T.I. UPDATE: PLEADS NOT GUILTY; JUDGE CONSIDERS HOUSE ARREST

Friday, October 19, 2007

tiblack.jpg
T.I. at the BET HIP-HOP REHEARSALS HOURS BEFORE HIS ARREST LAST WEEK. (Nvision Photography)

T.I.’s request to be released on bond was denied today by U.S. Magistrate judge Alan Baverman. T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, Jr., was also arraigned on federal gun charges today where he entered a plea of not guilty, as was expected.

The judge was ready to release T.I. under house arrest (as I reported) but T.I. and his attorneys did not meet the specific conditions of bond release today, which included a $3.7 million cash and property bond, a private alarm monitoring company with an employee of the alarm company living on the property, Tiny can be the only adult living on the property (in addition to T.I., the adult monitor and T.I.’s children) and T.I. must submit to twice weekly drug testing.

Dressed in a black suit with his legs shackled, T.I. entered the courtroom through a side door and briefly made eye contact with loved ones and friends before taking a seat in front of his family.

The Grammy-winning rapper appeared alert, confident and well-rested as he conversed quietly with his dream team of attorneys at the defense table. The courtroom on the 19th floor was packed with family, media and supporters including movers and shakers in the industry such as Lyor Cohen, Kevin Liles, Michael Mauldin and Young Jeezy. [READ MORE]

The next hearing is scheduled for next Friday. If T.I. and his attorneys meet these requirements, T.I. will be released under house arrest with very strict conditions.

EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS OF T.I. HOURS BEFORE HIS ARREST

T.I. & DJ DRAMA

Check out these exclusive shots of T.I. rehearsing for his performance on BET’S Hip-Hop Awards last weekend. According to Nzinga Wallace of Nvison Photography, the rapper was excited about his performance and took time to speak to fans. He was arrested less than a hour after these photos were taken.

Holding bond, and maybe possible house arrest. Well, hopefully this is an eye opener, and get him to realize he need to get it together. How many times do you have to go to jail to figure that out?

I cosign with #8. T.I. and all these other rich rappers make hip-hop look bad. Why can’t they just take the money and enjoy life. I know that he is in some dangerous situations sometimes, but him walking around with a machine gun is only going to make a heated argument turn into something worse. Plus he is a felon and should have known better. whatever happens, happens! he was not set up by the snitch. he set his own damn self up! and please this man is a felon, that is why the bond is so high. he has already proven that he can’t follow the law so you get punished for it the second time around….please don’t make this into a race issue!

Okay on to the topic at hand.
In the great words from the momma of Good Times, DAMN DAMN DAMN!
This whole case is crazy. Its hard to see someone who was doing so good, all of a sudden get so down (not for long). Overall I just hate to see a black man down.
I’m seeing and hearing T.I’s name everywhere…especially places you would never hear about him, for example CNN, MSNBC, local news, and news radio.
Media thrives when they see a black man down, because they feel it proves a point.
I wish T.I a speedy return…FREE T.I.

Yeah, i knew he would’t get bail. He probably won’t next week time either. I assumed it would also be a few million because he’s a high flight risk.

It’s not looking good for him. Just the fact that this is his 3rd strike will have him looking at some double digit numbers, before u even bring in all those gun charges. He should have plead guilty and tried to plea a lighter sentence. I hope his lawyers are up to something with that “not guilty” foolishness though, seems stupid to me.

In many ways I feel sorry for T.I. But, he needs to be slapped… When this story first hit the media I thought that his body guard is on some shady stuff. I honeslty, believe his body guard set it up for him to get caught. Clifford Harris needs to get out of this idea of always wanting to become this bad guy . He’s making millions, a girlfriend that looks like a HOT GHETTO MESS most of the time, a tribe full of children. What in the world are you trying to get all of these weapons for?? I know he’s not going to Iraq to fight no war. I’m sick and tired of brothas being caught up in the system all of the time. Thats a reason why strong black women like myself is always frustrated because of something like this. I applauded him when he was on BET for Hip Hop vs. America. I would have rather listened to him then wack single Nelly any day. I guess he’s one of those hard headed guys.. How many times are you going to get into trouble to realize that it’s not worth it. He’s going to have a good movie coming out in Nov.2007 things are (were) going well for him. Leave that gangster rap whatever you call it to the youngsters.

