Overall it gets a 6/10 —And No I’m Not Hatin’, Just Listen For Yourself!And I MEAN LISTEN, not just be like “oh, he’s my boo”, that doesn’t make it a “GOOD” CD!

Not feeling this album at all. The beats are hot but the dude can’t sing and the lyrics are trash

“Take You Down” for instance is a mess. He says the same shit on repeat throughout the whole song, and I don’t want my 10 year old daughter singing lyrics about fucking.

“Nice” is hot song with some good lyrics.

And why is it necessary that he has a guest rapper on half of the songs on the album? There’s too much of them and less of a personal touch. He needs some time to grow, because right now he isn’t even in the same league as Ne-Yo let alone Usher or Michael Jackson.

I’m digging, “Take You Down” although I think its a bit mature for an 18 year old. I thought he said he was a virgin.

“Gimme Whatcha Got” featuring Lil Wayne-This is a mixtape single not something i would have put on the album.

“Down” featuring Kanye West and “With You” are cool.

Can’t wait to hear the complete record to give a better opinion.

I think Chris Breezy is a talented kid despite what most would say. Most kids his age are into gangs, chasing girls etc but this kid is focused and using his talents.

His whining on every track is annoying and his “Great” performance on the VMA’s, was only great if he was being measured for lip-syncing. As much as they wanna compare him to the other greats, Michael, Usher and even Justin NEVER lip sync. He shoulda waited like two three years before he came out instead of rushing this new mediocre project.

This cd is going to sell like 500,000 copies in the first week proving how dumb the American music listener is! This cd is a huge step down from his first one and his vocals on the songs sound strained and outta wack, kinda like a male Keyshia Cole with much lesser vocal talent. He should have took time to make a quality album instead of rushing to release this messy thing. Chris Brown is steadily turning into the male Beyonce becoming overexposed…i see commercials for This Christmas way too much, i see commercials for his cd way too much, 106 and park is constantly on his nutsack every day, then i see commercials for his tour way too much, i hear kiss kiss way too much for someone who can’t sing, why is there so much hype over this dude?

“With you” sounds too much like “Irreplacable” as far as the melody goes. I didn’t like “Kiss, Kiss”. I don’t know how many albums CB gonna sell this time around and he drop the same day as Jay-Z. I know CB has a solid fan base but with that he’ll probably barely go platnium.

And as far as his vocals go– when his first album dropped I wondered how that would work because all the male teenage artists go through that phase where they don’t know how their voice will end up. Is the album great, no, but I hope labels stick by artists through tough times to mold them for longevity instead of dropping them them when they can’t match their last album’s numbers.

Nobody’s second album is as good as their first album. Some people have bad albums altogether. Chris is young and very talented. I Have been waiting since August for this album to come out and I cannot say it was worth the wait. I was looking forward to seeing him mature and grow on this album and when I saw that he had an impressive roster of writers and producers, I was expecting more, so much more. His last album was great and he pretty much nailed the “young boy yet mature” sound he was going for. It would have probably even been better if he just put out the unreleased tracks from his last album because alot of those were better than the tracks he decided to release on his album He has not gotten better vocally, in fact he has gotten worse. I am almost offended that this album is just so mediocre.

In “nice” The Game sounds like he was forced to be there and didnt really wanna do the track at all. There are alot of annoying, skippable tracks. “Take You Down” Is probably the best track on the album, even though it is maybe an album too early to be singing about that. And “You” is pretty catchy as well. Bearable tracks include “throwed” “hold up” and “down”. The rest are garbage. I tried REALLY hard to like this album but its about damn time I stop lying to myself.

I have also listened to the entire album and the only tracks that are really of any quality in my opinion are Take U Down, You, Kiss Kiss, and Lottery…I think that if chris brown was gonna go for a mature album, he should have went the whole way…not just one song…I liked his first album a lot more…but we’ll see how the sales go!

Oh yeah and vocal-wise i see very little change in Chris’s range or delivery…he still sounds very pre-puberty to me…

The song held my attention for longer than any other Chris Brown song. Ok, he doesn’t have the best voice, but i hear potential. When he gets sum bass in there and starts working with a vocal coach he will be pretty good.

I listened to the whole thing on The Leak at mtv.com.

He hit the sophomore slump hard. This CD contains some very skippable tracks, unlike the debut, which was in heavy rotation in my iPod for many months. Maybe it will grow on me, because I like Chris, and I want to support him. I love “Down” and “Take You Down”, after those….it’s going to take me some time.

