With so many TV shows coming at us this season, its almost hard to keep up with everything isn’t it? So it’s good to get a recap once in a while. Starting with one of this season’s most anticipating returning TV shows “The Game”.
Last season, we all know what happened – Derwin (Pooch Hall) cheated on Melanie (Tia Mowry) and she sent him “to the left” (song and all). This season, things continued to heat up as we’ve seen with the last two episodes and Mel has moved out leaving Derwin depressed and mopping his adorable face. Well, the heatwave ain’t over as TV.com reports with this spoiler:
Derwin gets Melanie to agree to go out to dinner with him. Little does Melanie know he is planning a surprise marriage proposal with R&B singer Musiq Souldchild to serenade her. Later, things go wrong when Melanie sees Derwin kiss Drew Sidora (guest starring as herself) on the Music Video Awards. Believing Derwin has played her for a fool once again, an inebriated Melanie tries to sleep with…CONTINUE HERE

Did any of you catch the Salt N’ Pepa show last night? What did you think of it? Did I hear Salt say that she was bulimic at one point and that was one of the reasons she left the group?
Anyway, I thought it was a good watch and the fans at least get to know what the two went through. Hopefully, they will both set apart their differences with another and become the Salt N’ Pepa we once loved…oh yeah, that’s what the show is about right? Eva Pigford (or Eva Marcille, because that is her acting name) guess starred on “Smallville” last week playing an evil bitch. Haven’t we seen her play this role before? Eva played an beauty contestant who had the power to freeze people to death. Yes she is cold as ice and fierce might I add, even with that long hair. Keep watching out for Eva, who is working on a pilot called “The Diva Diaries”…
Speaking of top models, has anyone been watching this new cycle of America’s Next Top Model? Yea me neither…
I actually caught a clip of last week’s episode on youtube, after coming across some of the horrible makeover photos. The model above named Bianca received two makeovers as you can see, because they basically said that her hair was so screwed up, it should be shaved off. In actuality, they wanted to dye her hair blonde with some weave added and since they could not do that, Tyra said razor it off. What’s worse is that they made a wig for her to wear afterwards – so in reality, they cut her hair off so she could wear a wig, thus giving her that blonde look they were aiming for.
Bianca took it like a champ and she still looks beautiful, but the Tyra clan was wrong for that move. Watch Rich make fun of them over at four four.
i am hooked to the game this season….they are better than girlfriends…girlfriends need to go beg Jill’s ass to come back, cause they are in the toilet, and i’m tired of Joan’s antics…and can somebody tell me why Maya’s not showing yet? Isn’t she suppose to be pregnant on the show, but wearing a lot of tight shit, still, you can’t see a pooch, not even a little one….can you say WARDROBE….
I like the salt and pepa show…seem like it’s gone be good….they truly have a dilemma, and i can see both the ladies points of view.

And damn, look how photoshopped the makeover pic is. I just noticed that in one pic that girl is much smaller, and in the other pic, she’s a little bigger with not so clear skin.
Tyra is a hater, no wonder Naomi wanted to beat that ass…..Tyra is annoying and a bitch. She is always making over some of the black girls and making them look like fools, but giving the white girls the better makeovers in my opinion. I haven’t watched ANTM in a couple of years now, but the girl in the picture Bianca is pretty either way. Tyra really being playing them out though.

I saw the S-N-P show last night and I loved it. It should be interesting to see what happens with them in the long run. The Irv Gotti show was good as well with him and his estranged wife trying to remainly for the kids. It’s gonna be good.

Both she and MISS J are really biased and overly critical of the black models on her show. I’m beginning to believe it was Naomi’s bitchiness toward her back when she modeling that has caused her to dislike other black models in general.
I don’t watch the show, but do read blogs and what they did with that girl Bianca is ridiculous. They could’ve invested more time in her by giving her a decent wig.
The short do isn’t something I’d wear, but it looks good on Bianca.

