I didn’t see the show…opted out this year, but I must say that Beyonce’s outfit (with the leather jacket) is hot. I LOVE those shoes! And congrats to her on the artist of the year award. Haters will say she don’t deserve it, but we all know she does.

For those of you who didn’t see it … You didn’t miss much. The only thing that was actually good was the Alicia Keys performance. I’m not a fan of reggae but the crowd was loving it. My only problem with her … She wears WAY too much makeup ALL the time.

Beyonce - Meh … that country version of Irreplaceable was excrutiating to listen to and even worse to watch as Beyonce tried to oversing the woman who was supposed to be singing it.

Mary J was amazing as usual.

Jimmy Kimmel being drunk was pretty funny.

Ok, the show was boring ass hell last night with the exception of Mary J., Beyonce, and Rihanna she sound really good while signing umbrella…Alicia Keys did a great jobs she looks like she lost some weight and that was the first time I ever saw her dance (I didn’t know she could dance) but I’m not in to the whole reggae thing. It’s weird but she seemed ober straight to me all of a sutton (too much tanning spray though) and it made the mystery that surrounds her fade for me. I think Beyonce beauty show more beauty because Jayz wasn’t on her arm and her thing with Sugarland was so funny but it sound really good. I listen to country from time to time, but that performance with Sugarland was not good. I just was sitting there quiet, flipping back and forth waiting for it to end.

I was on the road, so I missed the show, but I will catch all the performances on youtube. I watched Beyonce’s already, and she did fine. She holds her own on the stage with any one in any genre. She seemed genuinely humble and gracious in receiving that award. Girlfriend gets a lot of flack on the net, but no one can ever say she doesn’t work hard for her money. She has the respect and adoration of her industry peers, and the big wigs, and I think she’s solidified her status as a legend 25 years from now. I loved the dress and her makeup, and that performance outfit was BAD!!! She killed those shoes!

Rihanna was a disappointment. She’s usually the baddest on the red carpet, but this de-constructed frock just doesn’t cut it for me. Not really feeling the hair either, but her makeup is nice. Her hair looked like a lop-sided wig!

Solange was another no go for me. Everything about her look, with the exception of the shoes is too poofy!

I can’t wait to check out Alicia’s performance. I am really loving her these days!

First off, Beyonce is surely wearing butt pads. How do you go from having a flat ass one minute to being plumped? When she had those jeans on there was nothing there. This is not the first time Beyonce has exposed herself. You can look at the picture and tell she is padded up.

Regardless if it was a lifetime award or international, there are females that came before her that HAVE accomplishished more than she has that deserved that award. Beyonce is officially the most overrated artist in history. She receives recognition for the simpliest things. Popularity does not make you any more talented than the next artist. And that flinging of the hair was far from a humble move.

Those awards are bought and paid for. If you father was on the Grammy Board you would have as many awards as she does. You notice that when she gets all of these awards, but people who have been in the musice industry a long time never really comment on how great she is musical. You always hear about her beauty and sexiness, but never really hear about her talent alone. Simon Cowe is the only one that has had the courage to call her out. Beyonce looked good but I don’t see how she can win that major award before Mariah, Whitney, Madonna, Celine, Janet. Those ladies have had longevity and hold major records. I would think Bey would need more longevity to be placed above those women, but guess not.

I do think that some people are forgetting the key words of this award. International Artist . Why is Mariah, Whitney, Celine Dion, being brought into this when they ar eclearly noting Beyonce’s accomplishments not only throughout her career but this year as well. If they felt she was deserving of the award, then that’s that. Neither of the other artists mentioned did it this year like Beyonce, did you even see the stats? Did you see how many countries she was touring, and how many people went out to her shows? Do you see how many people she has reached through her music. She flipped that ish, and brought her music beyond radio, television, and concerts. She brought it to phones, perfume, television ads, anything you can think of she transcended her music, and what it is to be a top notch performer these days.

She took R n B and brought it to countries that you couldn’t even imagine other artists doing at the ag of 26. She’s been in the game for ten years, and managed to stay relevant and keep her nose clean, all the while still being an International Artist. She performs her a.ss off, and carries herself well. Yes there hav e been other artists, but Beyonce has worked her a.ss off, she takes nothing for granted, and she truly deserved her award this year. 180 magazine covers, ? And some of those magazine covers are in another language (International Anyone???) Millions and Millions of albums sold, 5 Million people attended her massive concert this year??? Over 30 countries toured, and sold out dates in the states as well. And she didn’t deserve this award?? ,SHE WAS INDEED THE INTERNATIONAL ARTIST !! Look at those key words and what she has done and you will see that she deserved it.

I think Beyonce is a role model because she inspires “girl power” also.
