Here is the latest info on the Clifford ‘T.I.’ Harris arrest via Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
Rapper T.I., who was arrested over the weekend on federal weapons charges, was ordered to remain in custody at least until Friday, during a brief appearance in federal court Monday afternoon. But his attorneys say they aim to exonerate him on all charges.
A federal magistrate said he must remain in custody for now. Prosecutors are asking that T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., be held without bond until his trial, which could be several months away.
U.S. Magistrate Alan Baverman scheduled a hearing on Friday to determine whether there was probable cause for Harris’ arrest and whether he will qualify for bond before trial.
Harris was wearing a black shirt and black pants, with his hands cuffed and his legs chained, when he was led into the courtroom.
He made eye contact with family members and sat in front of them.
He answered “Yes, sir,” and “Yes, your honor,” when asked if he had been provided a copy of charges against him and whether he understood the charges. [ READ MORE ]

I love TI and have been so close to tears all day. He was set up and for what…being a Great Black Man! I have been praying for him since I heard the news and I live right around the corner from where he was arrested. God is with him and TI will get through this.

He didn’t know how much of a bitch this dude was until now. But what a way to find out.. TI told the bodyguard to bring the guns to the studio and the bodyguard insisted that TI go to a parking lot on North Ave. to make the transaction there. That should have been a sign that something wasn’t right. That dude works for you so why is he telling you where to meet him? Dumb Ass!

Bill he went to court today but was denied bail for now. I hate to say it but I don’t think TI is going to beat this one. I’ve read the affidavit and the evidence is overwhelming.

I do believe that people do make mistakes. But in those mistakes, there are consequences. With Little Kim, With Michael Vick. And yes, with T.I.
Particularly when it comes to black folks, right or wrong we have to be extra careful. There are Certificates of Relief and or Rehabilitations for restoration of gun rights. Bottom line, these are the rules you have to follow. Sure, everyone gets their hustle on. But it is neither cute or fun when you are risking your freedom and livelihood (whether you are an entertainer or a day laborer) on getting some silencers and assault weapons.
Perhaps this is a wake up call for him. And as for your bodyguard snitching, hell everybody isn’t Greg Anderson, who is going down like a G for Barry Bonds. They are just not. And I would bet the farm that most people would plea if the opportunity presented itself.

This incident really makes me sad for many different reasons. “If you live by the sword, you will die by the sword” is certainly true in this case.You cannot be involved in a shady lifestyle and not expect to be burned by it. Hopefully, TI will learn from this. However, I am sad that another black man may be going to jail. We’ve got too many in jail as it is. We have got to learn to do right no matter what the costs. Let’s be in prayer for TI and his family and our black men at large.
Tiny was released the other day and from my understanding according to Sandra Rose Tiny and TI are expectng again. If this is true I wish Tiny well with this pregnancy.

When it come to news media you can’t believe everything they say, cause most of the stories are one-sided. More than likely, TI will not talk about this until his trial. The smart thing to do. This is the only way we are truely going to know what happens and his side of it. So until then, I feel he is innocent.
I went downstairs to TI’s initial appearance and he tried to look strong. His eyes welled up when he saw his mother and other family members. Trial was scheduled to begin at 3 but it took awhile to settle everyone down and get “most” of his family seated. Many couldn’t remain in the courtroom b/c there is no standing allowed. Tiny didn’t get there until right when they were leading him back out. When they told him he had to stay in custody until Friday, he was visibly upset but he held his head high like a man. Now, let me be the first to say that I am praying for him, but in my experience he made one very grave mistake: agreeing to meet a so-called employee at a freaking parking lot to engage in illegal activity. LOL. Basically, it shows willful intent. Once this bodyguard said he couldn’t come to the studio, a BIG RED FLAG should’ve gone off and he should’ve walked away and told him “get back at me when you CAN meet me at the studio”. I can’t believe he fell for this. He should’ve know better even from his drug dealing days. It’s just ridiculous and this may REALLY cost him some time. There is no such thing as being sentenced to “just” probation on federal charges…he may plead or whatever but he’s probably looking at some time. I say probably b/c at the end of the day it’s all up to the jury (hope he’s luck in that area). Best wishes TI!!!!
