I heard the entire album and I like it! Every song (even the ones I don’t like), sound very well thought out and delibrate as if she just did’nt focus on a few good songs and throw in a bunch of album fillers. She worked hard on it. You can hear that. And as a music buyer, I can appreciate that.

I don’t understand however why people have to downplay all other artist to build one up. If your an Alicia fan, just say you like the damn album. No need to criticize other r&b artist or make Alicia out to be some musical genious. She’s still growing and learning as an artist. She is just as marketed as any of her contemporaries, however, her heart is in what she does and she gives her fans her all and that makes her worth listening too.

Some people are talking straight out there ass trying to build alicia up. Comparing her to Sarah Vaugn?? Ae you serious? You can tune a musical instrument to Sarah Vaghn’s voice. She’s one the worlds premiere jazz vocalist. There’s no comparison. Alicia isn’t even that type of vocalist. I think if SOME of you need expand your music horizon’s you will find that there are alot of incredible singers, songwriters, musicians and vocalist making real music. They just don’t always have major record labels behind them and “star quality” to package it with. It doesn’t mean Alcia’s irrelevant, but it does mean she’s not the end all be all. Stop trying to make her into something she’s not. Let her be the next Alicia. I know she did it to herself, by having J records market her as a musical genouis and comparing her to the greats, but I think people just need to appreciate her for what she is. And also go cop Jill’s, Angie’s and Chrissette’s CD’s because they’re crazy too. There’s room enough for everyone.

I agree with you @chillin in ny. I just dont understand why some peope have to talk about AKeys like shes shit just to say they dont like her sound. Of course there are better artists,but to some she is the best. Why does that opinion of her make other people so upset? I am not a big fan of the perfect voice. I know some people will be sick but I do not like Mariah Carey at all. I love Mary, I love Chaka, I love Gladys,I love Jill and Patti. Screaming off key Patti too. Its just how they make me feel. I liked Dolly Partons version of “I Will Always Love You” more than Whitneys because I watched her sing it in “The Best Whorehose in Texas” over 100 times and it made me cry every time. But, I would never tell someone who likes Whitneys better that she was just another swaggerjacker screaming R&B singer. People like what they like and I think its wrong to try to force your opinion on another person. If we could all see that then we wouldnt have this “hater” “stan” thing going on every post.

Love Lesson Learned and love John Mayer on the song as well….going through a breakup now and this song speaks volumes for me!

“Lesson Learned” is the hottest song on her new album, I like the fact that she enlisted John Mayer, them together make wonderful harmonies. I like her other songs, “reckless love” and “teenage love”. She really did a good job this time around with this album, very solid. Even though I found this album online and burned it, I will be a best buy next Tuesday to purchase this album.

Everyone needs to check out Wreckless Love, Like You’ll Never See Me Again, Where Do We Go From Here, Lesson Learned, and Superwoman. Deep tracks. I smell another load of Grammy Awards for Ms. Keys. She already got nine.

Some of you guys are little harsh..you guys are comparing Alicia’s music to no-soul artist..she has more of a contemporary R&B sound than Neo-Soul okay we got that taken care of…i’ve heard the album and it’s okay..I might have to hear it agin to get a final judgement though..but Alicia is my girl.I love Neo-soul R&B too esp the artist that Nikki posted but however the styles are different from Alicia
