Most of Jay’s old stuff talked about dope slangin and living the high life off of it. Plain and Simple.The man knows what real hip hop was about and it was truly not about those those elements. I think he is tired of being in a box musically.
My suggestion to you is to listen to BDP’s “Love’s Gonna Getcha”. You really need to hear some real hip hop and cleanse your ears of all that Dope Boy Fantasy Rap.

I HATE JAY-Z, he looks straight up like a turtle, thats not even the reason, his voice sucks, its way to basic, its like he shows no emotion when he’s rapping.. Beats are nice.. HOVA MY ASS, who the **** does this ched think he is? Lupe fiasco is clearly better then him when it comes to it lyrically, I mean I listened to his starting verse, its not that great

30 seconds of this video made me nostalgic for “Don’t Knock the Hustle” which had a similar video of New York City streets, cars ridin’ etc. If he’s biting anyone, it’s himself.
