Damn Kanye. All I can say is it WILL get easier. I dont cry when I talk about my dad anymore. I can actually laugh and smile when I think of him now. It took years for me to get here but one day Kanye you will be able to do the same. You wont dwell on the fact that she is gone and you will be able to enjoy every wonderful memory you have of her. Stay strong and we see you trying to stay busy. Whatever gets you through this.

I feel so incredibly sad for him right now…I know what is it like to lose a parent; I lost my father to cancer THE DAY I GRADUATED. That was so horrible for me. But I think most men are closer to their mom. My mother became my dad, too, and she is everything to me. We’d like to think that people will live forever, but sadly, it is not the case. It’s so wonderful to know that he has so many people who care about him and are genuinely concerned about his well being. And we all know that what doesn’t kill you…will only make you STRONGER.

He is trying to keep himself busy by performing, but Kanye you need to take a small break. WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!! You will get through this.

My heart TRULY goes out to Kanye! My eyes are full right now. I can’t even begin to imagine what he’s going through. He tried to be strong by even attempting to go out so soon after his loss. Eddie, I am not sure if you lost your mother or not, but dude s personally hate when people say, “she’s in heaven looking over you”. I lost my mother when I wuz 11 years old. She died suddenly like Kanye’s mom did, from a brain anurysm. His mother’s passing brought back alot of memories, sadness and I personally felt his pain. His mother passed on November 10. My mother would have made 60 yrs old that day.. In my opinion, it’s always better to say, “i’ll be praying for you” or “stay strong”. That’s always easier than “she’s in heaven looking over you” or she’s in a better place”. Don’t nobody want to hear that, i know i did’nt. Cause i wanted my mommy with me here. 20 years later..I’m ok with her looking over me.. Kanye I know you blog on tis site and if you ever read tis, I would like for you to know, although I dont know you, I feel your pain.. I’ll keep you in my prayers, and when I pray for my strenght. I will pray for your’s as well… God bless you and your family…

Just got back from his second show in Brussel, Belgium today. And I must say MUCH RESPECT “YE!!
It was a wonderful great performance!! One of the best I’ve seen in a long time…
I also wanted to hug him and tell him it’s gonna be alright, it was very emotional
But I also think it’s a good thing he’s back already doing his thing.
My father passed away in january and I also started working very quick after it happened. It felt good to have my mind on something else as well, besides all that pain..
In a few months or weeks he will get a sign from his soul/body and take some rest and go through it..Be strong and much love

This video really made my heart sink, i dnt even know Kanye West or his mother personally and i felt just the same amount of sadness as if I did. I physically wanted to jump through this computer screen and give him a hug, just embrace him because sometimes you dnt need sympathetic words you just need to be held. Why are they making him perform? this is too tragic of a time for him to be working, he needs to be left alone from the worries of this industry for atleast 6 months and that still isn’t enough. My dad died when I was 12, it took me years to stop bursting into tears at random moments,i’m now 19 and I’m still deeply hurt.

Really tough to watch…You can truly feel his pain. I commend him and maybe even understand a little why he might want to go out and perform instead of being locked away somewhere lost in sadness….he will be in mourning for a very long time and for some, the best way to heal is to do what you know your lost loved one would want you to do and that is what you love to do (in Kanye’s case that is to perform). As an only child I can not phathom the thought of how he must feel but hopefully he knows that there is lots of love and support from his fans worlwide…..

I know from experience that there is NOTHING more heartbreaking and devastating than losing a parent unexpectedly, no matter how “grown” you are. It leaves you so empty, hollow, and lonely. And there is nothing another living soul can do to help you. I hope everyone around Kanye gives him the room and the right to grieve. I hope no one is telling him to “be strong.” This is a time when he should not be expected to be strong - those around him need to be strong for him.

I don’t know who those people were who hugged him, but I’m glad they did. It’s in times like these that, other than God, you really need people to help you through it. I know everybody grieves in their own way, but from what I can tell it seems like Kanye grieves like I do.

He needs someone to talk to, a shoulder to cry on,a strong hug, and God to heal his broken heart.

