With so many TV shows coming at us this season, its almost hard to keep up with everything isn’t it? So it’s good to get a recap once in a while. Starting with one of this season’s most anticipating returning TV shows “The Game”.
Last season, we all know what happened – Derwin (Pooch Hall) cheated on Melanie (Tia Mowry) and she sent him “to the left” (song and all). This season, things continued to heat up as we’ve seen with the last two episodes and Mel has moved out leaving Derwin depressed and mopping his adorable face. Well, the heatwave ain’t over as TV.com reports with this spoiler:
Derwin gets Melanie to agree to go out to dinner with him. Little does Melanie know he is planning a surprise marriage proposal with R&B singer Musiq Souldchild to serenade her. Later, things go wrong when Melanie sees Derwin kiss Drew Sidora (guest starring as herself) on the Music Video Awards. Believing Derwin has played her for a fool once again, an inebriated Melanie tries to sleep with…CONTINUE HERE

Did any of you catch the Salt N’ Pepa show last night? What did you think of it? Did I hear Salt say that she was bulimic at one point and that was one of the reasons she left the group?
Anyway, I thought it was a good watch and the fans at least get to know what the two went through. Hopefully, they will both set apart their differences with another and become the Salt N’ Pepa we once loved…oh yeah, that’s what the show is about right? Eva Pigford (or Eva Marcille, because that is her acting name) guess starred on “Smallville” last week playing an evil bitch. Haven’t we seen her play this role before? Eva played an beauty contestant who had the power to freeze people to death. Yes she is cold as ice and fierce might I add, even with that long hair. Keep watching out for Eva, who is working on a pilot called “The Diva Diaries”…
Speaking of top models, has anyone been watching this new cycle of America’s Next Top Model? Yea me neither…
I actually caught a clip of last week’s episode on youtube, after coming across some of the horrible makeover photos. The model above named Bianca received two makeovers as you can see, because they basically said that her hair was so screwed up, it should be shaved off. In actuality, they wanted to dye her hair blonde with some weave added and since they could not do that, Tyra said razor it off. What’s worse is that they made a wig for her to wear afterwards – so in reality, they cut her hair off so she could wear a wig, thus giving her that blonde look they were aiming for.
Bianca took it like a champ and she still looks beautiful, but the Tyra clan was wrong for that move. Watch Rich make fun of them over at four four.

Honestly, while I do agree… Tyra and nem is getting outta control choppin off every other black chick hair….I also think this haircut knocked Bianca down a few notches. She seemed to be robed in a false confidence based on where she was from, how she thought she looked, and how good of a model she thought she was. The haircut humbled her and NOW she will have to regain a GENUINE confidence by adopting the regalness of the look. I think at that point she just might soar in the competition. Now it will be based on true confidence and not a delusion of Grandeur.

The Game is my show. But I’ve been too busy to watch this season. I’ve caught up on the two past episodes but not in the regular time slot. Melanie hooks up with Malik? Why would she do that? WOw that just sucks. SHe already slept with her college friend.

I checked out Salt n Pepa and I hope that through all of this they are at least able to maintain their friendship – but it seems like Pepa really is in “freak” mode, and that’s not a good look.
That makeover and shaving heads was really extreme for Tyra – it wasn’t neccesary and it seems she just wanted to see how far she could go.
I already didn’t Like Bianca, but when they cut off the ghetto mess she was wearing as a weave I was like THANK GOD. This cycle has finally caught my attention. They’ve got a girl with a touch of autism, the bitchiest bitch Bianca, Ebony, who I personally do not think is attractive, maybe its the baby teeth, or her disgustingly low self asteem. I like to see women who believe they are beautiful, she is bony, and bitchy and insecure, her and Biana will probably make it to the end.

Once I read spoiler, I refused to continue to read about The Game. I will wait…..
I watched SaltnPepa at work online yesterday and it is more interesting than I thought. At this point they do not need to capture the old SNP. Salt said she is free and Pepa could have continue to rap if she wanted to do. I understand how she felt the way Salt left the group without a warning. Instead of going on a reality tv show she should had re-grouped and went solo or find another Salt. Looks like she depended on her. A lesson learn, do not depend on anyone but yourself and GOD.
As far as Bianca, it is sad that her family told her once a female cut their hair they are considered ugly. Which is a terrible thing to say. Bad enough some females worship their hair. Thank GOD she didn’t take that to heart and begun to love her new look. I like it. It fits her. Beautiful young lady.

Malik is fine too. And so is Trey. As a matter of a fact, just about everybody on that show is SEXY. Even Tia Mowrey looks better than she did on Sister, Sister and Wendy Robinson looks better on this show than she did on The Steve Harvey Show.
That’s cool when you have a show where everyone looks good and everyone can act pretty well.

When is that going off the air? Do they have a contract with CW that mandates them to make a certain amount of episodes? I mean, the show is really wack now. I wonder why they haven’t pulled it already. And has anybody been watching The Tyra Show in New York? I haven’t been able to see it but I’m wondering if this season is worth watching. I hope so.

At #18: I agree – Tia and Tamara look better as they age. I never thought they were cute when they were younger, but their faces are seeming to mature.
I just wish I didn’t see them playing college students in a Disney movie made in 2007 the other day. They’ve got to be 28.