If that same black man came into your neighbourhood with all that amunition would you say “give him a break” then? He had silencers for goodness sakes. He has already been in trouble and violated his probation. How many chances should he get? Would you prefer he kill someone first? Would that be satisfactory for you?

Robert Downy went to jail. Also,Keifer got a couple of months if I’m not mistaken. Taking drugs and drunk driving is wrong, but puchashing fire arms with silencers shows intent-especially because he is a repeat offender.

Without passing judgment on TI’s case, why would the courts consider a $3.7 million bond. How many americans can meet such a bond. I thought the constitution was supposed to protect us from cruel and unusual punishment.
This is the only part of the stipulation that really got my interest.

My opinion, with all the money fame, and fortune that this man has…
The mistakes he made and how they are gone prtray it in court, and please take a sec and think about this ppl b4 ya’ll go yelling “FREE TI”, and start rocking the shirts….think about:

1. I am sure when he was in jail and got convicted the first time…they TOLD him : “Clifford you are not to be in posseion of any fire arms, controled substances…etc” (So is he above the law, does he not have to obey)

2. A Slicencer….hell the average person with some type of common sense would veiw this as “intent”…and thats what they are gonin to present that as. (…machine guns…collector my foot)

3. You hire someone to do your dirty work…{you have sense enough to get some1 else to do your dirty work, that means you know u not suppose to be soing what your doing) {confused look}

No symthpthy hear whats so ever…and PLEASE lets not make this a race issue ppl….I am black, I live in Atlanta… (adamsville), so Im legit {lol}

Bill,
I know that TI could raise these funds(according to Forbes he made $16million last year). However my point is that i believe $3.7 million is excessive. If a bond is being considered it should be based on the case and the character of the assailant - not on one’s wealth. How much would Bill Gates have to come up with(joke).

T.I., 50, Jay Z and their glorification of violence is the real issue that should be under scrutiny when it comes to hip hop music.

And I include Jay Z too because this whole “American Gangster” concept-movie included- is nothing but glorifying blacks involvement in gangs and the drug trade. Jay Z himself said that maybe Kingdom Come was “too sophisticated” so he resorting back to the more “edgy” content.

When setting bail they are not only setting it for his current offense but take what he was on probation for in the first place into consideration.

You are not talking about a person with a few misdemeanors but a FELON or PAROLE. It doesnt matter what color you are if you are a FELON on probation and you do something that gets the FEDS involved you are going to get no leniency

63.

Friday, October 19, 2007 /

Everybody wanna keep saying the justice system in the “A” wants to keep a black man down.

WELL DON’T GIVE THEM A REASON. THE FEDS AREN’T GOING DOOR TO DOOR SELLING INDICTMENTS, HELLO, WAKE UP!

I love T.I. but that nigga made a dumb move that he needs to pay for. He hasn’t killed anoyone yet but what did he plan on doing with them? YOu got all that money and still want to act like you in the streets. If you feel like your life is being threatened then stay in your mansion for awhile and away from the streets. FALL BACK.

And there is nothing wrong with buying guns but there is something wrong with trying to buy them ILLEGALLY when you are a CONVICTED FELON. DAMN!

64.