I know Kanye was just trying to be strong and do what his mother would want him to do, but he needs to take some time for himself and grieve. I couldn’t imagine performing, much less eating if something GOD forbid happened to my mother, but I respect him for it. WOW! This was too emotional for me to watch. My heart goes out to Kanye and his family. Donda was an incredible and beautiful human being. I was talking with his attorney Allison and she told me that Kanye is very torn which that is an expected feeling. I was so sad when I heard the news because my mom passed away 6 years ago and she was my world. I have other brothers and sisters but my mom was my bestest friend in the whole wide world. I am an accomplished young lady and with all of my successes the times are harder for me to deal with her passing. My mom was my comfort blanket. No matter what was going on in my life, I knew that I could always depend on her and I knew that I had no worries in the world. She made me feel safe and I knew that I could do anything with my mother by my side, but now I’m facing the world on my own. It did help me become more independent but sometimes I feel this BIG void in my life and it is a feeling that I know Kanye is going to be able to relate to. I’m just really going to pray for Kanye and his family. I pray he has strength through his journey in life because the passing of his mother will be with him throughout the rest of his career and life and you all best believe that it will be the most difficult experience that he will ever have to live with.

Kanye know that you are loved by many and your mom reminds me of my mom. I’m pretty sure they are in heaven having a good time looking over us. Stay up and just know that God’s will for her life was completed. She got you to the point to be able to stand on your own and you will see it through! You are an incredible young man and we all LOVE YOU YE’!!

KanYe was absolutely fantastic and made a 1.30 hour show before trying to sin Hey mama…

When the instrumental began everybody was clappin their handz,
But Ye never succeed in singing, and 2 minutes after, broke in tears…
His Chorist and DJ A-Trak then took him in their arms….

After that he finished with a 10 minutes version of Stronger that was amazing…

Common started the show and was great too!!

I wish Kanye would have waited alittle longer………I think it’s too soon, maybe he should have waited until after the holidays or something.

I was there in the audience. And When the song started I was like “Will he be able tO keep it up?”… I was really anxiOus. And then, he just cOuldn’t continue…he just brOke dOwn.
I just started CryinG too. And all the crOwd reacted in an AmazinG way, encOuraging him, applauding… It was electric & maGiC. But still so so saD.
I have a huGe respect fOr what Kanye West did on SaturDay. He just came back to SinG “StronGer”. Unleashed. YOu cOuld feel that he wanted tO exOrcize the pain!

I used to think that this man was tOo self-confident & I didn’t really like his personnality. But nOw, I must admit, he’s a GREAT artist, & a strOng man. I gOt a looot of respect for this.

Its so strange. i feel like this is a friend’s mother. I just want to reach out and hug him. It think it is because he is so open, honest, vulnerable and genuine that we all feel it too. So many people in the entertainment idnustry are focused on projecting an image and distancing their performances, and what should be “art”, from their real lives. kanye really understands that true artistry is a reflection of your life and deeply intertwined with the things that matter most. His mom was one of those people who made him who he is and her influences are so present in all his talents. Once the initial pain and heartbreak has begun to subside, he should feel satisfied knowing that his mother KNEW her son loved her. If we, as strangers knew it, surely she did as well. I think about him all the time right and I pray that he can heal soon.

I lost my grandmother 3yrs ago which was more like my mother because she really took care of me and my son. Shortly after her passing I found out I ws pregnant with beautiful twin girls which I had on her birthday 09/02/2005. The point I making is there is light at the end of the tunnel. It hurts and the pain never goes away it just gets easier to deal with. Our family loves you Kanye hang in there we are all praying for you.

I was supposed to see Kanye perform in Amsterdam today, but when I heard the news about his mother a week ago, I already knew that the show would be cancelled. He needs time to grieve, like anyone else in this situation.

The church that they’re having the service at also has a private school. My stepchildren go there and the pricipal called us today and said they decided to close the school tomorrow because the service is tomorrow and they know there’s going to be alot of security and they didn’t want anything to disract the kids. I heard a couple of chicken heads in the grocery store talking about it. they will be out in full force tomorrow.

Kanye it broke my heart when your mother passed away. It was hard for me to take it in because I was just watching you and her on the Ellen show. I know what it is like to lose someone close to you, I lost my grandmother and she meant the world to everybody she ever came in contact with like your mother. I ain’t gonna lie it’s gonna be hard, But what we did to get through was remember all her famous sayings, looks, and feelings. Losing a parent is very difficult and nothing com pares to it. Your mother is irreplaceable and no one could ever come close Four years ago I lost my mother to cancer and its not a day that goes by and I don’t think of her. So to you Kanye remember the good times and cherish the memories and know that you can alwys talk to her she’ll be by your side forever. Now she’s your guardian angel.
