NE-YO speaks with BIG TIGGER on 95.5
Ne-Yo spoke with Big Tigger on his radio show on Tuesday about being dropped from the R.Kelly ‘Double Up’ tour earlier this week. He said it was foul the they dropped him and it kind of takes it personally. Here are the main points:
- On the Columbus, Georgia stop R.Kelly took over 7 dressing rooms. And Ne-Yo had to fight just to get one.
- No one could be in the hallway while R.Kelly was walking through.
- Concert reviewers were giving Ne-Yo great reviews and R.Kelly must have taken offense.
- Ne-Yo was suppose to get 4 hours to rehearse his set, but they tried to kick him off the stage in 2.
- He also speaks on the Keyshia Cole rumor.
Talk about effed up! Anyway, in a press release earlier this week Ne-Yo apologized to his fans about not being able to perform for them.

Ok I can’t listen to the interview now (I’m in school) but from all what I heard about the situation I just think R.Kelly felt jealous because Ne-yo was getting more attention then he was, and kicking him off the tour is not going to help him and its not fair because alot of people from different cities might have paid only to see Ne-yo and not for Mr.R Kelly

I’m from the Chi and I see him all the time, He plays basketball at the same Gym I work out at and he didn’t want to pay to play he will show up with like 10 guys and expect to get the gym for free and let his boys in too. When they made him get a membership he threw a fit and was really condisending to the staff.
7 Dressing rooms for what he was being a bitch really and Ne-yo leaving the tour was probably a good thing for you hell your almost Headliner status your damn self.

I am a fan of Ne-yo and I love J Holiday to pieces, but I refused a long time ago to support this tour. It is coming to DC this Sunday and I’ll pass on it. I liked the “12 Play” R Kelly circa 1993, before he was pissing on teens, now his music sucks.

That is really sad. SMH. Ne-Yo should’ve headlined his own tour like he did back in the spring. He’s big enough to have his own show and if Keyshia really did back out of performing because she wanted to go after Ne-Yo, she needs to be slapped. I went to the concert and it was awesome. I really do wish that Ne-yo would’ve been there becuase that was the whole reason that I bought a ticket. We didn’t find out until the last minute that Ne-yo wasn’t going to be there. Keyshia was very short with her performance like she didn’t want to be there, at her after party shw was suppose to sign autographs and take pics. She only stayed for 23 mintutes and was paid 11k in cash! There was some made people in that club and it cost $20.00 to get in. I love Ne-yo and I back him 150%!!!!!!!

What is really going on??? I believe that R. Kelly should not have the right to perform any longer. What kind of message is being sent out. It’s O.K. to have sex with minors, our children but it is O.K. for one to perform and charge a fee and pay you? Please! R.Kelly, Michaeal Jackson need to sit down. They deserve nothing! Everything they have (monetarily wise and anything they have that is worth something) should go entirely to all the victims. I am a Mom and do not respect anyone doing what they have done.

Like I said, the whole story with Keyshia Cole not performing in Columbus was yet to be told. She is not as much of a “gentleman” as Ne-Yo, and she took offense to no dressing room and all of R. Kelly’s rules, and told them so.
I think RKelly selected this line-up because he thought they could bring in some of their fans and some extra $$$, but that they would not be a “threat” to him, and think he really didn’t understand Ne-Yo’s talent or fan base. Ne-yo is all over the place right now, and then to be on the AMAs performing and have a few videos out right now, may have been too much for Robert’s fragile ego. Same thing happened on the tour with Jay-Z. And they should have listened, Jay-Z said he was a little crazy like that.

I have seen Ne-Yo perform before, and he is a really excellent artist. I was glad I didn’t purchase a ticket to this show, because I would really be upset if I couldn’t have seen him perform. Although I wanted to see J. Holiday… none the less, I can’t believe that beyond being stars, grown people, acting like elementary/ middle school age kids… sad. But I am glad Ne-Yo is handling it professionally, this will only continue to make his life show brighter, as we watch R. Kelly’s quickly diminish and flicker out…