Nide

Friday, October 19, 2007 /

t really hurts me to see that people really feels that someone deserves jail, prison or hell as I refer to it. He has come a long way from drug dealing to now reaching millions of people through a trade that he has mastered. Now, dont get it twisted GOD AIN’T THROUGH WITH HIM yet, and he has a lot of growing up to do, but I respect him for the progress he has made. What I don’t respect are ignorant cowards who constantly bring into light the negative about people and dont allow the positive to shine. My prayers are with TI and his children, hopefully he will be out to be with them soon and hopefully he is in there thinking of ways to positively grow and ways to make better decisions in the future.
Incarceration does not rehabilitate, it handicaps. Incarceration is a huge reason why we as African Americans will never fully prosper these men go into a facility which does not counsel them on how to be better. When they are released they are faced with rejection and the inability to move forward. TI needs someone to counsel him on what it takes to be a better man so he can raise those children of his who are the future of African American people. By the way if TI is found guilty then Dick Cheney and John Popper to mention a few Caucasian gun collectors should also be incarcerated. Also for those who say they don’t care cause he doesn’t do ish for us individually, you should care cause he does for us as a people. The fact is when the census bureau results reflect that we african americans are not amongst the weathiest racial group it affects the loans we recieve, our political input and not to mention our growth as a people.

I love me some TI and I am going to reserve judgment until it comes down. I really hope that it is a set up because a known felon who is high profile looking to buy a machine gun through a bodyguard who is rolling on him seems out of this world. I am really hoping that TI’s game is tighter than that.

TI was a hustler before he was a rapper. Either he put his trust in the wrong person or this is a set up. However, as a convicted felon caught in the act of purchasing illegal guns, he shouldn’t be allowed bail. This *SCREAMS* celebrity justice…

Free TI for what? We keep selling dreams to our people, and ya’ll want this dude out of jail for what again? This guy is not a political prisoner, he has done nothing to warrant a Free TI movement, people out here are getting killed daily, and with guns in the wrong hands do you think the killing will stop?

To #70 what does that have to do wtih dumb decisions, that has nothing to do with swag or anything like that, were a threat because we have the genetic potential to wipe out the white race, melanin is powerful and people who lack melanin are genetically inferior to those who have it, the threat is deeper then someone trying to uphold a gangster image, instead of talking reckless on tracks put something positive out there for once, change the mindstate for others who just rely on music for inspiration. Its like TI was getting ready for war.

75.

Have Not Thought of a New User Name

I do not feel sorry for him ! Did ya’ll see those guns! what was he trying to do go to war? For someone who is a felon he should of been a little smarter than what he displayed. Anytime you are a rapper and someone ( a white man in the south especially) that you don’t know offers to get you machine guns you should be concerned.

In California most security guards for celebs who are white men, are normally off duty police officers or former/ retired officers. When they start changing locations get concerned. I thought he would of knew that. But anyways all that is NOT even important because he had no business with all that, I don’t care if he was just trying to brag or show off or whatever.

If he does get jail time out of this, I think this is the path chosen by God. Maybe if he hadn’t went to jail, he would be in the ground by now. He may have been getting the guns to protect himself from somebody. If you listen to his lyrics, he had beef with someone and maybe this is what it took to save his life.

Just a thought

I feel bad for his family, but be for real. if this man would have taken that machine gun and killed some innocent people at a party or a club, would you be so forgiving of him. if this was a regular dude on the street who would have gotten caught with weapons and he was a felon, people would be ready to throw him under the jail. but because he is T.I. then all of a sudden it is a conspiracy. I like T.I. and all but damn………..

Pray for T.I.

Friday, October 19, 2007 /

Everyone please pray for T.I. I am a mothr an dhe was clearly wrong God has blessed Him to prosper and he chose not to obey the law, everyone one reaps what they sow and let this be a lesson to all of you young people who have put all of htese so call high profile people on a pedestal as long as they are winning wards you care nothing about their character.
What was his intent for the guns, and what was his intent for the silencers and what was his intent with all the weaponry in his home, he was acting as though he was still a gangster. I do not wnat to see anynone sons go to jail, but when God has guiven you a chance and you take thing for granted and think yu are too big then you will be brought down.
Maybe t his will be the thing to get him to really turn his life around and allow God to make his life areal blessing.
You all are going to see more than this in these last days because you young peole have made Beyonce, Rhianna, Jayzee, 50 Cent, Kanye , JHud, RKelly, Justin Timberlake your Gods.
I watched the Hip Hop summit on BET and TI said people shoukd be glad he is not doing what he is singing..yea right what is done in the dark will come to the light.
What does anyone plan on doing with assault rifles and silencers?????? Oh, was he still dealing drugs, too??????

