Trey Songz – Can’t Help But Wait
It’s been a long time coming, but finally, Trey Songz’s sophomore album, Trey Day has a release date and is set to hit stores tomorrow, October 2. It took a while, because on MySpace, Songz had been talking about Trey Day since last summer. Although Trey’s debut release, I Gotta Make It was a well put together R&B album that garnered him a lot of fans as well as respect and street credibility, on Trey Day he pulls from a couple of top producers such as Bryan-Michael Cox and The Clutch. His debut was a little spotty, but I think this new release is a good, solid effort.
I particularly enjoy the first single “Wonder Woman” (which didn’t do so well on radio, I think because of it’s weird, long, non-listenable intro – the rest of the song is good, though), as well as the current single, “Can’t Help But Wait” (posted above). Other stand out tracks include “No Clothes On,” as well as “Store Run.” The self-proclaimed Prince of Virginia did good this time around, I just hope the wait for the album doesn’t put a damper on it for the fans.

Still play his 1st CD. Couldn’t take “Wonder Woman”. The song got on my nerves!! I do like “I Can’t Hardly Wait”. I will get the song from I-Tunes or by some other means b/c I’m tired of buying CD’s that are disappointing w/ only 3 songs out of 10-12 worth anything!!!
“Can’t Help But Wait” is a great radio song, much like the Mario song from a few years ago that Ne-Yo wrote.
“Last Time” is a banger yo.

Can’t Help But Wait – The lyrics are well put together, and the song was done the right way.. Sounds like something from the Neptunes.
The Cd is pure fire. Trey’s vocals are great showing his groth as a musician, and the production also great. Go buy this album it is really worth the money. Listen to the tracks “Role Play”, “Fly Together” feat . Jim Jones, and “Missing You” as addition to what Brian said : )

I heard the album on MTV’s the Leak last week and I have been in love with it ever since. It is very well put together. Tthe beats are crazy and the lyrics are straight SEXY. I’m definitely a TREY fan now. I dont mind supporting an artist who puts out quality good music that I cant get enough of which is exactly what this CD is.
Go buy it ya’ll…it aint but 9.99 the first week…he deserves it after this effort!!!

I LOVE it! I am a huge supporter of Trey Songz. This project means a lot to him and his fans. The wait was well worth it, in my opinion. Every single song is amazing!
TREY DAY EVERYDAY!
Sorry guys… but I “Can’t Help But Wait” for the next single. As a musician, I have a different ear for music. This isn’t a bad song, it just isn’t good. He’s about as BORING as Alicia Keys to me right now. I love me some Trey Songz, but I can’t allow myself to get sucked into an album that has to grow on me. I want to love it off rip.
Not a big fan of his but his song “I cant help but wait” is the ish. I wasnt going to give the song a chance because when I heard the beat, I automatically thought it was NeYo whom I cant stand with a passion. Im just glad its Trey who is sing the song. I like it, you go Trey!!
Store Run is a great song. It sounds similiar to Usher’s That’s What It’s Made For” with production from Jam and Lewis. Other potentials hits are Missin You and We Should Be.
I prefer J. Holidays CD.

Not really feeling the I can’t help but wait it does sound like Ne Yo but to me. The other songs I’ve heard is enough for me to support a good artist. His vibrato is so weird to me. Like it doens’t pop in until after the note almost goes flat but not really. Oh yeah I’m also getting that J holiday. Needed some new r&b with all this rap comin g out

I absolutely LOVE the cd…I’ve played it four times already. My faves so far are No Clothes On, Store Run, Last Time (I’ve been playing that for the passed two months) and like two other songs…can’t think of the name. But I know it’s the very last song on the album. Love it!!!

I’m a Trey Songz die hard fan but this CD SUCKS! His first CD sounded really mature with songs like Cheat on you and All the ifs, but this album is childs play. Store run and grub on… come on! It like this nigga didn’t even try to be creative with his shit. I find the album very elementary and I’m about to trade it in for something else. And I don’t like him singing and rapping at the same time only R. Kelly can do that shit. Come to think of it R. Kelly wrote Grub On no wonder! Maybe it would sound good from him but Trey needs to stick to soulful ballads and singing hooks for rappers Girrrrrrrrl Toniiite anyone???
