Applebottoms, just to be fair, Quincy Jones did NOT write and produce the majority of Michael’s music. Michael composed, written and produced ‘Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough’, ‘Workin Day and Night’, ‘Get on the floor’, ‘Beat It’, ‘Billie Jean’, etc. If anything, you got to give props to Rod Temperton, because HE wrote some of the songs on the albums, Quincy did not.

demos available there. Good stuff. Michael had Randy and Janet play some of the instruments, and you could here them arguing in the background, lmao. I got to upload that sometime.

Personally, I’m no longer impressed with MJ. For one, his last few cds been garbage. Second, He is mentally ill and that’s the truth. The only reason they let him run wild is because he’s rich but if he was a regular dude in the street wearing powdered make-up including lipstick, fondling kids, and trying to change his whole appearance from black to..whatever (including his european hair transplants) we would lock his azz under either a jail or mental ward. I’m not saying he’s not a talented man because obviously he is but he need professional help. He’s mentally ill but his family is like many black families who are in denial and shame of mental illness so they don’t address it by getting him the help that he need.

@69 Aside from his iconic dance moves, he is not being ” eccentric and a freak”, Mike is mentally ill. I’m not taking anything from him but it what it is. I still love his old groundbreaking music, still love what he did for the industry and black artists in particular but…he’s mentally ill on a level that requires more than a couch, some tissues, and a psychologist. He need a psychiatrist who actually write prescriptions for Schizophrenia, Bipolar/Manic Depression, Personality Disorder, etc. I’m not trying to change the love that people have for him but it is what it is. If I had to choose between him being well and a great entertainer I would choose his well-being.