$3.7 million cash bond ?? Good land, they could build a jail for T.I. for that.

I know they are trying to make it hard for him to get out on bail, because this is first time I have ever heard of house arrest where they make someone move in with you to monitor you.

I understand the severity of the charges, but most murder suspects, hell, mass murder suspect have less stringent bail considerations.

I have two sons and I have empathy for TI,but I promise you and they know this if they go out and buy assault weapons and silencers and have that many weapons in their home around my grandchildren, I will bring them a Bible to the jail house and contineu to pry for them because they are not insane and they know right from wrong and my sons have never been arrested. Because they know with me this type of behavior along with drug dealing is not acceptable. T.I. was clearly wrong and li8ke the previous poster said lets pray for him, his childrne and their mom. He was wrong. And why are they drug testing him, there are some things you all who say people are hating may not be aware of. He messed up and when he is released he will have to walk the chalk line.

Even though T.I. has the money the bail is steep to say the least. Atleast if he does do time it will be in a federal prison. It’s a cake walk compared to state prison. He won’t have to worry as much basically. I know because…well I just know federal is a better place if you gonna serve time in lock up.

It's Not unusual for the Federal Goverment to charge a person to pay for the house arrest

Friday, October 19, 2007 /

To those who think that the fed’s are being unfair to Ti:

Alleged ’slave couple’ begins house arrest

BY ROBERT E. KESSLER | robert.kessler@newsday.com

Saying that “I don’t think there is anything further to be satisfied,” a federal judge Tuesday released on bail a wealthy Muttontown couple charged with enslaving two Indonesian women 14 weeks after they had been initially arrested in the case.

The couple, Varsha Sabhnani and her husband, Mahender, declined to comment as they left the federal courthouse in Central Islip at 2:05 p.m. nor when they arrived at their home, accompanied by armed private security guards, for whom they are having to pay as part of a bail agreement to turn their home into the equivalent of a prison.

The couple have been in prison since May 14, when they were arrested on charges of enslaving the two women, who they had hired as housekeepers, and also harboring them as illegal immigrants, since their visas had long since expired.

Sources familiar with the bail arrangements say the Sabhnanis, who operate an international perfume manufacturing and distribution business from their home at 205 Coachman Place E., will have to pay as much as $15,000 a day under the terms of their release to home confinement.

U.S. District Judge Thomas Platt, who had originally declined to release the couple on any conditions, was overruled by a federal appeals court, which said that federal prosecutors should be able to craft a set of conditions that would assure that it was unlikely that the Sabhnanis could flee the country before the trial, despite their wealth.

Platt ordered the release after prosecutors said that they believe that the conditions had been met, including an accounting of the Sabhnanis’ assets, which prosecutor Mark Lesko said in court amounted to about $12 million.

Platt set bail for Varsha Sabhnani at $2.5 million bail; for Mahender Sabhnani, $2 million.

Among the other conditions: The home will be guarded around the clock by two armed guards who have the power to detain the Sabhnanis or their children, by using reasonable force, if they believe any of them are planning to flee.

In addition, a monitor, also paid for by the Sabhnanis but also reporting to federal prosecutors, will be stationed in the basement of the home to check on incoming and outgoing communication via the single telephone, fax machine and computer that will be permitted in the home.

The monitor will also check on the cell phones that two of the Sabhnani children, who have severe diabetes, will be allowed to carry. But those phones can only be used in emergencies.

