Jay-Z finished taping a special episode of VH1′s Storytellers titled Jay-Z: Life of an American Gangster. The nearly two hour concert, filmed at Steiner Studios in Brooklyn, will include Jigga performing tracks from his new album American Gangster and giving the audience a explanation of the inspiration behind the songs.
Word is that wifey Beyonce was backstage dancing and rhyming along backstage for support. Gotta love that. Be sure to check out the special episode of Storytellers on VH1 November 8th at 9p.m ET/PT.
The third episode of the hit comedy “Martin” is coming. This has to be one of my favorite seasons – it includes some of the most classic episodes like Martin joining that crazy cult, Martin spying on Tommy to see if he got a job, and RENT EM SPOONS!

I was always on the fence about Tyra. She knows the industry and plays people very well.

I saw Ebony’s exit and I was so sad to see her go because I knew from day 1 that she had great potential and could definitely last long in the competiton but like others have said, it was very noble of her to say it now that she didn’t want to be there other than wait until she’s top 4 and say that. I also agree with the people who said that they didn’t like Tyra’s attitude about it. She started out being support and then ended it kinda snooty like, I can’t describe it. But I am glad that Ambreal got a 2nd chance because she is so beautiful and when both of them were in the bottom 2, I didn’t know who to choose.
My favorites are Saleisha and Heather, the 2 of them are FANTASTIC and I was so happy that Saleisha was called first and that Heather won that special photo shoot, they both deserved it!!

He didn’t hear about the movie, they bought the movie to him. People know what you are talking about when posting. Denzel originally was trying to get Jay to do the official soundtrack in the first place. Ironically Jay will still get paid of of the original soundtrack, it will be distributed through DEFJAM, plus the profits from his own cd. he is in a win win situation, Jay-Z is about his money. Universal knows Jay-Z name alone will bring out more to see the movie. He is teaching Beyonce along the way, Beyonce and Jay-z are the owners of the new 40/40 Club being built in Las Vegas. Keep on sleeping on these two if you want, TI should have dedicated this song to them, they always have big things poppin!

I agree with Ray , JayZ is not going to bring a whole lot of more people to see this movie. I frequent many Oscar and movie boards and people have been dying to see this movie for a LONG time. Most of the people on these boards are filmheads like me and don’t listen to hip hop music ( even though I listen to hip hop music). The only thing that I can see him doing is bringing a few more Urban people to see the movie and that’s about it. People would see this movie Regardless of Jay_Z for four reasons. Even the average filmgoer doesn’t care if Jay-Z is a part of it or not, that actually was a complaint about rappers ( RZA COMMON & TI) ruining the movie. People even said it was going to “suck” because they were involved. BTW the movie is based on an article about Frank Lucas ( years ago) in the NY TImes.
1. Denzel Washington & Russell Crowe ( they bring in the box-office)
2. Oscars-Many Oscar heads are dying to see if this will be a contender the reviews so far are decent, although critics say it is good , but not great.
3.The subject matter-Crime Dramas tend to popular with movie goers look at the Departed.
4. Ridley Scott-This is the man who directed Bladerunner NUFF SAID.
I’m not saying that Jay-Z is not important enough, but the reasons MOST people want to see this film have absolutely nothing to do with him.
Anyway I know some people are dissappointed already because they say it is not violent enough. So if you haven’t seen it don’t go in expecting an action flick.

There is someone (i think it’s Camron) who showed on Youtube how, not only does Jay-z not write his rhymes down on paper, Jay has stolen alot of rappers rhymes from Biggie, Snoop, Tupac, that other old skool rapper with the patch over one eye (I can’t think of his name). There are some more. I was shocked, but glad that information was given.
