Don’t get me wrong…I am by no means a hip-hop head or an authority on lyrics. I’m a 34-year old grown ass man with my own shit I have to deal wit and this nigga Jay-Z ain’t paying none of my bills, so I could really care less. OK…now with that said…I read through the comments of people saying he’s whack and I ask myself…if he is whack, who is supposed to be “the shit”? All the current shit I hear on the radio is mostly about dances and other dumb shit. So, if nothing else the nigga Jay-Z is spitting more clever shit than the current bullshit that’s being forced on us via the “mainstream” air waves. So, again…not that I’m an expert…I’m just curious to hear from some of the people posting that Jay-Z is whack…who then from the mainstream should we look to for good material as far as Rap music?