“We’re happy that they’re finally getting out, but they should have been bailed out ,” said Jeffrey Hoffmann, Varsha Sabhnani’s attorney. “They have not been convicted of any crime. The government had stood the system on its head. The government has become the enslaver of those they accuse of enslaving.”

Bharat Jotnani, a spokesman for the Sabhnani family who accompanied the Sabhnanis’ children to court, said, “We are thankful on behalf of the family that finally justice is being served in a way and thankful to Judge Platt.”

But noting that a trial on the charges remain, Jotnani said he did not believe that the Sabhnanis whom he knew were capable of committing the crimes they were accused of.

Mahender Sabhnani’s attorney, Matthew Brissenden, declined to comment.

An official of the Indonesian consulate in New York, Bambang Antarikso, who was present in the courtroom, also declined to comment, as did federal prosecutors Lesko and Demetri Jones.

The two Indonesian women have been cared for by Catholic Charities. Officials there and federal prosecutors have declined to allow the women to be interviewed, citing the upcoming trial.

Newsday staff writer Peter Holley contributed to this story.

The sooner everyone in the entertainment industry starts realizing that there is a responsibility behind being in the public eye, and ear, the better chance we have to keeping our young black people with “stuff” on their minds out of jail. The “industry big wigs” could care less about what artist say as long as the mighty dollar keeps filling their pockets. Freedom of speech is not as free as some think it is. As soon as you tell it like it is in your eyes or your hood you open up the doors for “the power that be” to stereotype and illegitimize your worth. Someone should have told him. Someone should tell them all, before they are put into a victoms seat and set up for a failure in progress. Freedom of speech is like truth and consequences. Anyway, I wish the best for the brother and hope he takes this as a learning experience, not to be repeated or added to.

How can you compare T.I.’s crime (a felon purchasing guns that have no business being in a house with children) to those of Robert Downey Jr and Keifer Sutherland. Their crimes are those of drugs and drinking…more on the path to killing themselves. Robert Downey Jr has already been in jail. Keifer Sutherland, no doubt, is on his way.

With all the money that T.I. has, he felt the need to purchase a machine gun? For what? He’s not in the hood anymore. He’s got security. Doesn’t he know that it’s against the law for someone with a record to own firearms?!

I don’t get everyone sticking up for him…especially when his crime is so blatant. High bail, house arrest, and take away the passport. That idiot deserves whatever he gets. Imagine if he brought those guns into your neighborhoods and someone got killed…who would you be blaming then? It’s beyond me how someone can defend someone else blindly based solely on the color of their skin. You won’t see me defending him. He’s done wrong and he needs to pay.

He’s a 2-time convicted felon lol Plus he’s a complete idiot for conducting illegal business with someone who he’d only known for two months, conducting business over the phone and for having all those unregistered guns in his home.

How do you pray for the release of a man who has a blatant disrespect for the law? He isn’t Mumia, he’s a criminal who just got lucky with rap. Some of y’all are so off lol

Saturday, October 20, 2007 /

There’s a new wave of “making example of celebrities” (i.e. Martha, LilKim, Paris, etc. just to name a few). The courts have for the longest time been of double-standards, and now they are starting to make celebrities responsible for their actions. We, as “normal” citizens should respect that…. regardless of whether we are a fan of their music, personality, etc.

As many stated before, if T.I was simply Clifford Harris, this would not be an issue. We would say this dude deserves to go back to jail. But because he’s a great artist, and he “means well”, does not allow him off the hook. People, we really need to get it together and think about this. Right now you’re still stuck in buying what this artist is selling, and not looking at him as Clifford Harris.

