I was excited when I saw that Tweet was releasing a new album, Love, Tweet. For a long time, she has been one of my favorite artists, and Southern Humming bird will remain a classic to me. But upon downloading the new song to sample it, I realized that it was the same song that I’d posted about a month ago with Ciara and T.I. I lifted an eyebrow. Not only did I not like that Ciara version, I wondered why Tweet would choose this song as a first single for her upcoming album.
I was thoroughly disappointed, hoping this version of the song would give me something else, but it didn’t. It still drags to me and the vocal stacking clashes for me. I’m very disappointed. But it wouldn’t be fair to say that Tweet is famous for this. She always releases a single that differs drastically from the bulk of material of her album. I hope I can get some more of that classic Tweet sound.
So you know now CL has to ask you a question… who sang it better?

Wow! There has been a lot of people throwing so much hate at both of these BLACK FEMALE SINGERS. They are both great in their own respects. I am personally a TWEET FAN. However, the name of this is WHO SANG IT BETTER, not who do you like better. For the purpose of the song ONLY. I feel that Ciara sang it better. It is more her speed.
Tweet’s soulful and smoky voice has more to offer than this specific track. TI should be removed from singing either way. I’m out! Can’t wait for that album Tweet!

Ciara’s version is waaaaaaay better, to me. People have different taste. But some of yall need to stop being music snobs. Ciara and tweet do two different things. I’m not a fan but tweet is cool. Ciara kills it. But for somebody who supposedly can’t sing, Ciara sure does sell a lot of cd’s and concert tickets.

YALL HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME…. I love Ciara but she clearly got spanked by Tweet on that track, which is not as bad as ya’ll make it seem…. If this is just a sample of what Tweet has coming, I think her album is gonna be a good listen. I think obviously Ciara is better as an artist, but Tweet’s voice clearly fits the track better!!!!!!!!!

I just heard both tracks this weekend – I’m SOOOOO late!
In my opinion Ciara’s version is better. She sounds like she’s actually singing to Tip, and the vocal stacking just highlights that. Gives it a really different sound.
Plus – Tip’s voice reminds me of listening to my boyfriend trying to sing. I love it.
Tweet’s version makes me wonder why Tip is even on the track. Her voice (and the production) drowns him out completely. She has a beautiful voice, but on this song it’s overkill.
Ciara’s track is HOT!
I have to say that the females on this vocal selection are fine and yes the vocal stacking clashe so badly that it reminds me of my father singing horridly along to a R&B song on his way to work.I hate T.I’s part point blank. I love the rubber band man but singing at his forte’. If Tweet does decide to leave this on her albu she should definitely take T.I off. Add somebody like T-pain maybe.

Tweets voice is better so I would say that as far as the verses, Tweet sounds better. But Ciara sounds better on the chorus.