The makeovers Tyra gave them, all fitted their face. I dont too much care for the weaves because they look cheap, Those weaves could have been done alooot better…I also dont see anything wrong with a woman cuttin her hair or basically shavin it off…Especially if you have the face and CONFIDENCE to pull it off or if the hair is completely damge and in Bianca’s case her hair was very damage. Since hair grows back…theres no big deal in it. Bianca has the face to pull it off. Tyra is a buisness woman, a down to earth hard workin BLACK WOMAN…she has done alot, includin giving back…the last thing I believe Tyra will do is try to make fun of someone, especially since she already knows what that kind of hurt feels like, which inspired her to do what she does. Pain is Love. Anyways Biance looks beautiful with her short hair and she most certainly looks like a model, I dont care too much for the wig but its cool that she gets an option to wear it short or long. Look at Alex Wek she is beauitful bald and they also place wigs on her as well….its MAJOR in that particular buisness to be able to rock ANY LOOK, to basically have a versatile face. You may not understand but I think Tyra knows exactly what she is doing. I commend Tyra for doin all that she does, Nobody is perfect but she does her best at goin towards it. The salt n pepa show is hilariosuly cute. I am proud of Salt, she has grown into a very mature spiritual woman, its great too see black women wantin to be modest, well behaved and spiritually focus. The world assumes the opposite of black women and dont mind makin fun of those whose choose to be the stero type black woman *cough* New york. Pepa, I love me some Pepa but you can mos def see who decided to grown into a woman and who stills wants to be young and wild. Since Salt is a mother you have to repsect the fact that she doesnt want to be seen as a sex symbol and that she chooses to live for God and her family rather than what ppl think she should be like because of her past. I think Bianca looks really good with her hair cut very low, the wig I am not feeling at all. And even though I love Tyra I think it’s real hypocritical of her to be talking about the baldness gives such a regal look and yet she will never take off her own weave or that ashy Morticia lookin’ wig. something very similar. My boyfriend at the time was trying to go pro, be a pro football player and he was sneaking around with this girl who I thought was my best friend, well this whore. I too was very angry to the point of no return. Needless to say
god knows what is best, it is better to find out, of course now I don’t really trust females, I know a woman could never be my real friend when a man is involved, the only time I really talk to other females is when we are related. Salt & Pepa was good! There was some very good insight on the two of them. Now that they are polar opposite I don’t know how in the world what they are doing is going to work. Pep has had some major plastic surgery but it looks kinda cute on her. But she def has the Jackson nose! But the show was very good I adore the both of them!

I went off, he was replaced by a better man and I never took him back. Ain’t god good. He gets the negative out of your life and replaces it with a positive a better man.
If the model’s hair was badly damaged, isn’t it a good thing to shave it off so healthier hair can grow and she could take better care of her hair. The wig is good if she doesn’t want to sport the short look. I think that was a good idea by Tyra.

The Salt and Pepa show was good. I like when they did the mini concert at the church. next week’s episode should be good as well. I stopped watching America’s Next Top Model, with the exception of Eva and Tocarra, you never even see those girls again.

ANTM- Biancas hair was jacked up (needed to be cut) however her head in the back is flat as a board and they shouldn’t have went that short.

S&P- now wait a minute… I understand Salt finding God. That is beautiful however everyone finds him when they are ready. I don’t think it should be forced and to me it was like she was trying to force Pepa to be somethng that she clearly is not. Let her find God when she is ready and if she never gets ready then that is on her. I watched them on Tyra Banks’ show and Salt did say she has a eating disorder and depression which led her to leave the group. Pepa on the other hand said she was having the time of her life and being in the industry made her at her happiest. Obviously they were in two different places in their lives but the way Salt did it was a little selfish. I don’t think Pepa depended on her but she did expect her to hold up to what they both had accomplished and Pep said she tried to venture out but was constantly turned down hearing that they were looking for the two of them. The reality shows were the only one that would take her solo.

For those of you that had problems with two of The Jena 6 Boys being at The BET Hip-hop awards; I live in Houston, TX and our Hip-Hop radio station 97.9 The Box interviewed them briefly about their appearance and they said that they accepted BET’s invitation because it gave them another opportunity to shed light on what was going on in their case and they also wanted to say thanks to all of the people that supported them (in a mass form) for all of their support.

I watched that episode last week and cringed when they shaved off Bianca’s hair. I’m all for doing whatever you need to do if your hair badly damaged. When my hair has taken a turn for the worst, I load up on the deep conditioners and cut whatever needed to be cut off. And I think they could’ve done something else to Bianca’s hair beside shaving it off. They could’ve easily given her short hairstyle. It just seemed like it was too easy to shave her hair off as opposed to just giving her a pixie hairstyle like they did for Jade in the previous cycle. Bianca still looks pretty with her new ‘do but I don’t think they had to shave her hair off like that.
The Game is getting really good. I love that Malik is in to girls with meat on their bodies. The story lines are getting really interesting.
I did watch Salt N Pepa last night … I was surprised at Salt’s admission to bulemia. Anyway, it’ll be interesting to watch those 2 ladies try to understand each other the way they are now.

Damaged or not…they did NOT have to cut ALL her hair off to get it healthy again. However, with the haircut I can really see how absolutely Gorgeous she is!