I’m a fan of T.I’s music… just as I am a fan of R.Kelly’s and Michael Jackson (I wont even get started on the other two…). But the difference here is that I can seperate the celebrity from the person… and what’s wrong is wrong. IF in fact he was not set up, he deserves to spend time…

Some of yall can come up with some lame ass excuses blaming the Man for a black man’s misfortune. Puhlease. They only excuses to blame on some body else. Sooner or later the black male will have to carry his own responsibility in any case. And then have the nerve to say, ‘Free T.I.’ my foot! Why should we rally for him did he do anything to deserve that? Clifford is a convicted felon caught with heavy artillery. He didn’t free people in South African with them guns. And his babymother (not his wife) comes along for the ride and get arrested her self right along with him, how clever is that??? That’s brand new to me. If Clifford had any care he would not have brought his girl on a run shows his level of respect and maturity for the woman in his life, and check it out Tiny has to tap into that maturity and respect on her own too. I don’t feel sorry for neither one. If they both get locked up next year who will be watching the kids nope not mommy and daddy. Both of them are reckless, wtf kinda relationship they got going on hmm? Both of them can’t be stupid and be poison for each other and to them kids. Tiny get a clue. Rethink life. Clifford has an even greater responsibility being that he’s a walking and breathing image for the public he is suppose to be a rolemodel. Wasn’t it why they aired him on that BET forum? All he did was forfeit that image when he went greedy and postal Whatever happened to the eye on prize? Smh at all this madness.

It’s difficult because it’s a damn weapon designed for military warfare. What in the hell was he going to do with that many machine guns plus the silencers? This nigga needs to go to jail and do time no matter if he’s a celebrity or not. If you do stupid shit, then you pay the consequences. t really hurts me to see that people really feels that someone deserves jail, prison or hell as I refer to it.

——————————————————————————————————
God put courts and legal systems here for good reason. You think crime is bad right now?? Just imagine what society would be like with NO legal system in place. People would TRULY run amuck - killing, raping, stealing and everything else under the sun with NO CONSEQUENCES. If you really, REALLY think about it, you DO NOT want live in a society where there’s no legal authority.

T.I. needs to serve time for what he’s done. Serving time in prison will be his consequences for this mess. If you take away all or most of his consequences, what incentive would T.I. (or any other criminal) have to change their criminal ways?? Think about it. This man is a twice-convicted felon (some are saying that he’s been convicted SEVEN times). Now he is caught by the Feds years later doing things that got him convicted years ago. That should tell anyone with an ounce of common sense that he hasn’t learned a damn thing from his last convictions. And that’s because he either didn’t serve enough time in jail the last time and/or he has only received a slap on the wrist (probation).

Ironically, prison can be one of the best things to happen to some criminals. Losing freedom for a significant amout of time causes some inmates to truly examine their lives and to make necessary permanent changes. Some do become true Christians and mentors. If it wern’t for prison, many criminals would be dead right now. Chances are, if T.I. hadn’t been caught by the ATF and had gone through with his plans for all of those weapons, many people - including innocent bystanders and even T.I. himself - would probably be dead right now.

One thing you are right about - “GOD AIN’T THROUGH WITH HIM yet”. Looks like God will continue to work on and fix T.I. - behind bars.

BTW: Second Amendment rights (the ‘right to bear arms’) are for US citizens with no criminal convictions. Under federal law, once you are convicted of felonies, you lose your right to bear arms - under ANY circumstances.

I think some people are missing the point here. IF he is actually guilty of this crime, he is a repeat offender with a previous felony charge. T.I. has money for some of the best lawyers in the world, but it’s hard to skate by a situation as serious as this one with out serving any time.

And for all the Black people talking about “free t.i.” please remember that the people who buy illegal guns in our community usually use them on us. We need to stop this cycle of violence where we kill each other with no consequence. Thank God no one had a chance to actually use those guns.

Mobb Deep’s Prodigy: ‘They Tried To Get Me To Set Up 50 Cent’
Published: Sunday - October 21, 2007
Words by Allen Starbury

Prodigy
Photo: Koch Records

Mobb Deep’s Prodigy revealed some disturbing news recently via an interview on DJ Whoo Kid’s Shade 45 Radio show on Sirius — saying that the New York Police Department attempted to persuade the rapper to set up 50 Cent with a gun and drug charge.