I listened to his album on wednsday and I was dissapointed to say the least. I love love LOVED his first LP, but this one falls short. It only has 4 solid songs, the rest are skipped thru constantly. Also his voice sounds really bad. Now I know he’s still a “child” (this nucca is 18 an folks actin like he a baby…get real) and his voice isnt matured, but it still sounds undeveloped for his age.

Now chris brown is extra fine, and this 20 yr old would definetly give him the bizness, but I cant say that I support him as an artist. To me he is a Rihanna with dancing abilities…and without the megga hit songs.

This is a bit OT, but some of you have mentioned Trey Songz and others… Is it just me are or these people straight up stealing Neyo’s style? I mean, the Mario song “How do I breathe” and Trey’s “can’t help but wait” are straight up Neyo sounding…and while I don’t know if Neyo’s team had anything to do with Trey’s song, I know that Mario and another set of producers did “How do I breathe”… It’s crazy to me that they’d straight up take the man’s style… even though it is easy enough to take, all you need is a simple beat and clean vocals and you’ve got it, exactly…

Because you can’t play this album from start to finish! The album is garbage. I had trouble making it past “Kiss Kiss” which is an awful song.

TLC’s “Crazysexycool” is an album I can play from start to finish, Usher’s “Confessions” is an album I can play from start to finish, Jay-Z’s “Reasonable Doubt” is an album I can play from start to finish…….NOT CHRIS’ ALBUM!

And another thing, this album has been getting terrible reviews from critics they have been criticizing this album for it’s lack of lyrical dexterity, the overproduced beats, Chris’ lack of vocal talent, and the fact that the rappers have zero chemistry with Chris when they jump on the many tracks they’re featured on.

One more thing…..STOP SAYING PEOPLE ARE “HATING” because they’re speaking the truth! I cannot believe I just read through a full page of comments about how cute this boy is. What does that have to do with his music? I’m hoping that the majority of these comments are coming from middle school aged girls, because if you are over the age of 16 and spending your hard earned retail job paycheck on music for someone’s looks than you need to rethink your life.

I haven’t gave all the songs much listen but from what I heard it sounds like garbage.
I never purchase anything from this guy but I have found a few of his songs catchy. It’s apparent however, that this kid equates guest appearences with a hot track. This only proves to the fact that he can’t stand on his own. And that’s including his latest #1 single, which would be nothing without T-Pain (who is equally annoying but atleast manages to give the song some kind of melodic feel).
His dancing is good, but he doesn’t market himself like an artist that is all about the dancing. Look at Britney for an example. She has made an excellent dance album, this girl knows her boundaries. She’s not on the track trying to belt high notes that she knows she isn’t capable of.
So no one is jealous of this boy or hating on him. Fame isn’t everything and I can bet that no one posting here will achieve it through the entertainment industry. What you little girls need to do is get your education. Especially “ShortieCake” and “Mixed Ma”. Because while you sit here claiming everyone is hating we will be advancing our selves through other routes and you will be sitting at your computer masterbating to shirtless “bird-chested” Chris Brown.

Ok…first I would like to state that I do not like Chris Brown that much. I think he is corny, goofy, and tries too hard to be someone that he’s not…which in my opinion puts him on par with most boys his age. However, I don’t see anything wrong with him singing about sex. I’m a teenager myself and I can definitely say that I have not met too many eighteen year old virgins. And yeah, little girls and boys listen to his music, but like I always say if we leave it up to celebrities to worry about the morals and values of our children then we’re going to have a huge problem. If you’re a mother or father and you have a problem with your child listening to songs about people having sex then it’s YOUR job to monitor that. Yeah, he may suffer loss of record sales because his target audience is too young for what he’s talking about or whatever but I don’t understand why people always act like it’s the artist’s fault that their children are listening to inappropriate things. Chris Brown isnt completely to blame. Every artist pretty much has throw away tracks that should never see the light of day but in Chris Brown’s case, alot of these tracks made the final cut. His label must be on that shit because ALOT of his unreleased track for the album are fire! Where is a classic B Cox ballad? He did produce at least 2 or 3 but they decide to put “throwed” on the album instead. “Miss You” with Jontah Austin is definitley single material and it boggles my mind that it didnt make the cut, despite the positive reception once it was leaked, and I defintiely feel he should be putting out that record instead of “with you”(which shouldnt have even made the cut for the album in the first place).