My sister & I call each other on every commercial during AMTM and we both said we hope Tyra cuts all her hair off and then send her home, still got my fingers crossed shes ugly inside and out, she hates on others but now she can hate on herself silly little beyotch.. I lov Shalisha but wtf did Tyra do to her hair if Tyra would have cut her hair off she could been fierce instead she looks like effing Paul McCartney in his Beatles heyday… one other observation did anybody else notice that Ebonys hair was effed up if NOT MORE than Bianca’s but they worked with her $hit??
It is possible to have colour and a relaxer in your hair at the same time. You just really need to ensure that you maintain and treat your hair. I have a relaxer and the top part of my hair is dyed red. I’ve been red for a little over a year now. Again maintenance is key, and regular hair treatments and you can go with healthy hair. Also limiting the chemical processes is key. Instead of bleaching every 6-8 weeks opt to put a rinse on the hair. That way you still keep the vibrant colour without any further chemical process. And limiting the relaxers instead of every 6 weeks opt for 8-10 weeks
I agree that people can have “healthy” hair with chemicals (well not as damaged as normal chemically treated hair), and I dont think that everyone with a perm has self hatred issues. I am natural (dont use heat or chems), but that doesnt mean I am more enlightened than the next sistah. I think we all need to just respect other people’s choices when it comes to hair. Nobody should be asking people “when are they gonna perm”, and nobody should be asking “when are you gonna go natural”.
i think people need to give tyra a break with this makeover thing. First off biancas hair was very damaged and even before they decided to shave it off I was thinking how are they gonna both reperm and re dye that hair without extreme breakage. The FACT IS, if they wouldve cut less off without shaving it and if they wouldve redyed it and repermed it, it wouldve fell out anyways. And being a victim of hair loss due to a bad perm, its psychological thing. Watching your hair fall out for weeks is way worse then getting it cut off. And at the end your hair grows back and mine actually got alot longer. I have really long thick hair now that goes to the middle of my back and i am all black. You cant do anything & everything to your hair without consequences. Sooner or later bianca was going to be bald atleast this time she can say her hair is like that because shes a model and its edgier.
oh yeah @ #61. I overheard at the hair salon that your not supposed to put the actual track glue on the scalp and you are supposed to put it closest to but on the hair. Because when you put it on the scalp you risk pulling the root out and when you have it on the hair closest to the scalp you just sit conditioner & oil in your hair and after a few hrs the track releases from the hair. I dont know much about weave but you might want to recheck that one incase you’re giving out the wrong information to frequent weaveables.

‘The Game’ is and has been THE show for the past couple of seasons. It’s really juicy with some gorgeous actors(Hosea Chanchez) and some hilarious writing(Wendy Racquel Robinson). Mara Brock Akil has done it again,move over ‘Girlfriends’.

As a fan of Salt&Pepa I have to disagree with those who feel that it was one member over another who made the group what it was! Salt &Pepa were a package,and together they were a dynamic duo and force to be reckoned with. I caught the last few minutes of the Salt &pepa show,and have seen preview snippets leading up to the first episode,and have to say that so far I like it. I plan to watch a rerun of entire episode this evening. I ‘ll pass on that I luv NewYork bullshyt, but tune in for the Salt &Pepa shpw because it doesnt appear to be scripted.It s as real as the Real world used to be when it first came on the sir years ago.
We get to see what the ladies have indivudually have been going through, what caused the break up of the group, and how they mend their friendship ,and possibly rap career ,by compromising without losing too much of who they currently are in the process! Whether your a long time fan of the group( I am) watching them work this thing out will still be interesting,because they are humans leik thre rest of us with complex issues like many of us! Salt is now a woman of God(Christian) who appears to be comfortable with her new lifestyle ,even if its away fromt he public eye,and Pepa misses and still enjoys the fame associated with being a member of Salt &Pepa. Salt is a changed woman obviously.Pepa is still kinda “out there”.

Bianca looks 1000% better with the baldie….that ghetto ass red hair was NOT a good look for her. She looked like an aardvark or something. Hopefully this was a humbling experience for her because the way she was coming for Saleisha was very grand!

Tyra is one scissor happy woman. I understand if the girl’s hair is really messed up, but some seasons she has had those girls go to extremes. Not even just the black girls, because I remember when Tyra told that one white girl with the really long brown hair to cut it all off and go bleach blonde. And then once they did, she wanted them to cut off more! The funny part is that the girl who wins always seems to be the one whose look they barely changed.