Prodigy (real name: Albert Johnson) was sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison early October (see “Mobb Deep’s Prodigy Sentenced To 3 1/2 Years For Gun Charge”), as a result of a traffic stop a year prior (October 2006) where he and producer Alchemist were arrested when police found a .22 caliber pistol in his vehicle (see “Mobb Deep’s Prodigy, The Alchemist Arrested On Gun Charges In New York”).

He blames the hip-hop cops for the sentence, which could have been 15 years because he is a convicted felon. He claims that most rappers are under constant surveillance.

“I had to cop out to 3 1/2,” Prodigy said during the interview. “It’s serious right now. The hip hop cops, they all over us son. They took my bullet-proof truck, they found a lil hammer in my car, so know I gotta do a lil’ 3 1/2.

“I got a long record, but I beat all my cases because they were all illegal searches and this was an illegal search too, but the cops got on the stand [and] they was lying and all kinds of stuff ,” he continued. “I was facing 15 years, so through the cops lying and the judge and the DA (District Attorney), I had to cop out. There was no way for me to win.”

Prodigy sent out some kind words to T.I., who was recently set up by his bodyguard in a sting by ATF Agent (see “T.I. Arrested, Home Raided By Feds In Atlanta “). The Mobb Deep rapper said he understands what T.I. is going through and has seen it first hand — when cops tried to get him to set up 50 Cent, the head of his label.

“Much love to T.I. and his whole family. There is no telling what’s going on right now,’ Prodigy said. “I’ve seen it first hand for myself that the cops is lying. When they locked me up they tried to get me to set up 50 Cent. They wanted me to plant drugs and guns in his car. I was like ‘Hell no, I ain’t doing that.’ They told me if I plant stuff in his car, they would let me walk.”

Suggesting how rappers can stop the hip-hops’ ways, he said “cameras.” “We gotta [start putting] cameras in our cars,” P says. “Every time the police pull you over, you gotta record it, you gotta spend some kinda money to protect yourself. Put cameras in your car and when they pull you over, you press record and everything is recorded, audio and video.”

Prodigy went on to call the attention he and his partner Havoc have received from police profiling, and said its been going on since the early 90s.

“They”ve been investigating Mobb Deep since 1991, I got proof, I got pictures, I got everything they’ve been taking of us since 1991,” he divulged. “We not criminals, we rappers. That’s illegal for them to do that. That’s called profiling, racial profiling. They profiling us ’cause we black rappers and we making money.”

As far as the 3 1/2 years he has to serve, P is taking it as another hurdle to jump over, in a journey to make him stronger.

“They were basically just lying, so it’s all good. I’mma eat that, I’mma do the 3 1/2. I’ll be right back. All they doing is making me stronger, they don’t even understand what they are doing.”

At press time, there is not word as to when Prodigy will begin serving his sentence.

The whole race argument is not even valid in this case. As black people we need to know by now that the system is not working for us, so don’t give them a reason to lock you up. We always want to think we can do what white people can do. Well the reality is we can’t. Look at Michael Vick. We need to be smarter about the desicions we make. You know the system work around it. Yall act like TI was not found with the guns when he knew he was not supposed to have any anyway as a condition of his parole. Cause he is famous and cute means he can do anything he wants to do? I think not. He is not above the law. He is a public figure. He knows they go after public figures so he should have kept his nose clean. I am so sick of my people being so dumb. We gotta wise up, botttom line. TI knew better. He got caught. Oh well. Next time be smarter about what you do.

Wish you luck and a blessing. Stay strong T.I.. I think Judge should give him a break, I think the whole rap world just went to his head and looks like he might have in the wrong position. They should investigate more in what happen and how it all began.

@119…Whats your point? Are you saying TI was set-up… Thats a pretty elaborate set up. your boy prodigy admitted they found a .22 in his truck he’s claiming the searches are illegal not that he was set up. Rappers need to smarten up in regards to the law convicted felon=No guns..Its that simple
