I am aware of that, but a lot of ppl (especially based on the media and stereotypes) wanna generalise black women and put them in one-box (including some black men who date and marry white women). It’s quite sad really, since I know a lot of black married women (friends, family, etc) who are wonderful spouses. They’re in love with their husbands, always willing to put the family first and taking care of their children, and never fall into the stereotype of black women as over-demanding, bad attitude, baby mama, gold diggin types–images which are so often perpetuated in this society.

What I should have said is that I hope that brothers just look at this as just another ex-married couple gettin a settlement, like so many millions of couples out there, and not attribute it to the black woman.

People keep saying she put her dreams on hold, she was a mortgage banker… I think she should get PAID!!!!
