!!
We black folks wanted to be treated the same way as whites, we know that is never gonna happen soon. However, justice cannot treat us bad unless we put ourself in such a situation. I know some people that are to jail for 3 years just because they have one gun, even unloaded!! and you know what ,they never have bond to pay, so they stayed in jail. So the real unfairness is that when you are rich, you are given so much more privileges even for that kind of matter. And people think it is jalousy. Jay-z is much more richer than him and he don’t fall in such a stupid situation, maybe because he is clever!! Nothing to do with jalousy. Some of us are fool and you have to admit even if you could die for him so some of you should probably ask the judge to go in jail instead of TI, I am sure all his family would appreciate

To CMEEZ
If TI was clever, He will NEEEEVEEEEER show up to the exchange. So even if he THINKS he has to buy these guns, don’t you think he cannot have guns legally or hire more body guards or even mercenaries?!! Why do something that you know is going to make you in trouble. Probably because he tought he would never be caught??
That is why, to me he is guilty. But if he is not. i hope this is going to be his last MISTAKE. From a man who is already a convicted felon, and father and husband, maybe he should THINK more before doing somthing.

I would very much like for you Federal Agents to drop all charges against TI in exchange for him making 2 albums and bringing in 60-Million $ within the next 6 months. Please stop monitoring and trying to “set up” these Hip Hop artists, based on jealousy because your sorry government working ass makes only 1% of what they make. “Hip Hop VS Racist America” - lolz.

I cannot believe TI for how arrogent he was letting HIMSELF talk about the deal over the phone and going HIMSELF to actually make the pickup. What type of ‘King’ does that $#!% ?? And all the while being in the center of attention on this whole Hip Hop Vs America thing. Another reminder that money, no longer makes you invincible.
