Although it seems as though Chris Brown is suffering from a sophomore slump, considering that his first single “Wall to Wall” didn’t take off like the label thought it would, “Kiss Kiss,” featuring and produced by T-Pain is now #1 on iTunes and gets great radio play. On Exclusive, Chris decides that he’s going to show a bit more of his mature side, and has explored his talents with producers and writers such as the Underdogs, Jazze Pha, the Dream, the talented Bryan-Michael Cox, and Sean Garrett, just to name a few.
The album features cameos from Kanye West, Lil’ Wayne, T-Pain, The Game, Big Boi, and Will.I.Am, of Black Eyed Peas fame. The first album will be a CLASSIC forever and always, but I’m excited about “Exclusive” too! People have been badmouthing him for months and “Kiss Kiss” is now #1 on the charts. Overall it gets a 6/10 —And No I’m Not Hatin’, Just Listen For Yourself!And I MEAN LISTEN, not just be like “oh, he’s my boo”, that doesn’t make it a “GOOD” CD!
Chris is talented but I’m not feeling him this time around.
I forgot one, “I’ll Call Ya” fits in the Category, of what you can listen to, if you want..
Not feeling this album at all. The beats are hot but the dude can’t sing and the lyrics are trash
“Take You Down” for instance is a mess. He says the same shit on repeat throughout the whole song, and I don’t want my 10 year old daughter singing lyrics about fucking.
“Nice” is hot song with some good lyrics.
And why is it necessary that he has a guest rapper on half of the songs on the album? There’s too much of them and less of a personal touch. He needs some time to grow, because right now he isn’t even in the same league as Ne-Yo let alone Usher or Michael Jackson.
I’m digging, “Take You Down” although I think its a bit mature for an 18 year old. I thought he said he was a virgin.
“Gimme Whatcha Got” featuring Lil Wayne-This is a mixtape single not something i would have put on the album.
“Down” featuring Kanye West and “With You” are cool.

I think Chris Breezy is a talented kid despite what most would say. Most kids his age are into gangs, chasing girls etc but this kid is focused and using his talents.

I like Chris Brown. I agree with #6. He can only get better as time goes on. He’s still kinda young, thus causing him to appeal to a younger audience. But then again, he could appeal to kids for many years to come like Bow Wow and Omarion….
wack. Mario’s joint is way better. He’s a great dancer and thats about it. His whining on every track is annoying and his “Great” performance on the VMA’s, was only great if he was being measured for lip-syncing. As much as they wanna compare him to the other greats, Michael, Usher and even Justin NEVER lip sync. He shoulda waited like two three years before he came out instead of rushing this new mediocre project.
This cd is going to sell like 500,000 copies in the first week proving how dumb the American music listener is! This cd is a huge step down from his first one and his vocals on the songs sound strained and outta wack, kinda like a male Keyshia Cole with much lesser vocal talent. He should have took time to make a quality album instead of rushing to release this messy thing. Chris Brown is steadily turning into the male Beyonce becoming overexposed…i see commercials for This Christmas way too much, i see commercials for his cd way too much, 106 and park is constantly on his nutsack every day, then i see commercials for his tour way too much, i hear kiss kiss way too much for someone who can’t sing, why is there so much hype over this dude?

“With you” sounds too much like “Irreplacable” as far as the melody goes. I didn’t like “Kiss, Kiss”. I don’t know how many albums CB gonna sell this time around and he drop the same day as Jay-Z. I know CB has a solid fan base but with that he’ll probably barely go platnium.

For those who say Chris can’t compare to others, remember Usher had a flop album, a shelved album, etc… and he worked his way up to the success of his last 3 albums. Justin and Mike were entertainers as little kids, etc.. I’m all for comparisons, but you’d have to compare apples to apples. Chris just needs more time to grow and mature as an artist. And as far as his vocals go– when his first album dropped I wondered how that would work because all the male teenage artists go through that phase where they don’t know how their voice will end up. There was a point where Usher wasn’t sure he’d have a career when he was going through vocal changes. Is the album great, no, but I hope labels stick by artists through tough times to mold them for longevity instead of dropping them them when they can’t match their last album’s numbers.

Nobody’s second album is as good as their first album. Some people have bad albums altogether. Chris is young and very talented. Yes he will probably sell more than 500,000 copies he may even sell more than Jay-z’s album. I bet you were standing in line for jay-z’s last album and it wasn’t worth putting out. My advice quite hating on people in the music business if you have any talent about yourself get out there and try and do what they do then if you sell a copy go to concreteloop and tell us about it.
