Wow reading all of these comments has somewhat helped me. My bro is battling an addiction and it is VERY VERY hard on the family. U get angry, then sad and u want to disown them but when u are living it, it is very hard to turn away. For those of you that do not have this situation happening to a family member or even a close personal friend thank God! He has really blessed you and yours. I still thank God for my bro and my life becuase as strange as it sounds things could still be worse. Anyways I will pray for Mario because I really now what its like to be in that situation. And I commend him for being candid- often family members are ashamed of this situation in their family (I often have this feeling myself about my bro).
Cheers…
so what mario’s mom was on crack good thing I never met her or I would run through her myself. hell we all got dope fiends in the family.
#35. You are a senseless FOOL!!! No one is perfect. So if Mario wants to express love for his MOM!! Let him. **** You might FALL!! Maybe not to drugs but something else!!.
i think nick cannon gay.. dude can’t keep a woman for nothin’. or maybe no woman takes him seriously.. lmao.. another lame azz n*gga
aww thats so sad. i love me some mario. talented young black man. i wish him all the best. the show looks like its gonna be really good.
Sorry to say this but his mother is a COLD HEARTED BITCH!!
She doesnt deserve a child, never mind a son who is successful and caring and so loving.
She makes me sick
This has to be hard for the brother — here he shuld be celebrating his success and talents and he is carrying such a heavy burden. Addiction for anyone you love has to be hard, but especially so when you are watching your mother kill herself slowly.
Oh my goodness!! I almost cried for him wiith the little tear coming down. Is it bad that I still couldn’t focus on the subject because of how good he looks, lol?
But seriously, I couldn’t imagine what that is like. I will be adding Mario and his mommy to my prayer list. Poor poo-poo!!
smh my thing is why make a show out of it??????
makin a show jus publicises the situation it is not takin the crack pipe frm her it possibly consequently is makin her more famous nd given her money nd more access to needles, hopefully she’ll see herself on tv nd stop shootinn up (if she is evn really on dope)
but doesnt mario have an album coming out soon?!? didnt he jus drop his new single “crying out for me“!?! you can be fooled by his marketing techniques not ii!!! dis is NOT mario tryin to help his mother out at all [dis is mario da business man]
This goes out to MOGUL_ in_the_Making:
It’s not as easy as it seems to watch someone you love kill themselves slowy.. When your mother, father, sister, brother or best friend is a serious herion or crack addict, please come back to this site and tell everyone how easy it is to give up on the person you love. PLEASE, PLEASE come back to concreteloop and tell everyone that you had NO PROBLEMS dealing with a close family members addiction. I would love your advice, so I can help my brother, friends and co-workers… PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASER, tell me how you would do it?? Cause I know, that you MUST be GOD and have all the answers??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
On a another note:
You do/must eventually give the person you love ( addict ) tough love, even if it means letting them walk the streets, getting arrested, kicking them out or not having any contact with them. It is truly up to them to get the help they need..they have to be READY and the awful fact is that some people are never ready. In saying that, no matter what kind of tough love you give the addict in your life.- YOU WILL NEVER,EVER STOP THINKING ABOUT THEM OR WORRYING ABOUT THEM..it’s IMPOSSIBLE. Addicts are selfish people but that’s not who they really are..it’s just the drugs that turn them into a Monster. … TRUST I KNOW.
Blessings to anyone who is dealing with this issue or has dealt with it in the past.
Love & Light Always
I’m sorry but homie is STILL cornball as hell. And I hate when celebs use their ‘trump’ card (i.e. drug addiction, molestation, etc.) to drum up media attention… Get the fuck outta here! We all dealing wit shit!
I have read all the comments that people have sent alot of them judgemental. Some of them may be true. I dont think he intentually ment to use this as a sales tacted and I can see how that conception could come about. However his mother has a serious problem. No reality show nor the love & devotion of her her son is going to help her she needs a whole loft more than that. She hates her self and is on a sucide mission. She Needs the Lord, deep therapy and needs to learn to love her self first before you can get any progress. Remove her from her enviorment not meaning rehab. Mario needs to take some time out and deal with this personally and privately or wash his hands of it totally if he chooses to remain sain. The two of U cant do it yourself. Remove as many resources as u can. She is going to hate u. But @ the end she will love u and herself. Dont put this on tv . If u have kids They dont need to no this about their grandmother. Its ok to keep your suppotive friends updated of your possitive progress. Then once u fix your own family problems u and yr mother should help others. Starting with those fans thats going through the same problems and still find time to support u.
THAT’S SO SAD… HE MADE ME WANNA CRY @ THE END…MARIO ALL I GOTTA SAY IS KEEP YOUR HEAD UP & TYOUR MAMA IS GOING O BE O.K.!! AND IF YOUR READING THIS I JUSS WANNA SAY THAT I LOVE YOU MARIO & YOU CAN SANG… I BEEN IN LOVE WITH YOU SINCE THE MOMENT YOU CAME OUT WITH A VIDEO TO JUST A FRIEND..YOUR BIGGEST FAN *DOROTHY JARMON*
TO 35….. YOU ARE A ,DUMB ASS BITCH U SOUND SO STUPID!! DO YOU HAVE A MOTHER?? IF SHE WAS ON ROCKS, CRACK WHATEVER YOU WANNA CALL IT.. WOULD YOU JUSS LET HER DIE?? THINK ABOUT IT MAN!! & I’M SURE HE HAVE NO SYMPATHY FOR YOU EITHER SWEETIE!!
Although I can feel his pain(my father was a heroin addict from the age of 17 until his death at 46) I would not have told the public. I hope he really wants to get her help and this is not a publicity scheme to sell more records ( record labels dont give a damn) It just seems odd that he had been going through this all this time and never talked about it, now his album is getting pushed back and he’s on MTV telling it all. Showing the whole world that she is an addict will only piss her off when she gets the back lash after the show airs, my mother went on Oprah with my father’s story and all hell broke loose. Sad.

May god be with you and your mom.. i will keep you in my prayers. and old fan,,,,,,,,,
Mario, I understand perfectly well what you are going through. I have a sibling that has two small children; a 8 year old daughter and a 10 year old son. It’s very sad when I see them; when I pick them up after their mother have left them home alone with the ill father. Her 10 year old son is usually in tears and her daughter is holding back tears. You mother reminds me so much of my sister; they sleep all day for days after the rest they get up and leave for days. Mario, you are soooo special; I’m proud of you; I’m proud that you didn’t hide what you are going. My neice and my nephew tuned in to watch your speical about your mother; it help me to explain to my niece and nephew that the are not alone. I told them you made it despite the odds. Both my neice & nephew got a better understanding of what their mother is goining through, they also didn’t feel so alone; I told them if you can (Mario) make it they can also make it; I told them to stop crying and pray. That is the only thing left now is to pray. I love you Mario; stay strong I’m with you.
