ALicia Keys is so talented and sexy, and beautiful. I am a Jamaican and enjoyed her performance so much. ANyone from the Caribbean would have loved it. That shows that she is a fan of reggae music, not just the hot reggae singer at the time. I have alwayz love Alicia Keys. As Blair Underwood said, she is a rare musical genius.

She was recognized for her accomplishments and her status as well as how many albums she sold over seas in other contries throughout the world. See what ppl fell to realize is that USA only makes up about 1/3 (I could be wrong) of an artists album sells. And there has been no other female artist who has worked as hard as B (2 years in a row doing concerts on her birthday), thats why she deserves that award. and it’s not a lifetime achievement award….but most artist wont ever recieve in there lifetime

I watched the show and actually enjoyed it.

Alicia hands down best performance of the night! She flipped No One right brought out all those reggae hit makers and showed off some fly dance moves get em girl! Once again her CD will not disapoint if you don’t have it you are truly missing out!

Queen did her thing Rhianna suprised me sounding pretty good but she and Neyo together is kinda boring.

I do think that some people are forgetting the key words of this award. International Artist . Why is Mariah, Whitney, Celine Dion, being brought into this when they ar eclearly noting Beyonce’s accomplishments not only throughout her career but this year as well. If they felt she was deserving of the award, then that’s that. Neither of the other artists mentioned did it this year like Beyonce, did you even see the stats? Did you see how many countries she was touring, and how many people went out to her shows? Do you see how many people she has reached through her music. She flipped that ish, and brought her music beyond radio, television, and concerts. She brought it to phones, perfume, television ads, anything you can think of she transcended her music, and what it is to be a top notch performer these days.

She took R n B and brought it to countries that you couldn’t even imagine other artists doing at the ag of 26. She’s been in the game for ten years, and managed to stay relevant and keep her nose clean, all the while still being an International Artist. She performs her a.ss off, and carries herself well. Yes there hav e been other artists, but Beyonce has worked her a.ss off, she takes nothing for granted, and she truly deserved her award this year. 180 magazine covers, ? And some of those magazine covers are in another language (International Anyone???) Millions and Millions of albums sold, 5 Million people attended her massive concert this year??? Over 30 countries toured, and sold out dates in the states as well. And she didn’t deserve this award?? ,SHE WAS INDEED THE INTERNATIONAL ARTIST !! Look at those key words and what she has done and you will see that she deserved it.

I think Beyonce is a role model because she inspires “girl power” also.
